5 Stars This is probably the second review I've written in my adult life--but Radio Knobs and Things absolutely earned it. I called them in a bind with a completely dead audio system in my show car. Despite being booked out for weeks, they told me to bring it in right away--and somehow worked me in for a full diagnostic. What they found was shocking: a blown amp, bad wiring, and crossovers installed in the water catch by the last installer (a major chain). Venard, Chris, and Ty didn't just fix it--they gave my car the system it always deserved. No upselling. Just top-tier workmanship, clear communication, and a sound system that absolutely rocks. 3 Stars due to the efforts of the qualified Installer that was abled to undo the coworker lousy work. I went to get a remote start & alarm installed in my automobile at Radio Knobs Speakers. After selecting an alarm with the features I wanted, such as the remote alarm, automatic start, and allowing me to operate the features that came with my car, trunk release, and the ability to use my cell phone to operate , same as the key fob. To my horror I arrived early and was there almost to closing . As I got into my car nothing was working as it should have. They didn't even check to see if the job was okay. To my surprise the installer attempted to put blame on my cars age, his boss the owner kept silent to my surprise. They hadn't even connected the trunk release and wanted to charge me extra. Thank God there was a qualified installer that came to the rescue. He went over everything the following day, apologized for the inconvenience. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. read more

Took an older model Toyota Venza in for a backup camera. Without a navigation screen, a small display was needed. They completed the job within a couple hours. Beautiful work. No wires showing and an excellent product that exceeded my expectations. Very fair price. Very personable and professional. A bit out of my way to get there but really worth it. Had a remote starter installed there for my hybrid Camry. The job took about 45 mins and the guys were friendly and efficient. They use compustar which is top of the line. It's a little on the expensive side, but with remote starters, you get what you pay for. The reason I docked a star is because the rubber seal on the door was not installed properly at the end of the job. Simple fix, but also simple to avoid. read more

Love, love, love this place!! They've done some wiring for us before on our RZR (our stereo and chase lights) They always do an excellent job and are very reasonable on their pricing! But today they went above and beyond! We were getting ready to head up north and we've had some problems with the wiring for the lights on our trailer that we haul the RZR. Today they wouldn't come on at all! Even though we weren't sure this was the type of thing they would do we knew they were excellent at wiring so we figured what the heck we'll give them a call. They told us to come in and they found the problem and fixed it right away!! We were on the road on time and so happy that we called them and got it taken care of! read more

Thanks goes out to Dave, Henry and the staff at RKST for their quality customer service and workmanship. Thanks for taking me in promptly at my allotted time of 8am for the remote starter install. I was ready to stay and wait for the estimated 2.5 - 3 hr wait but was pleasantly surprised to have the service done within an hour and a half. While waiting, the manager Dave answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly. I have full confidence that I made the right choice in remote starter and quality service. An update: I had electrical issues randomly occurring this Sunday and I wanted to have the remote starter checked. They took the car in shortly after a brief conversation on Facebook messenger. Came in the same day and the guys thoroughly checked the install and all parts involved. They found no fault but as precaution, they replaced the harness no charge. In the meanwhile they answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns! I went in asking about upgrading the speakers in my 2016 Silverado. The guy who worked there told me not to bother unless I do an amp and a sub. He admitted that just changing the existing speakers wouldn't make much of a difference. I recall when RKST was a great place to have car audio done... February 19, 2018 (ALL DAY) I took my '02 Jeep Wrangler in for a complete install; head unit, dash speakers, sound bar component speakers, amplifier, and subwoofer. I bought all but the head unit from Crutchfield and before too long, I was sending back my amplifier and subwoofer for a better-priced amp and a better subwoofer - great salesmanship; however, the install took the entire day and while I was there were a few times that I thought the work was done, but the installer hooked the sub up wrong or forgot the rear speakers - etc., Finally I left eventhough I wasn't happy and I came back a few days later and then again a few days later beucase the sound was not right...period! ($1,300.00 - less $500.00 for items sent back to Crutchfield) The last visit it was clear that the head unit had some issues - which is why you never buy the demo. Anyway, I finally gave up and made arrangements with another shop and March 31, 2018, my stereo is AWESOME. The new shop found the crossovers were backward and the tweeters weren't even hooked up. The radio required an update from SONY - done. I ended up with a new amp and a reinstall of the entire system. ($800.00 - less $150.00 for the AMP, so $600.00) The subwoofer has a control knob, which was in the glove box and the new shop installed correctly. I had them move the USB2 from the glove box to the center console - PERFECT. It saddens me to think that RKST, the shop I've gone to since the late '80s' just doesn't put out the quality work anymore - oh and don't get me started on the dashcam install I had done on my '17 Grand Cherokee, but they made it right, so no need. So, all in all, I've spent $1,400.00 on my Wrangler, which seems like a lot, but if you own one or have owned one, you understand. 04/09/2018: UPDATE I received a call from Bob; the owner of RKST and he expressed a sincere apology for the issues I had with my Wrangler. He made it right and that speaks volumes... I will make a trip back to RKST soon. read more

