You line up for the entrance and drive slowly through the light show which features everything from classical holiday designs, characters and figures to pop culture decorations such as super hero's or popular tv characters. The closer you get to Christmas the longer the lines will be. Especially on a Friday or Saturday night. I take my family through here every few years as it's a decent haul from Lousiville. We try and go on an early December weekday night so it is t very crowded and then we go into town and find a place to dine (we always seem to end up at the cool wicked eye woman). Overall This a free, cool and large holiday lights display. Perfect to put anyone or any family in the holiday spirits. This show was great with a large cast of talented performers. I even recognized a few familiar actors from other venues (lead actor has performed this past year at Derby Dinner Playhouse in Clarksville). We were seated in the 6th row center and audio and visuals were all wonderful. We are looking forward to returning here for future events.

When we arrived we discovered that the show had sold out, so we had to climb over more people to get to our seats in the middle of the row, but they were still good seats. Our friends had never before seen the show, it had been decades since Hubby or I had last seen it, and we all enjoyed the experience. The singers wear microphones and are heard over the sound system, a change from when Hubby was in the cast. Some of the dialogue is also different from decades ago, but the changes do not distract from the purpose of featuring of Foster's music. After the show we had an unexpected surprise of an Independence Day weekend fireworks display! The fireworks were beautiful and we enjoyed them too!

Grinchmas is an annual Christmas event that takes place in a church in Shepherdsville Kentucky…read morecalled Journey. The church transforms there building into the grinches lair, whoville and other Christmas holiday favorites. This is a free event that the congregation of this church does a few weekends of the holiday season. You go to there website and reserve a time Frame and date along with your party size for virtual tickets. You line up at your time and walk through this amazing doctorated and creative holiday wonderland. Like the people who designed this have to be engineers or something it is so creative and fun. It's like walking through a movie set. Each section offers something different. It is mainly grinch themed and as you go room to room it legit has the grinch story book. page by page on each wall. At the beginning they have a scavenger hunt game with other hidden Christmas gems. Like for instance one of the air vents had a picture of Bruce Willis character John McClain from die hard in homage to the famed vent scene. Also spread throughout each room was cool meet and greet opportunities with not only the grinch Himself, but buddy the elf, Cindy lou who, the whole whoville villagers, Jack skeleton and finally at the end Santa and his workshop. The characters here were so good at what they did. I'm not sure if they are hired actors or if this congregation has some phenomenal talented members. But everybody played there role brilliantly. The grinch, buddy the elf and the whoville people especially. One of my favorite things that Happened and what will be a for sure long time Christmas memories is my 7 year old daughter who will absolutely only talk to me, her grandpas and one of her uncles when it comes to men walked in the room with buddy the elf. Buddy the elf excitedly "hi little girl". My 7 year old daughter disappears behind my oldest daughters backside. Buddy slowly and cautiously in hilarious will Ferrell like fashion creeps to her looking for a fist bump. My 7 year old is having no part and is backing away and buddy the elf said what you would expect the movie version to say "little girl I just wanna spread holiday cheers for the whole world to share". So we all got a kick out of that and it's just an example of how in character these volunteers were. They really made it seem so legit with the character acting. As mentioned towards the end you hit Santa workshop for a picture with Santa. They also have some decorations and a fake snow blower for kids to play in. They have a stand with complimentary hot chocolates too. Several tables setup for you to sit and relax for a drink before departing. At the end there were some donation jars. There was nobody there forcing or demanding you donate. There was not anyone trying to promote or recruit you to there parish (which I honestly was expecting for a church event). Just a fun, free and creative event for the whole family to enjoy. Overall This was amazing. Me and the family may have a new favorite local holiday tradition. The folks here put on an amazing, fun and memorable event. I'll tell everyone I know To try and visit grinchmas next holiday season. Great job to the folks at journey church for doing as buddy elf would say "spreading holiday cheers for the whole world to share".

I have been to this paint and sip location a few times and have always really enjoyed myself in the…read morepast, so I was a bit disappointed in my most recent visit. We always have gone with a private booked group and the past couple of times we were back in the smaller private room. This occasion we had about 26 ppl so we had booked the larger rooms. We arrived 20mins before our 6pm scheduled start only to find that they gad double booked for the evening. They wanted to put the 26 of us back in the smaller room when the other group of about 18 wasn't scheduled until 7ish. They obviously weren't expecting us and had to scramble to set up our colors ect. Our booking had been on the books and prepaid several months ahead. I will say that the 2 employees working did work to get us set up but this caused a delay in our start time...which comes in later. As we lined up for payment/drinks etc we were then informed that they no longer had wine. They had single bottle coolers and bud light. That was disappointing since when we'd been here in the past you could purchase by the glass or bottle and we usually by several bottles. As the 2nd group arrived the 2nd employee took them to the back leaving us with only our instructor, which meant any time someone needed a drink ahe had to go handle that which lead to several stops in the instructional process, which was already spotty in my opinion. I personally didn't feel the instructor we had was very personable. In the past we've enjoyed great interaction and encouragement. I could hardly hear anything she was saying (other paint and sips I've gone to wear a headset mic). The only time she seemed interested in having us hear her is when she was trying to sell us some pre-painted items in the shop. Most places will mention that items can ve bought but I really felt like it was being pushed hard as there was more than 1 time she brought something to the front of the room and discussed it's availability for purchase. As we wrapped up and as the 2nd group was finishing thier 1hr class, we were instructed to 'brushes down' so she could get our group photo. I felt like we were being pushed out the door. And while I get that they want to close and go home, it was thier error that delayed our start time by about half an hour. I am hoping that this experience isn't the norm for this location, the past 2 visits were very enjoyable. However if this place isn't going to be serving wine we certainly will be looking for a new location for our regular GNO.

My family and I got to visit the Hillview Festival of lights that's located on Hillview Boulevard…read morein Hillview Kentucky. We attended about 8:30 PM on a Tuesday evening for Christmas. The display was very lit up and it's a interactive walk-through display so you can move about to walk through the decorations and things. My family and I Enjoyed ourselves walking up and down, looking at all the different characters and decorations and things that was provided. We love little community events like this for Christmas and holidays decorations so it was very nice to see. We had a wonderful time and we will make this a yearly destination for us
