I recently had a home inspection done by RJ, and could not have been happier. I had no idea what to expect from a home inspection, as it was my first one, and was nervous to ask questions, follow him around, etc. Wasn't sure the protocol. As soon as the inspector showed up I immediately felt at ease. He not only answered all of my questions in a friendly manner, but thoroughly explained everything to me, so he knew I actually understood what the issues/concerns were; not only in his responses to my questions, but in his explanations of each picture he was taking, each thing he was looking at, before I even asked. He clearly felt it was of high importance that I felt comfortable with the the entire process, each step of the way, as opposed to just letting me follow him around and refer to the report for explanations later. The report was extremely thorough, with pictures depicting any/all issues he had referenced. He found a handful of things that raised flags, including a couple large issues with a common area hot water heater. This had apparently been missed by another home inspection company, because mine was not the first unit purchased after the system was installed. Upon RJ's inspection, the association instantly got the issues taken care of, as they were hazardous to the entire building. The combination of knowledge and professionalism, while still extremely personable and friendly, was more than I could ask for, and frankly, from hearing others' experiences with their home inspections, much more than I had expected. We are buying our first home and were recommended to RJ inspections by our realtor. We feel like we hit the jackpot when it comes to home inspectors! Adam was professional, informative and did an all around wonderful job with our inspection. We are looking at a house 100+ years old and he provided us information throughout the house on what needed to be addressed, while also being aware of the age of the house and differences in houses from the time period. He gave us helpful information throughout the process, ample opportunities to ask questions (checking on us throughout) and was super knowledgeable on things unique to the area. The inspection report was provided to us the same day as inspection, was provided online, and included notations, photos, call outs and a coding system for areas of concern . This will allow us to refer back to post move-in and prioritize based on our budget/areas of concern. We chose RJ Inspections as they came highly recommended. We worked with Brett, who was wonderful. He was supposed to be off that day but luckily he agreed to do our inspection. We arrived half an hour earlier and Brett was already at the house, getting his initial assessment of the exterior. My husband and I are completely new to this house buying thing and are by no means handy or knowledgeable in the field. Brett put our anxiety at ease as he was extremely thorough and patient, breaking things down in laymen terms so we can understand exactly what's going on. Brett spent a good amount of time with us as we had a slew of questions for him and he never once expressed frustration or eagerness to wrap-up. RJ Inspections sent a young man named John Manson to inspect a mobile home for us in Hooksett New Hampshire. He got there early. Right away when he showed me what he found so far I knew the inspection was going to be good. He gave a rundown on what he was going to do. He spoke very well and was very informative. He was very thorough and didn't rush things. Later in the day I was blown away by the report. It captured everything he was saying as he pointed out things. The pictures and charts made everything crystal clear. He found plenty of problems, but regardless the type of report RJ Inpspections does is an invaluable tool for doing maintenance. When I looked over the agreement it seemed to imply the inpection would be pretty superficial. All that legalize, so you don't expect too much. That was not the case. They delivered more than I expected. It would be useful to get such an inspection even if you weren't selling or buying the house. My real estate agent referred this company. RJs was recommended to us by our Realtor as a preferred vendor. Great recommendation! As a first time home buyer I had lots and lots of questions. We understand that this is a big investment and we have been reading up on all things homebuyer. Ryan was extremely well informed, and saw things that I never would have noticed. He explained everything in detail, what implications this had on the home, how to take preventative measures, and even gave tips on what work may need to be done to correct what he was seeing. He also explained how the report process would work, how he will clarify the level on concern on his report, and how to access him for any follow-up questions that we may have. We used RJ Inspections 2x in our housing search (unfortunately for us). They found a lot of concerns in the first house we were looking at and encouraged us to bring back specific experts to investigate further. We appreciated that they knew where we needed to look deeper than the general inspection. They also did a great job at explaining what is actually a concern and what is flagged a concern because they need to do it. We decided to walk away from the house based on the scope of work needed to be done and we are very thankful for their thorough inspection. We used both Adam and Rob and they were both great. They were not only knowledgeable, but they also explained things at a very basic level (without making us feel dumb). (Hectic times purchasing a house) The day before I thought I should really research them...huge chance I was taking not being sure of the quality of there work. We brought my husband's father with us (a 30yr home owner) for the inspection. Not only was Adam (inspector) great and personable but he was really honest with scaling where things were in terms of like, not tooooo bad, to needing to be done within the first 6months of homeownership. We needed a last-minute home inspection and RJ Inspections was able to schedule one for us right away (we called at 9:00 am and got an inspection scheduled for 3:00 pm that same day). Brett was great to work with on the home inspection. He walked us through each part of the house (inside and outside) with explanations that were thorough but not too overwhelming.
