I have been going here for at least 10 years. Getting shoes that match how you walk with custom molded insole is a game changer. No more going to a chiropractor for adjustments. The VIP membership is worth it if you and other family members are buying at least a pair of shoes each year. The custom molded insoles go in my work boots too. Plantar Fasciitis, if you've have it you know the extreme pain and immobility that it causes. I had seen a foot doctor a few times and gone through ASTEM therapy prior that gave ZERO relief. My wife finally talked me in to going to Road Runner December 2019 and I was sceptical and didn't want something to "mask" the problem. I wanted to fix it. After the analysis I bought shoes and ended up going back weeks later for the inserts. I am happy to say that the pain went away within weeks and after a few months I was able to walk barefoot again. I can now wear flipflops, boots, mowing shoes, walk around barefoot with NO PAIN!!!! It has been almost 2 years and I still use the inserts in my tennis shoes. We came here this weekend looking for two specific brands which aren't carried in many stores in Ohio. Vibram and Newton running shoes. Although, REI also has Vibrams, but we didn't want to stop by two places. The store is located in an industrial area, so you're not really sure if you're going to the right place. Don't worry you are. The address is correct. Laura helped us during our time here and she was pretty knowledgeable about the shoes. She says she uses Newton's herself. I'm a fan of Road Runner Sports, and I would come back. *****I wouldn't recommend buying something from the store and having it shipped to your house if it's on back order. The last time we did that, it took three months to get our shoe. They kept saying the shoe was on backorder. Then they blamed FedEx saying they shipped the shoe to the wrong address. Then they said FedEx couldn't deliver it to that address. And finally they shipped it to the right address which was the same it has always been since the beginning of the transaction. I also saw another reviewer also saying they had problems with ordering a shoe for shipping.********** Also, when you go here, be prepared to share your time here with other customers. This is my first time in this store on the 8/2/23 to grab a pair of cross trainers. I was assisted by a young lady named Gulia who did my first fitting and it was amazing. At one point I was extremely uncomfortable with the conversation that took place where she was being very flirtatious asking vulgar questions that were very inappropriate and making sexual comments. I went ahead and laughed it off but this was the last thing I expected to encounter at a place like this. I ended up not buying anything. Have been coming here for the last several years. Their 90 day return policy for VIP members is great as are their bi-annual sales. They are pretty good about testing your feet before recommending shoes. They also do a custom insole for you, which everyone in my family has found to be useful. Most of the staff are also quite knowledgeable and helpful with questions. The one downside is that wait times can be quite long on weekends, but usually it's not too bad. read more

Costly membership. In 2017 we bought 3 pairs of shoes shoes and were sold on what we were told was a one time membership fee. This was not the case. Corporate said it was never a one time fee. That sales person made their quota!!! They send a ton of product emails so I deleted the apparent yearly notice of the fee. I paid $165 over the past 3 years and never set foot in the store since they never have my size in the shoe I like, and they do carry it. Sad inventory if not a popular size. Retail incentives creates shady sales in every arena. Do the math and be realistic about how often you will, or if you can, truly buy shoes vs the $45-$60 yearly fee. read more

One of several good running stores we have in Columbus. This one is a little out of the way, you can see it from I-270, but its easiest to get it off of Sancus road from either Huntley, or Crosswoods. Its worth finding. They have a good selection and their mail order catalog warehouse is in the back and you can pick up orders at the store. One think I like best about them is their "once worn" policy. If you dont like a shoe you can return it and exchange it at no charge. I haven't done this, but I have picked up some of the once worn shoes at a great discount. Yes, used shoes :) I pay almost $200 for my favorite running shoe, but I'll pick up a nice pair of another shoe cheap here for bad weather, or mowing the lawn. The only negative to me is there "Frequent buyer membership club" I think its called the VIP club. I paid extra for it my first time there and then was unable to use it online because their website didn't recognize me, but I've not had a problem using it at the store. read more

I went in on Memorial Day to get a new pair of shoes. They were quite busy and most of the staff was fitting 2-3 customers with new shoes at the same time. Honestly, I thought I was going to be there forever and I fully expected a bad experience. Instead, I was simply amazed at my experience. The sales staff was incredible, bouncing back and forth between clients with a smile and making everyone feel welcomed. In addition, I had some concerns if my shoes were the right type for me (I've recently lost a lot of weight and wasn't sure if what had been working was still the best for my feet). I ended up asking a bunch of seemingly crazy questions, but the woman helping me was incredibly pleasant and nice about it. She went through the whole fitting process with me, as if I had never bought a pair of running shoes before - making sure that the size and width were right for me, videotaping my stride, and checking a half dozen other things. While I know that you can't expect this great of service every time and from every sales person, I can honestly say that Road Runner Sports in Worthington hit it out of the park this time. They are just an all around great group of people and I look forward to buying a lot of stuff from them in the future!! read more

