So I'm visiting from out of town to see a few old friends. Unfortunately for me, this past Saturday…read moremorning I ran over a pothole on the Long Island Expressway and it blew out my back tire on my Sienna. I called a total of three Toyota dealerships and I eventually landed on this one since they had both my rim and my tire in stock. Also, they do same-day service on tow-ins. One other dealership I called said they had to wait 24-48 hours with no exceptions in order to work on a car that was towed in, which I thought it was weird. I came to the service area and I was so fortunate to have Brenda help me from the service center. I explained to her my situation, visiting out of town to go to a gathering later today so she made sure I was prioritized despite my stressful situation. I wasn't able to stay another night and all dealerships close on Sundays so I had to get it fixed asap to go to my gathering an hour away from here and then drive home with my family of four the following morning. Thankfully it wasn't that busy that day and I got there around 11am and was able to get my tire fixed and out the door by 1pm. I was so elated and profusely thanked Brenda for all her efforts in getting my car fixed asap so I could not miss my gathering I was already late for and to get home safely the following morning. Thank you so much Sunrise Toyota and Brenda for not ruining my weekend trip to NY! I know it's probably unlikely to come back to this specific location, but would highly recommend this spot for any of the locals who live nearby.

My sales rep Jeff Barkan, who I have bought 7 cars from over the years, hooked me up with Chris Aleman as my service advisor. The service department provided me with a loaner car, a 2024 Forrester that was very nice. The Service Advisor Chris could not have been nicer or more professional and was very accommodating and took terrific care of me and my service needs. As stated above I have purchased 7 Subaru vehicles from Competition and will be purchasing an 8th in the near future. Thank You Joe Zogbi

Should be an amazing experience, except for the fact that the sales manager forgot to inform the staff and the car was not ready for me to pick up. A year later, the service department took in my vehicle and quoted me 90 minutes for the service. They found that I needed an alignment, which is perfectly acceptable, but they decided that would take 3 more hours (??), they did not tell me this and they did not offer to get me a loaner for the inconvenience being that I would have to sit at a dealership all day. When I left, the service manager asked if he could do anything to make it up for me. I told him to discount the service, he threw up his arms and walked away. I'll never go to Competition Subaru for anything, ever again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I would suggest thinking long and hard before visiting this dealership.

Since I thought it was the senor which would have been covered under warranty and I need a NYSI , I figured I would kill two birds I made an appointment and brought my car to Chevy of Smithtown. They told me after checking the tire light, they found a nail in the "corner shoulder" of the sidewall of the left rear tire that cold not be plugged and the tire would need replacing at approximately $300 in order to pass the NYSI. Since I was a service advisor for a car dealer years ago and know not to buy tires at the dealer, I told them to fail the inspection and I took my car to my tire shop (Traction Plus in Lake Ronkonkoma). They told me if it needed be plugged, they would, but if I need a tire it would be $140. After a few minutes, they said I was ready, my tire was fine, no plug or replacement needed, the nail did not penetrate the tire and they plucked it out. I went to a local shop and had my inspection done. Needless to say, after the unnecessary run around, I will not be taking my car, which I lease from Chevy of Smithtown back there nor will I be leasing my next vehicle there. Moral of the story, if the car dealer tells you need tires for a nail/screw, make them show it to you before letting them sell you a new one.
