This is NOT the Hilton. It is a diner. Expect it to be. We stop here everytime we go thru which is about three times a year. Have always had good service and you can depend on the food to be tasty. And the prices are right. Hubby and I just had lunch there, one a turkey sandwich and one a taco salad with grilled chicken. Enjoyed. Back on the road. read more

Stopped in on the recommendation of a neighbor that loves the place. I had the country fried steak and was not impressed. The corn was chewy, the mashed potatoes were gooey. Didn't seem like they actually prepared their own food. It all tasted canned and processed. Had a nice little cup of canned apple pie filling on the side with a dinner roll from a bag. Didn't stick around for the free desert. Two stars for good service. read more

Had the Ortega burger it was very good, my wife had the cornbeef hash and she really enjoyed it as well, we will be stopping again.

Truck stop location on hwy 395. Tables were clean and most importantly the highchair. The server lady wasn't very friendly but wasn't unfriendly. She was meh. The bathroom definitely needs more attention, toilet paper on the floor, toilets not flushed or wouldn't. For what it is, the food was descent. read more

Great service food was served really fast burger was great huge bin and party basic fired but tasted good. Hot Cocoa was small but still good. The feature at was really clean thebele and floor. It had a country side of the road restaurant feel that you would see in movies. I went at night so it was quiet and slow but device was fast. Proceed we're good. read more

Great food and great people! Gotta stop here for food! The waitress was really nice and we had a roadrunner sandwich and Roger had an oriental chicken salad. The salad was delish!, the sandwich was made with Texas toast and had crunchy produce and deli meat. Food came out fast and the place was clean. I've gotta come back next time I'm running to Vegas! If you're on the 395 and you're deciding between this place and Burger King, choose the Roadhouse. The restaurant was very clean, even the bathrooms. I must admit, I was initially suspicious. But when the food came out and the fruit was fresh, I was convinced my fiancé had made the right choice. Good food. Friendly service. read more

Loved this place! The waitress was so friendly and with the overall atmosphere, it felt like eating at home, without having to cook. My family and I have stopped here every year for every camping and skiing trip for the past twenty-something years. We have never had anything less than awesome service or great food. A few awesome favorites: anything with their chili, the pancakes, the fries, and the sandwiches. We ended up driving home from Mammoth to San Diego after a canceled flight, and this was the perfect halfway stop. My kids say 'It was yummy. The dinner was good and the place was so nice - they even gave us our own back room, and they have gumball machines!' We ordered pancakes, eggs (they serve breakfast all day), a club sandwich, and salad, and they were all wonderful. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We will be back! read more

Cheap, divey, good food, friendly service, open late. I was really happy to find a place that was open late and delighted that the food was good. The decor was kind of ugly and some of the lamps had really harsh compact fluorescent bulbs. But I didn't care because I was on a long drive with the family just passing through and this was one of very few options, other than Burger King. I've been coming here for years. It is one of my favorite breakfast stops! Their country fried steaks are to die for and lets not forget about their homemade empanadas YUM! The waitresses are very polite and its always amazing to see how they get work done on a crazy busy day! good job ladies!!! This is my stop when i am on my way to visit my daughter and grandkids in Ridgecrest. My only complaint here today is that they do have a waitress there i believe the name was Michelle that is not on top of her work and isnt very friendly with the customers. When i think of restaurant workers, i expect presentable ladies, with excellent customer service and being very attentive to her customers wants and needs. When my husband and i walked in, she didn't greet us with a "hi, how are you" more like SEAT YOURSELF! We happened to have sat in her section (this last time we ate here) and was not pleased with our service. She was very unorganized, wasn't very helpful to her coworker who was busy obviously due to the fact that she was busy taking "breaks" so with that meaning her coworker needed to set up her tables along with providing their drink. I give the beautiful tall young lady props who worked well all while being busy. My waitress had our food sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time only for her to finish talking about her personal life (which was TMI & inappropriate) she also didn't have our ticket ready nor along with her other customers. I am not the type to bash on anyone but i do hope management takes this serious because this can greatly affect their business. I am a regular customer but i will say I WILL NOT be eating here unless there is another waitress to wait on myself and husband. This is my third time seeing her and all 3 of those times i would have assumed the waitresses would have addressed it to the manager... but it seems to me it hasn't so i am here in hopes the person who runs this place would see this and pull this woman out of the floor until she has proven she can take charge again and fulfill all the customers wants and needs. read more

This place is exactly what it appears - a diner for travelers. If you want tasty food, probably more than you can eat, then this is for you. We love their hash browns and omelets for breakfast and lots of choices for lunch and dinner. Big sandwiches and burgers. We drag a trailer and they have parking for them on the south side. My 1st Yelp entry - I wish it was on a good note, but it's not. I was passing through & stopped at the Roadhouse for lunch. Cymbee (an older (it's relative), I think Filipino lady) was the only hard worker there - the other servers were lazy and rude. I had to ask for water 3 times (each with a different server) before receiving a glass. Also, I had to get my own menu (even though I was sitting at the counter and passed by servers several times). None of the servers asked me if I was ready to order. Also, a truck driver sat to my right and waited for a while & sighed & grumbled some comment. I handed him my menu. Then he said "all I want to do is order a beer and some food.". Also, after my order was messed up (I received pancakes instead of french toast), I noticed french toast at the kitchen serving counter, and it was passed up by several servers. When Cymbee came by, she noticed me looking at the french toast. Cymbee was the only server to help ... she grab it, and give it to me with a smile. I asked for her name, and I said she was the only hard working person there. The other servers (younger girls) all have attitude problems and are very lazy. (I agree with a previous Yelp review from Brian R (7/6/16)). The food was ok, so I also give the cook kudos, and the young, petite girl at the cash register was polite, too. However, given the bad service I received from the majority of the servers (which seemed to be the same bad service given to the truck driver next to me), I will not stop at your Roadhouse in the future. (There's a Burger King in the same parking lot - maybe it will be better there.) read more

Stopped here today while passing through. I had half a tuna sandwich and a bowl of the soup of the day, which today was bacon potato. Both were real tasty! My wife opted for breakfast - eggs over easy, corned beef hash and hashed Browns. She said everything was perfect. A great roadside restaurant! read more

Had to pull over due to a thunderstorm, nothing for miles, late at night, thought that all we were gonna get was Subway, when we saw this. We can't stand Subway so we decided to give it a chance. The waitress was such a sweet woman, so helpful and patient with our tired A$$es! The food was fast, plentiful and delicious. My husband got the Roadrunner and said it was so good, I got the chef salad, so happy it was all chopped and I didn't have to do any work, couldn't even finish, maybe because I couldn't put down the delicious cheese toast that came with it. Pleasant surroundings, delicious food, great service, what more could you want?! read more