Their 90 day return policy is great for a runner that likes to experiment with new shoes and the varying sizes of shoes that different brands produce. I was ecstatic to find a brick and mortar store on one of my business trips. I went in with the idea to just check it out. I was immediately greeted and put in queue for a shoe fit review. I have been running for 31 years...(eek) and this was my first computerized review of my arches and videoed running form. Once my information was gathered, an associate took over and brought me shoes for my feet and gait. He was knowledgeable, listened to my idiosyncrasies, and gave good advice. I was really excited to come and see the selection here. When I got to the store Caroline was the Shoe Dog Pro that helped me find a great pair of shoes. Caroline brought out whatever shoes I asked for with no hesitation and even took the time to do my foot analysis to see what shoe would be the best fit for me. I have seen some comments on here with some staff that was not the friendliest, but Caroline was great! I visited the store a few weeks ago because I was getting shin splints on the regular and wanted some advise. Andrew greeted me at the door and I am so happy he did. Wow, what a trip to get here! This place is pretty out of the way, not just because I live in Cleveland but because you really have to take a small journey from the freeway in order to get here. We saw the store on our way to Dublin since it is right by the freeway. However, there is no nearby exit. The store was a little underwhelming. I have been a VIP member for the last 3 years and I love their online site with its vast selection. I wasn't expecting a selection even nearly as extensive as that of their site, but they really didn't have very much in the store. I was looking for a nice rain jacket to get for the upcoming storms, but there wasn't a single one in the store to try on. That's one thing that I like to try on before paying for it. I would hate to end up returning it (and paying return shipping). I had read reviews about other RRS stores and most people said that the employees really attacked them when they walked in; nobody even spoke one word to me while I was there. The Shoe Dog technology is simply amazing. After watching you run on a treadmill and taking detailed measurements/analytics of your foot and gait, you walk away with a custom insole designed to give you an optimally comfortable running experience. Where I take issue with this is in the fact that none of the store employees explain to you upfront that it costs $90 for said Shoe Dog analysis and custom insoles. Naive me just thought it was a value-add to the shopping experience. Either way, I bought the insoles (and don't regret it one bit!) but it would have been nice to get a little more transparency around the pricing. One big plus: their VIP program is just $30 or so for an annual membership and it allows to to return or exchange anything in the store with or without a receipt regardless of how long it's been since your purchase. I purchased one (1) pair of running shoes from a very helpful young man on 6/2017. Two (2) year later... I notice a "VIP membership" charge on my bank account for $39.99 from Roadrunner on 6/2019. After reviewing my bank records, there was another "membership" charge on 6/2018 for $28.99. I called their corporate office in San Diego and they were less than helpful. I explained that I NEVER agree to any membership or purchase that results in an annual fee and I recall asking their salesman "is this a renewable membership with a fee?" And he stated "NO!". This had zero impact on a refund of the theft charge of $28.99, however, they did refund my 2019 theft charge because I caught it the same day. This has resulted in my family or myself never purchasing a single item from Roadrunner. I will get my $28.99 back and more by letting consumers, like those reading this, learn the shady practices and policies that Roadrunner operates by. read more

I used to be a rr customer years ago but quit them as I was turned off at having to pay a membership to get the best price on merchandise. Kinda of like the loyalty club everyone else gives you for free so that they may track your every buying move. I did finally stop in to the store yesterday and found nice selection and the staff to be extremely helpful. Location is not the best but this is a destination type business that is worth the extra effort. Unprofessional, frustrating, amateur and rude. I placed an order for a pair of UltraBoost shoes, entered in all the right payment and shipping information and received multiple confirmations that the order had been received and shipped! The next day I receive an email telling me that the order was cancelled because they had an issue with verification of my credit card. And yet, I checked my credit card account and there was already an authorization charge from Road Runner Sports! I emailed them back immediately asking for more information so that the order would deliver on time (it was a gift). They don't get back to me after a few days so I call them up and it turns out, not only is the item now SOLD OUT but the agent I spoke with (Nicole) and supervisor (Mike) were both incredibly rude, unhelpful and told me it was "company policy" to add this extra level of verification of address for new customers. So moral of the story, don't bother placing an order with them if it's your first time. They'll waste your time, your product will be sold out, they'll still charge your credit card, and trick you into the VIP membership scam, etc. Horrible experience, would not recommend this to ANYONE and will definitely never purchase from them ever again. If I could give 0 stars I would. My job has me on my feet over 9 hours everyday, walking the equivalent of several miles everyday. I went in because it's nearly in my backyard. I asked for a good shoe for walking & being on your feet most of the day. Was told they only sell performance shoes for runners & that I just needed a 'regular' shoe, not a 'performance' shoe. I love Saucony's & know they have a shoe that's like walking on a cloud. I asked for this shoe & again was told that their shoes are 'really built for runners.' Due to some unfortunate hiking accidents 10 years ago it is very difficult for me to run at all. I will NEVER return. Oh & thanks Amazon, the Saucony's this store had listed for $160 I found for only $84.95 on Amazon. And Amazon didn't shame me for not being able to run. read more

