Dirty, trash everywhere inside and bathroom! Looks like trash hasn't been emptied in days and this was a Sunday morning

Absolutely... positively..... GROSS!!!! The showers literally make you want to vomit. There are stains everywhere.

Road Ranger is conveniently located just off of I-57 north of Champaign at the Market Street exit. The location features pumps for both cars and trucks, and also has a McDonalds outlet attached to the convenience store. It isn't the most beautiful location but it is easy to get to and easy to use. The store is pretty well-stocked. I'm not a big fan of McDonalds but people who are should be happy. Overall this is a decent place to refuel. read more

Womens bathroon was disgusting. Shit everywhere! Told the employee on duty and he said he knew. Better to put an out of order sign on door. All garbage cans were full, inside and out overflowing. read more

It's kind of redundant to say a gas station sucks. That's pretty much the norm these days. But this one goes the extra mile to make their customers extra pissed. Tonight, pay at the pump wasn't working, and the brainless counter employee who was a few teeth short couldn't figure out how to charge my card and make pump work. When I demanded a refund of the $15 I'd paid, she handed me someone else's receipt for a $35 purchase, as if I wouldn't notice what she'd done. At that point, the managerette appeared. (Where the f was she, there was a huge line and she had her worst employee on the point?) Managerette said I'd automatically receive a refund. I'm 99% certain I'll have to file a credit card dispute and waste time on this. There are a lot of bad gas stations out there. This is one of the worst. read more

Friendly staff with new trainees, uncleaned dirty floors in showers... bathroom attendant is lacking a mop and cleaning supplies. Do go bare foot eww. Nice setup in store. read more

The parking lot is well lit, there is one space that has caution cones around it. The parking lot is also very clean. Customer service is good. Prices are competitive. It is conveniently located. I would recommend. read more

The bathrooms were clean but the customer service was non existent and the station/store itself had a strange smell.

So I was leery of hopping off the highway and being in the middle of no where, and well, let me be completely honest, everything 30 minutes out of the City is the middle of no where.Anyhow, Road Ranger is a brand name and it is in Champaign, which is a University town, so we stopped. The Road Ranger is literally two minutes off I-57. The gas station sells fuel, of course, and all kinds of snacks, books, lottery tickets and beverages. Ladies room is clean and functional, but not posh. But it is free. read more

There is a McDonalds at this location: Nicest group of people there this morning, especially the cashier. She was pleasant, accommodating and was patient with my requests. She even smiled. The Road Ranger Pilot was short handed,noted by one of their staff. One fellow was shoveling off the ice from the sidewalk this morning though. Unfortunately they have Dunkin Donuts Coffee, had to buy McDonalds',at least theirs is a sure bet. The restrooms were less than presentable, especially the men's. They had just been cleaned, but you could not tell that anyone had been in there. The new fuel island okay, but not enough room to pull up, especially in this weather. read more

Such a dirty store, employees are rude and extremely slow. Only stop here if u absolutely have to. They are supposed to be 24 hours but at random times at night. Get a different district manager asap because it could be turned around. Wont be stopping here ever again read more

Nothing great, nothing bad. Gas is cheaper in Champaign than in the Chicago area so we like to fill up before we leave town. It gets the job done but if it wasn't cheaper, I probably wouldn't bother. However, it's always pretty crowded here after the football games so it must be doing something right. Need gas, it will suit your needs. Oh and they have cold bottles of water. read more

Had to get a lighter last night. Did you know you get carded for lighters these days? (it was stolen by the barback at Jupiter's downtown who asked "hey virgil, can I steal your lighter" and then never brought it back to me!!!) I had initially gone in and got cheese and cigarettes and diet dew, as that's what I do, and as i'm fishing around in my bag to find my lighter, I realized it was missing. So, I go back in to get one. I select a lovely orange one. The girl who cashed me out was not the same one as before. Her: can I see your ID? Me: you need to see my ID? Other girl behind the counter: She's never checked you out before. Me: Oh, she's "checked me out" before. Everyone blushes. read more

