So I'm visiting from out of town to see a few old friends. Unfortunately for me, this past Saturday morning I ran over a pothole on the Long Island Expressway and it blew out my back tire on my Sienna. I called a total of three Toyota dealerships and I eventually landed on this one since they had both my rim and my tire in stock. Also, they do same-day service on tow-ins. One other dealership I called said they had to wait 24-48 hours with no exceptions in order to work on a car that was towed in, which I thought it was weird. I came to the service area and I was so fortunate to have Brenda help me from the service center. I explained to her my situation, visiting out of town to go to a gathering later today so she made sure I was prioritized despite my stressful situation. I wasn't able to stay another night and all dealerships close on Sundays so I had to get it fixed asap to go to my gathering an hour away from here and then drive home with my family of four the following morning. Thankfully it wasn't that busy that day and I got there around 11am and was able to get my tire fixed and out the door by 1pm. I was so elated and profusely thanked Brenda for all her efforts in getting my car fixed asap so I could not miss my gathering I was already late for and to get home safely the following morning. Thank you so much Sunrise Toyota and Brenda for not ruining my weekend trip to NY! I know it's probably unlikely to come back to this specific location, but would highly recommend this spot for any of the locals who live nearby. read more

Normally I would give them a 4 or 5. I have purchased 6 or 7 cars over the years with them. Fall of 2024 I had 2184.61 towards a next vehicle purchase/. I had an accident, totaled my car and bought a used certified car from them which I am pleased with. But the salesman should have applied my points to my new purchase. He did not and I did not realize it until the points had expired. I sent a certified letter to Linda Garelli which was received but got no answer. All I want is what they promised me. So far nothing. This situation surprises me so much. They always made good on their deals. My salesman was Will Diaz. He was the one to have made that application of my available points. My brand new 2026 Camry has bugs in the software from day 1, a few based on their own descriptions of how it is supposed to be. The basic car (driving, build quality) is good, but the media system, remote start and electronics are definitely not right. Sunrise sells the car and then can't be bothered to follow up or fix these issues. They made an appointment for me to go there and then the person didn't show. I waited 20 minutes and then left. I have contacted them many times, over weeks now. They ignore emails and always say to "call them." That way there is no paper trail and they can deny things. I escalated to Toyota corporate, who has responded and tries to be helpful, but they say dealers are "independent" and they cannot force them to do things. This dealer is hurting the Toyota brand. They now know the issues yet have not responded in days - and NOTHING has been fixed or even looked at by Sunrise. I'm never buying another Toyota. read more

They might be the fastest Toyota I've been to when it comes to getting service done. They lose a star for never having the shuttle service actually available even though they advertise it on the website. They give a complimentary wash which is nice. read more

Very bad experience with this dealership. I was in town visiting my kids on the week of Jan 19, 2026, I was in the looking to lease a car to take back home I had just moved to SC and was not familiar with any dealerships in my new area. A friend referred me to a guy named Bruce. I called Bruce and explained what I was trying to accomplish and he referred me to this guy named Kevin. So, when I got to the dealership, I asked for him and he says he spoke to this Bruce guy and understood my situation, I explained to Kevin just like I explained to Bruce what I was looking to accomplish and he said he spoke to Bruce and said he knew what to do. After siting wit Kevin for a while I got impression that he was very confused with the process but was not too worried at this point because of the recommendation I was looking for this dealership to lead me in the right direction because I never did something like this before. But between these two guys I received nothing but bad information that ending me to pay an extra close to $3000.00 and when I called the dealership on January 26, 2026, to let them know that I did not have the proper paperwork to register the car they said they would get back to me. So, this guy Bruce calls me back and said that he runs the place and that the deal should have never been made like this said he would make it up to me and would call me that Friday January 30, 2026. So, it's now April 28, 2026, no call it took me over 2 months to register this car in SC, so in my opinion, this guy does not run anything, or he is a guy who doesn't keep his word. 2022 SALES UPDATE That sweet Eric Chandler did his magic on me again! But this time it went even smoother. Is that even possible?! Smooth & Car buying.... Is that an oxymoron?! Hahahaha. Even though I was planning on buying out my lease. I liked my car. It fit my lifestyle. It fit me. But that Mr Chandler always has other ideas that he insists I try first. And like before I'm so glad I did. So one short test drive later I find myself leasing a new vehicle. Wait! What?! Isn't there a shortage? After all of the years of getting my oil changed at sunrise Toyota I've never questioned them and have always trusted their team but today they called me to tell me all 4 tires on my truck needed to be replaced and that they were basically bald. This is a surprise to me because they told me I should look into tires 2 oil changes ago but then on my last oil change i specifically asked them to check my tires because i had been previously told they needed to be changed and the last oil change the mechanic said they were all good and didn't need replacement. So today when they told me all 4 needed replacement I was shocked. The service rep told me basically that the mechanic who worked on my truck the last oil change is new and didn't measure the treads the correct way (which should be a basic task i would assume as a mechanic) and that they were all bald now. Besides my safety being put at risk when telling me that the tires were fine they also tried to say well nothing we can do and didn't even offer a deal after making a mistake. I will no longer bring my truck to sunrise toyota knowing i can't trust that the mechanics know how to do things like checking tire treads the correct way. read more

Just had a bad experience with them today. Went there to try to purchase two vehicles- made me wait around for 10 to 15 minutes before someone came over. I gave them the online paper with the price and the guy's manager jacked up the price by 3000 and then reduce it by 1000 to 2000 expecting you to paid over MSRP. I get the fact that inventory is very low but before I left , I was offered the original MSRP- it was a total turn off! We eventually purchased both vehicles at Riverhead Toyota today! For a car dealer, each of my experiences here have actually been pleasant. I purchased my RAV4 here and have been coming to the service location ever since. I hate looking for a new car, like most people I'm sure. After going through many disappointments and lies at other dealers I finally stumbled upon Sunrise Toyota and was in and out in under 2 hours start to finish. It was such a nice change of pace from every other spot I visited. I even recommended my younger brother here for his first car and he had the same no-nonsense encounter. I religiously go to get my oil changed and inspections completed here with rarely ever an issue. This is still a dealer service location though so they've tried to make a couple small problems seem a little bigger but asking questions and using common sense saves me a few bucks. Just went in for my first servicing and wow am I dissapointed. I was there for over an hour and a half to have my tires rotated, fluids checked and to look at a tire that has a small leak (which I chose not to replace). I got there for my appointment at the scheduled time of 1:30 and didn't get my car back until 3:15. I've had the same work plus an oil change done to my car at a different mechanic and it took less time. When I asked the attendant if this was normal wait time or if they got busy he said they got a little busy in the afternoon. I was surprised to learn that everyone that came in had made an appointment so it seemed as though they over scheduled. I have another free servicing so I will try again and see if it's the same, but for now it doesn't seem worth it to get service done here. read more

Don't buy tires or batteries here. I have a Toyota Sienna. Buy 3 tires get 1 free. I wonder why? Their Dunlop tires prematurely wore out. Even with their free tire rotation they still wore out unevenly and took no responsibility whatsoever. I also bought a brand new Toyota battery that lasted barely 3 years.
