I love this place. Moe goes out of his way to find the smartest and least expensive solution to the problem, and if the car doesn't need much, he keeps it simple. As one example, years ago my son moved back to San Diego from Virginia and brought his car with him. The car didn't really suit him very well here, so we were looking into selling it. But it wasn't California smog qualified. The smog conversion would have been extremely expensive with off-the-shelf retail parts. Moe took it upon himself to find replacement parts from various junkyards and to cut the cost of the conversion by more than half. This was without my asking him. I would've been willing to just pay for him to do it the easy way but he was trying hard to save me money. Over the years I have gotten to know him to the point that he asks about my family and he remembers all my cars and I consider him a friend. Five stars.... my 2018 honda Accord needed an alignment after new tires were installed on Saturday of the labor day weekend. Called them on the Tuesday after Labor day and explained that my wife was undergoing medical treatment a short ways away and could they take a look at it on a "wait" basis... Mor said even though he was busy that he'd fit me in and to bring it over.... on arrival I was impressed by his clean shop and new modern equipment... not just the alignment rig but the other items he had. I just had my rear brakes done and while I was there he gave a free jump for a dead battery even when the lady offered to pay. Excellent services! Would recommend this place if you want your car fix or oil change. The owner Moe is an understanding person and Jay was very helpful in figuring out things. Upfront with the price and everything. They found out what the problem was, which was the transmission(my instinct never lies) and we all know that it can get pretty expensive. Thank god, I got the warranty to cover it. I'm glad they got it done quick. Found a good used tranmission and got the job done within 2 days. Now my car is running smoothly without that loud whistling noise when you accelerate. I like keeping my car on time for maintenance because your car has a life too. Came in for an alignment on my truck. I called in for appointment and was given the one I requested. Call ahead of time and set one up. I decided to come in an hour early from my original appointment. Knowing I was coming in early I didn't mind waiting for the other vehicles ahead of me. But I was able to get my truck aligned 30 minutes before my appointment. Moe serviced my truck and was professional. The gentlemen at the front desk was also professional and reminded me that they also do other service to vehicles. I will definitely be bringing my other cars for smog service. I came here because its walking distance from my job. That way I could drop it off and then walk to work and walk back to get it when its done. I came for an alignment. Dropped car off at about 8:30 for a 9am appt and was called at 10:48am. Totally reasonable/expected timing as I know I am not the only car there. Apparently the car needs something else done he was saying and honestly- I do not speak car and his accent made it more difficult to understand what needs done. I am hearing him say Rackenphobia or phobia but nothing comes up in google so I am pretty sure I just do not understand him and that word does not exist. Oh well. But he's telling me its eight hundred and something. I said I'd just come get the car and that's too much money. He said okay. When I got there this morning he was so super nice to me but when I got there to pick car up, there was for sure a different attitude. Probably because I am not spending money there. I noticed he crumbled up invoice and threw in trash so asked him if alignment got done since I had my debit card ready to give him but I guess it did not get done. He is saying it doesn't need it and needs the other thing and if I want it done then I need to pay $1,000. Honestly it was kinda rude how he said that. I was told by another place I need an alignment and now by him I do not so I am super confused. I suppose I need to find a different company now for a 3rd opinion. I took my 2008 mazda 6 cuz my AC wasn't working. They told me my compressor wasn't working and that I need to get it fix because my car was in very bad condition. And to get it fix they we're gonna charge me $1100. That's BS. I took it to a friend that knows about cars and he told me that it wasn't the compressor. Very rude service, and this stems from a particular employee named Jorbezee, ( I believe that is how it is spelt ), he curses customers, and management seems to be okay with it. These guys here are not honest, and I can see that just as an onlooker. Expect to be cheated in some way. I would think twice about opening your wallet. I was given wrong info and was devastated at the cost of repairs for my vehicle. These guys are great! They have fixed a few of our cars and they always do a top notch. Moe is a great manager and he's pretty quick to the point because they are a busy shop. He's upfront about what he suspects and will quote a pretty good price on top of a quick quality turnaround. MJ F nails it with Moe telling you how much time you have left on something before it really needs to be replaced. Our 2005 Yukon had a failing caliper cylinder in which Moe told us to bring it back in a week or so, so the brake pads would be used and money not wasted. He also did a head gasket replacement on my 300zx. I wish I knew about him when I needed a new tranny for my 2004 Sentra, went across the street to Rapid and ended up paying 2500 for a tranny rebuild where Moe told me he would have gotten a certified used tranny with a 60k mile warranty for 1500. Moe is a great guy, very direct which can off put some but he's honest and will make sure your car is safe. read more
