First time I tried going it was closed due to renovations but went back when it was done and GOD DAMN! That is hands down the best restaurant in St. Cloud, walking from a truck stop parking lot into what feels like a nice New York restaurant is something I never thought I would experience in this town. The food won't disappoint you either, I had their wontons for an appetizer and my girlfriend and I were fighting over the last one even the sauce itself tasted amazing. Loved the burger I ordered with the pretzel bun (can't remember what it's called) so much I actually stopped to taste it, all jokes aside, best quality burger in St. Cloud, Waite park, Sauk Rapids and maybe even in Sartell. Look I understand that you take pride in your food and service but if a customer is telling you that the food that was served to him made him throw up. Then the least you could do is offer a voucher or a refund! I was not fond of the managers acidic tone towards me, they disregard an ill customer and tried to make it seem like it was my fault. read more

This is the second time in two weeks that I have eaten at RJs, and once again I was not disappointed! The food is excellent. I have now tried both the Southwest Chicken Salad and the Fish Tacos. Bothe we fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is very nice as welm and the servers are friendly, helpful and professional. The menu has a very nice selection from snafwiches to main courses. I really don't think this is as "sketchy" of a location as people say. When I read this was attached to a gas station I was expecting more of a diner, but no! This is a very nice restaurant! Our car broke down, and while we were waiting for it to be fixed our mechanic recommended this place for lunch. It was delicious! Found this place in a truck stop right off the interstate on a Friday night. We drive from Minneapolis to Alexandra almost every weekend to visit grandkids. Nice place, very well decorated. The food was great but very overpriced for the portion size. $26.00 for a 12 oz. NY Strip steak and 2 sides. Want a soup or salad that will cost you $3-6 more. Then they bring out the bread. What a joke!!! We received 2-12" long skinny breadsticks served in a cone that was only 6" deep with a plastic cup of butter jammed inside. The bread was falling over the side and it looked terrible. We asked why we only received 2 breadsticks the waiter explained it was because we only ordered 1 entree. Apparently if we had each ordered an entree we would have received 4. We didn't want more bread it just looked cheesy. Once the food arrived it was very, very good. The service we received was top notch. The waiter/bartender knew the menu and made some great suggestions. He was also very helpful with directions and ideas to some of the sights and sounds of the city. He was chatty but not too much letting us enjoy our time together. We ordered beer and it was served very fast and in an awesome frosted mug. Again it seemed a little pricey. We will probably stop back but not very often because of the pricing which is unfortunate because the place has some potential and the waiter was awesome. So if you want great food and don't mind opening your wallet stop in but if you are looking for a good cheaper option stop 2 exits earlier in Clearwater. read more

Received some of the worst service here. Server promptly greeted us, that was about it. It took her 3 "visits" to actually take our drink order (we had to ask if we could just order our food and drinks because she kept leaving). When the kids food and our appetizers arrived, we asked for silverware, plates and napkins (our table was empty although we had a reserved sign on it, it wasn't set). Our server left and didn't come back. We waited patiently for over 15 minutes for silverware and napkins. My son, starving had to eat his noodles with his hands. My husband chased down a server who must have been too busy to get us silverware. I tracked down another, who provided. Our original server finally came back: "How is everything?" which I stated the problem. We asked if we could get another appetizer, which she said, "I'll have to charge you full price." We asked for a manager, who was very nice (after visiting our table about 10 minutes after we asked for her!) who gave us our second appetizer at no charge. Big deal. Thanks for the free $6 appetizer, but I've got a kid covered in butter and we've been waiting WAYY too long for basic tableware! I wish I knew about this place before. It's situated very close to I94 and easy to get to. The food was very good, I had the prime rib sandwich served on soft hoagie bun with caramelized onions and a great horseradish/mayo sauce, served with french fries. You can substitute sweet potatoes fries for a bit more. Their soups are homemade and theirs salads and deserts looked awesome. The restaurant has a very warm decor with full bar service and the wait staff was great, we never had to ask for refills and were in and out during lunch in less than 30 minutes. This restaurant is located in a strip mall, behind a truck stop...not where you would expect to find this kind of quality! My first trip there we tried the Black and Bleu Burger and the Asian Salad, and both were outstanding. They also had some Tomato Florentine Soup that was out of this world. Second trip we tried the Walleye Sandwich and Nachos. The Nachos were huge and served with a delicious pico de gallo, and the Walleye Sandwich was excellent.