Went here for some service on my husband's car and they were great. They had the car ready when it was promised and even gave us a small discount. The price was reasonable compared to other competitors. They accidentally left an expensive drill in our trunk but good thing we are honest people and returned it! They placed the speakers so that my wheelchair fits easily in the trunk and didn't have a problem with customizing for our needs. I highly recommend this place! read more

This place rocks! First I had my 1985 4Runner in here for the big three upgrade and they did an amazing job. Everything is nice and tidy. All zip tied in the correct places and just really nice work. I really hate letting anyone work on my truck and they just made me really happy with their work. I returned with my prius v and they help to wire up a remote start. They soldered in some wires and again were a pleasure to work with. They treat your car with respect and they know what they are doing. Can't really ask for more. These guys were terrific! I had a problem with hooking up an amp and the owner helped me out at no charge! Unbelievable in this day and age. I went home worked on the amp with no luck. It's hard for a guy to return and having to admit failure but I did. They got me hooked up with the proper equipment and got me in and out fast and for a great price. Well im reviewing them again and of course awesome I live in North Carolina and I was born and raised in Michigan so thats why I went to them in the first place. My amp blew fuses so I called up RKS&T and they said hey send it to up and they'll send me a new one to where I lived in NC and I received the amp and I called up and they even gave me step by step directions which was amazing. Then my sub blew something and again I called so I went on vacation to see family in Michigan and I went over to RKS&T and they replaced it sub it was awesome if you don't go to them then obviously you own your own electronic entertainment store, but if you don't hands down go to RKS&T plain and simple read more

I came in here to get a car starter for my mom's car because because she has to go to work at 5am and it's starting to get freezing out that early. SO WORTH IT! She loves it! I have looked at a couple of the other electronics stores in town and left unimpressed and fearful of making a BIG costly mistake. RKST was highly recommended to me by a friend who has had work done in the past. I stopped by the Walton Blvd. store just to see what they had to offer and was blown away. I am still amazed at the technology they have packed in their showroom. They have hands on working models that you can touch and play with. I was worried about getting something I could not operate. Their sales people asked a lot of questions and made suggestions for equipment that really suited my needs. They could have recommended top of the line items but understood that is not what I needed. They walked me through the use of my new equipment and eliminated the fear factor. I just have to say I am 100% satisfied with, the price and the service. Highly recommended for any budget. I recently bought a Wrangler Unlimited 4 door, to my dismay the car did not come with power locks (or windows). While I thought I would be able to deal with it, after a 10 degree day of my kids yelling at me to unlock the door I figured I needed a solution. My first call was to RKST, who not only were confident they could do it, but quoted me a price that remained the same throughout the process. I also added a remote car starter, which was also priced out well in advance and remained the price to the end. My only complaint (and its not really a complaint) is that the job took much longer than quoted resulting in me sitting around for a couple of hours after they closed waiting. I say this is not really a complaint because they were perfectionists and wanted it to be right before I drove away, all three employees stayed until the job was done, even though it was only the installer who was working on the project. These guys are so friendly, professional and honest I wish every business I dealt with was this great. Some of my other not so friendly reviews could learn from these guys! read more
