I can tell they're truly happy to serve you. The ambiance while eating here feels like a blast from the past in the best way possible. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing! I got the pupusa platter and my husband got the soup....both were incredible! It was all very authentic. Definitely recommend :-)

I come here pretty often for work lunch orders, and it never disappoints. First off, the staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which honestly makes a big difference. Everyone at my job loves when we order from here--it's always a hit. The pupusas are so good, and the tacos are just as amazing, especially with the handmade tortillas. The salsas are flavorful! And I have to mention their fresh cucumber chia seed drink is so refreshing and just hits the spot every time. Definitely a place I'd recommend if you're looking for consistently great food. read more

If you're on the 395 this place is worth the detour for great food. Everything is made to order and very fresh. The portions are really big. I got two pupusas and couldn't finish them both. My son got the carne asada fries and they were huge and came with a lot of toppings. Usually he can finish carne asada fries and he wasn't even close to finishing them. My other son got the tacos and the tortillas were so good and fresh. They gave us chips and salsa when we first sat down and a cabbage salad, salsas, and carrots/jalapeños with our meals. Our sons are already asking to go back the next time we drive to Mammoth. To top is off, everyone was very nice and it's really clean. read more

Stopped in while in town and wow what a great place. Mother and daughter team making amazing food and providing great service. The papusas sampler and curtido was delicious and two people can definitely share that generous plate. The curtido was crunchy and not to vinegary. I could eat a bowl of that on its own any day. I was excited to see Atole on the menu. Had to order it. The atole elote was creamy, and hot. We received an extra one on the house and my boyfriend enjoyed it. Loved the chips and salsa, homemade chips and both the red and green salsas had a nice flavor and weren't spicy. And the Jamaica was perfect! Not too sweet, and had a good hibiscus flavor. read more

We are just traveling across the state and happened to stop here but we enjoyed our food and the employees were super nice - so much so I decided to write a nice recommendation. We just had Tacos but they were quite good. Seemed just a bit different style than our standard California street Tacos. Very very good! The only neg was the building was a bit run down so I was surprised the rest was so great. read more

Just needed to find a quick bite while driving from Las Vegas back to San Luis Obispo. This little El Salvadoran restaurant is quite perfect...out of the way, yes, but so worth a stop...and a repeat visit next time. Authentic family run simple place, with very kind staff (all family, it feels like). First time I've ever had papusas - so great! Plenty of food, and interesting preparation and sauces. read more

Staying with a friend over in Boron and went here after driving back from Vegas. I think the food here is made completely from scratch because my order took a while to come out, but I think it was worth the wait. I had a fried fish with garlic and it was super crispy and didn't become soggy even after sitting on my plate for a good 10-15 minutes. The owner was so friendly and made me feel like I was eating dinner with family. Definitely would recommend to anyone who happens to be in Boron! read more

Passing through heading back to Central Valley California from Arizona was looking for a spot to eat. Looked at the reviews and its right on the top five stars! Food was delicious and fresh. Grilled chicken, steak, beans, rice and homemade corn tortillas very authentic. Highly recommend to try it out!! Service was awesome also! When I first stepped in I was greeted very warmly and could tell this was going to be something special, and it was. The papusa plate was so good! Lots of food for a reasonable price. The torta was also delicious. Wished we lived nearby so I could go back and try other things. The service was fast and excellent too! read more

Great little restaurant and great owners. They start breakfast at 7 and have alot of options. American breakfast, central American , Mexican, and is all done homemade. No cans or boxes used in the Kitchen. Excellent service and Host goes way above and beyond on Making sure you have what you need while there. Not to mention they deliver.
