My mom and I stopped in for brunch on one of her visits and I must say I was impressed. The staff was friendly. We were seated right away upon coming into the place. The food did not take that long but long enough for us to chat a bit. I must say food to me always taste better when I am not cooking it but the food was so good. It tasted like I made it myself. The prices were cool and for the size portion I was pleased. Would definitely go again.

It's empty since it's 10:44 in the morning, so the problem wasn't that they were busy.. I ordered a well-toasted bagel with cream cheese and a side of bacon, along with well-done hash browns. Good luck with that. The bagel was not well toasted; the cream cheese was OK, and the bacon was OK. The hashbrowns were. There's a picture. I'll show you. They were not done not just not well done they were not cooked and they were cold . My husband also ordered well done hashbrowns his were burnt to a crisp crunchy like potato chips, which he ate, but certainly were not well done hashbrowns. I thought there might've been a language barrier between us and the waitress because she really was not accommodating or helpful there turned out to be no language, problem just attitude problem. My husband got a scramble with chorizo he called it average neither good nor bad except for the stupid hash browns, but you'll see a picture. So in a quiet restaurant at a reasonable hour, we had poor service uncooked or badly cooked food. That was their choice. I personally will never go back..

We paid about $40ish for breakfast for 2. Which is a great price nowadays. Plus the portions are good size and the food is delicious. They told us it was about a 20 min on Sunday morning but ended up being less. Our waitress was very pleasant. I love coming to this Yolk it's always clean and a good experience overall.

We wanted a reasonably quick, no frills place to grab breakfast before heading out of Indy for a weekend getaway. Yolk turned out to be a lovely choice. The server was really friendly and the overall vibe was fun -- bright and cheerful. Beyond that, it delivered like a good breakfast place should. The food was tasty and the coffee good.

I placed an order online, food was ready in about 30 minutes. I had the Very Berry French Toast and hickory smoked bacon. It was good. Good customer service, I was greeted when I entered the restaurant. It was clean and full of customers. Next time I want to eat in instead of eating at home.

Had a great experience at Yolk City Way, located inside The Alexander Hotel. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and portion sizes you get. The food was excellent - well-prepared, flavorful, and very filling. Service was also great - friendly, attentive, and efficient. One small warning: come hungry. Portions are generous, and it's easy to over-order if you're not careful! Overall, a fantastic breakfast/brunch spot in Indy. Would definitely come back.

We had a great experience at Yolk in Indianapolis. The food was excellent across the board, and we sat at the bar which ended up being a great spot. I usually base a lot of choices on coffee options and was happy to see flavored creamers for drip and LOTS of specialty options for coffee lovers. The woman working on the getting plates ready for the servers and expediting food was fantastic--super attentive and kept everything moving quickly. We watched everyone's plates came out fast and fresh the entire time. We ordered the All Star and upgraded the cinnamon roll French toast for $3, which was absolutely amazing and worth it. We also got a half order of the red velvet French toast--just as good and perfectly done with fresh strawberries. The avocado toast was solid as well. Only small note: the capers were a nice touch, but pickled red onion instead of fresh chopped would've taken it over the top for more balance and brightness. Overall, really good food, great service, and we'll definitely be back.

I had sausages and crapes, Egg whites and bacon. I didn't really like the crapes, didn't like the texture of the crêpes. But everything else was good

Food was the worst breakfast I've had in a while. The steak tasted and smelled like it had been sitting in the freezer for too long, and the hash browns were so undercooked they were hard to eat. The waiter was great, but the food definitely missed the mark.

Fantastic breakfast. Only downside they told us 30 minute wait and we waited over a hour. The food came out very fast and was unbelievable . Lot of bang for your buck

I so miss this brunch place since I moved from Indy so I try to visit when I'm back in town. I was a little disappointed to learn that they just changed their menu to remove the red velvet French toast - my absolute favorite - but was overjoyed when they still had stuff for it in the back and I was able to get it one last time. I will definitely miss it in future visits but they're still got other great French toast and brunch food in general. I also always love their speciality coffees. I went with the rosemary molasses latte this time and it was so good. My partner got the breakfast burrito which was also a great dish and good to split with the sweetness of the French toast. Our server was great and I really appreciate him going the extra mile to get me my red velvet French toast one more time. I definitely recommend yolk if you're in the area!

Was told this was the best breakfast spot and it definitely lived up to the hype! The wait was reasonable, the service phenomenal, and the food absolutely delicious. Zero complaints. So glad I found a new favorite on my first visit!

If you're looking for a breakfast that's a little bit extra, yolk is the place to go! The portions are very generous and the wait staff was really kind. Went on a Friday morning and it was a laid back vibe but I can only imagine how busy weekends get.

However, I was disappointed that a portion of the automatically added 20% gratuity will be going to Jess W. I expected better service, especially with gratuity already included. When I asked if I could purchase a side of hash browns, I was willing to pay the additional charge. Instead, I was told there "was only enough for the hash browns on the burgers." The response felt dismissive, and there was no effort to see if another option was available or to provide a more customer-focused explanation. I understand that menu items may have limitations, but good service is about how those situations are handled. Unfortunately, the level of service I received today did not meet my expectations. Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

I would have to say this restaurant is my favorite in Indy right now after one meal. Most of the things we shared were amazing and for a complete description please refer to my photo of the menu. We ordered the following: Burrata with Amelia's bread as an appetizer which was delicious. Gem Salad - This was amazing and I could eat it every day of the week. Stacci house made pasta - This was a big hit and I would order this every time. Hanger Steak - My husband, aka the picky eater, loved it. I didn't try it, but everyone seemed to like it. Chicken with a few dumplings - We all loved this. Three desserts to share: a cheesecake with fruit on top, one a bread pudding and a chocolate crisp. I ordered a delicious Monsoon Season cocktail with song cai vietnamese gin, cocchi americano, st. george thai basil eau de vie, elderflower, lemon and basil oil. My son and I also ordered glasses of Port after dinner. The service was great and I loved that they were playing really good rock music like Soundgarden and others. There are lots of antique typewriters above the bar and a cool print of Kurt Vonnegut by the bathrooms. I am looking forward to going again the next time my husband and I are in Indy visiting my son and daughter-in-law unless they move out of state.