I purchased from them online and have never felt more misled in my life. The "complete satisfaction return" policy that they have doesn't tell you that you will be having return shipping deducted from your credit. That means you will lose $10 if you decide to try a pair of shoes and don't like them. This is listed nowhere that I can find on the order or website as I looked very intensely for conditions. Not only that, but I needed shoes for a race on Saturday and the representative on the phone said that my replacement pair "definitely should make it there by then." After checking in on the order today I found out that it has not yet been processed and has no hope of arriving on Saturday. The rep that I spoke to today explained that it is shipping from the shoe factory which means it always had a processing time of 5-7 business days, meaning that the first representative completely lied to me just to get a sale. If you enjoy being swindled and lied to, then please shop with Roadrunner. This has wasted money, time, and a lot of my energy trying to deal with this company. I have mixed feelings about my star rating for Road Runner. I will confess that I have been a Customer Service Manager for a premium brand company, so I have high expectations. They are not unreasonable, but they are high. I have been an online customer of Road Runner for years, and love my experience with them as an online company. You have to join the VIP program. Their shipping is super fast, returns are easy, online Shoe Dog works fairly well. I am lucky because they have a store 65 miles from me, and a high percentage of the shoes I ordered recently have not worked, so I decided to pay them a visit. I will start with the negative first - I almost walked out. The associate who was bringing me shoes was barely paying attention after I was handed off to her by the associate who fitted me and made my custom insert. They wear a single ear bud, so the manager and whoever else is talking to them occasionally. I understand and have no issue with that, however, she would ask me a question and then look to eavesdrop on a conversation that another customer was having with the manager. I nearly got up and walked out. In retrospect I wish I had at least said something to her. I know she didn't hear one single response to the questions she asked of me. She wasn't even looking at me while I spoke, it was overtly rude. Perhaps it was a customer that she had previously tried to help, but I don't care, if you are waiting on me don't ask me a question then turn your head 120 degrees to listen to a different customer who is being helped by the manager. That said, after the other customer left she was very patient and must have brought me two dozen shoes. She admitted she just started running and was still learning about shoes, but she tried to be helpful. The store is nice, clean, well organized, and everyone is super helpful. They bust their butts to make sure everyone is greeted promptly. I signed the clipboard for the Shoe Dog fitting/analysis which includes a custom insert which you are not obligated to purchase. This is then inserted into all the shoes you try on by the sales associate. I did purchase the insert, and have had several runs with it. I am quite happy with it and do not regret the purchase. With VIP it was $71 and will last 1200 to 1500 miles or two to three pairs of running shoes, so definitely worth the investment. I may purchase a second insert for my everyday sneakers. There was a certain lack of engagement from the associates during my entire experience that left me a bit cold. I will go back, and I hope to have a more engaged associate for shoe selection and fit. As it was, it was very formulaic with little credit given to the fact that I have been running for 30 years and already buy a shoe a half size larger. They felt I needed a shoe a full size larger my street shoe. I have border-line narrow feet and a full size larger is too wide. They were so determined about this that I felt I was constantly fighting for the size that is comfortable. The entire reason I went to the store in person was because my current road race shoes are too wide which allows my foot to move around in the shoe which causes the bottom of my feet to burn after. Due to my mixed feelings about the sizing and feel of the shoes they presented I left with only the inserts. I decided I need to go back a bit more prepared, so I did some research and now have a list of eight shoes I want to try. Their Shoe Dog is amazing, but there are many metrics that it does not take into account. I used a couple of shoe reviews in running magazines and online to select my shoe candidates for my next trip. read more

Terrible service and really high prices. I walked into the Columbus store today and wanted to look at a particular style cross training shoe. It makes me bitter when I walk in to any type of store and I have to fight to see what I want because the sales staff is so pushy. The guy that met me at the door was a little pushy at first (I think that is how they are training them now), but once I explained I didn't have a lot of time and wanted to look at something I had in mind he was cool and directed me to the shoes. Imagine that, I'm allowed to look at shoes in a shoe store. I was talking to him for not even 5 minutes and the manager, Brian, walks over and starts butting in to our conversation. He immediately points out that the original guy was "the new guy" and that he didn't know what he was talking about. He didn't actually say that, but that's how it seemed. It was funny that because he thought I wanted to buy something he was all over me. But as soon as I said I wasn't liking the shoes I tried on he was gone and that was it. Like he didn't want anything to do with me. I know this next part has nothing to do with Brian. I asked to buy a pair of the socks and they wanted almost twice what they cost online! I mean what the hell? $28.00 for a pair of trail socks, come on! To sum up...