Yah, I know. It's just a gas station/convenience store. Not something to Yelp about. Except that it is. In the last handful of hours on long road trip, a place that is clean and has yummy coffee concoctions is kind of a big deal. They do. The coffee was just from one of those press the button espresso kinds of machines, but the flavors were really yummy. Since they are sweet, I tend to mix them with some regular coffee, and I like places where the regular coffee is also fresh. Here? It was. Still, none of that would have seemed so Yelp-able, except for what happened before all that. Road trips mean public bathrooms, which few folks think of as enjoyable. I was amazed when I walked in at how *clean* and even *nice smelling* the bathroom was. Even the lighting was just nice. I can't explain. But this is what made me have to Yelp it. Go here, get some gas, yummy coffee, do your thing in a place that's not as public bathroom feeling as you'd expect, and then come back to tell me I was right about this place. read more

Very nice. You need gas...this is a great place to satisfy your car's needs. This station is just shy of the main exits for the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana. So if you are in need of gas...and maybe a Powerball ticket...give this place a try. Just off the Interstate 57. read more

This place is fine when we come in our car(we live in town) but when we are in the truck and it's at night, it's a pain to get through the parking lot! Trucks parked literally anywhere and everywhere they can fit, seriously if there is not a parking spot keep it moving down the road, the Marathon going south always has spots, just a suggestion! Nobody pulls forward at the fuel islands, I get that it's at night and not as busy but come on. When you express complaints to staff they don't give a sh**, which is annoying, most other places will at least intercom announce for people to please pull up. read more

Very rude cashier. I went through the entrance marked professional drivers and waited at the counter. Another driver came in and stood in line behind me. Both times the cashier looked up and did or said nothing. A gas customer goes to the other register at the counter and she goes and waits on them immediately and then tells us you need to come over here if you want helped. Really?? She couldn't of said that kindly before. Won't be stopping here for diesel again read more

This is great location to stop for us on monthly treks to see our grandkids. Its half way. It gets worse every time we stop. Bathrooms are not taken care of. Whole place needs to be pressure washed inside and out. McDonalds could use a good cleaning as well. Staff could be more courteous and act like they care. We need to find a better place to stop! read more

The store was very clean and well stocked. The womens restroom smelled nice as I walled by, but the mens room was nasty.

I'm a truck driver and military veteran and if I could give the entire Road Ranger chain -5 stars, I would do that, but Yelp requires at least one star to post a review. Road Ranger is by far the most unsanitary, dirtiest truck stop chain I've ever stopped at and this Champaign location is no exception. I stopped there recently for fuel and DEF and was also hoping to use the bathroom and park there for the night. Half of the stalls in the bathroom were either out of service or had inoperative fixtures, and the others were either occupied or so incredibly dirty and unsanitary that I decided to simply go to another truck stop up I-65 to stop for the night. Road Ranger recently remodeled the exterior of many of their locations. Here's a business pro tip for the executives at Road Ranger: polishing a turd won't change the fact that you still have a turd - maybe in the future instead of blowing millions on polishing the turd, spend a few hundred thousand on hiring more people who are paid decent wages to maintain your facilities in sanitary condition, especially in the middle of a pandemic. But if social media shame doesn't move you, perhaps inspections from health authorities will. Many truck drivers are military veterans, many are women, who leave their homes to live in a truck for days or even weeks at a time to move the goods America needs to function from day to day. So, if you are in the business of truck stops, have the decency to at least offer us a clean bathroom when we blow hundreds of dollars on fuel at your locations. read more

I go here a couple times a week for gas since I live near the gas station and the staff is NEVER friendly nor the staff in the McDonald's that's connected to it if I didn't have to go here I wouldn't... It's normally really dirty in there too.. read more

Unfriendly, terrible customer service. Experienced a hazardous vehicle situation and was stranded at the station for several hours. The employees called to have our vehicle towed (even though we informed them that a tow company was on the way) at our expense. They even left a large gasoline spill near the pump for hours (very dangerous for other drivers arriving at the station to purchase fuel) without attempting to place any substance on the ground to absorb it. By the way, don't eat the "fresh" donuts! An employee was informed that a fly was in the donut case sitting on one of the donuts. The employee opened the case and let the fly out, then said that she never eats them because she sees the people from the delivery truck who bring them in and they never wear gloves. Meanwhile, she left the fly-infested donut in the case! Eww!!! I really hope the owner and company CEO read this review and make the appropriate changes to their operations. read more
