I was not looking forward to a repair of our 2008 Honda Odyssey van doors, which often had trouble closing. I had a wreck in my F150 back in November 2022. My truck was at Roadrunner for over 3 months. Grady said parts were not available and hard to find due to the pandemic. My complaint was Grady did not go by what the insurance company had authorized for parts. This resulted in a dispute over the new parts Grady ordered and what the insurance company wanted to pay. Grady is unorganized and doesn't keep files and paperwork very well. Grady's business practices are dishonest and should not be trusted. I got my truck back with the wrong parts, leaking oil and some parts that were glued back together. I have never used this body shop before and will tell anyone who reads this post to stay far far away from this place. read more

I am very disappointed with the customer service & the lack of timeliness of service from this place. I had to get the rear spoiler painted for my 2007 Ford Mustang. I live in Pflugerville and was looking for a place on my trusted Yelp. I came across this business, and with its 4 star review, I thought I could trust it. As you can imagine this was quite the hike for me to get to the other part of town, but I wanted to get job done right. I was there on Feb-4'17, Saturday and met with Grady. We worked out a deal and I gave him the part, expecting to hear back from the place early the next week. I waited for them to call Mon-Tue & finally called Wed to hear that the paint job was still not complete. I waited to hear back from them on Thursday as they said they would call, but to no avail. I then called them back on Friday afternoon and they said they had become busy during the week completing other jobs to meet their agreements for some rental car customers, so couldn't fit me in the schedule. Guys, it was a 15-minute job to put the spoiler back on and you can't deny that because that is what it actually took when the work was finally finished. I basically waited all week for them to call me back; they never called me once even to tell me that they were going to be busy and wouldn't be able to finish my job that week. First they promised that they would be able to finish the job within the week, and then they never call back at all. I told them that this is not good customer service, but instead of acknowledging their mistake, they were adamant about not willing to accommodate me for a 15-minute job. I had told them that I was going to be out of town for a few weeks after that week, so it was imperative they get the job done that week itself, but they were unwilling to budge. Having left no choice, I had to leave town for a few weeks. I returned recently and called them back to make an appointment to get the work done on Mar-2. The guys took the car in and got the new spoiler on in 15 mins, as expected. Then I talked to the gentleman at the counter and Grady was also there. I explained this entire sequence of events to them again and somehow they tried to pin it down on the fact that the delay was because I was out of town, but completely forgot their own lack of professionalism of failing to follow-up and basically saying that they had more important clients than my business. As being the face of the business, I expected the owners to step up and find a solution to this situation, but instead I was being told that I got a good deal in the first place so I basically shouldn't complain. You guys need to learn that customer service is not just about getting a good deal, it's about an experience that leaves the customer satisfied. A simple acknowledgement of your mistake can sometimes go a long way rather than trying to spend time & energy on finding excuses on why you feel you didn't do anything wrong. If a customer with a small job is not as important for you, you should tell them that in the first place & set the right expectations. I took my car here for a door ding a couple months back. Guy there says $75. We made an apt the following week. Took car in before they opened. They had it all day. I kept calling and supposedly still working on it. So at around 6pm I called and get a BS story that they would only be able to repair it if the door was removed and price went up to 275+. I was leaving on vacation the following day and said I'd deal w it when I got back. Seemed suspicious so today I took to a painless dent repair place. It was fixed in 15 minutes and looks brand new and total cost was only $50. Seems this place is trying to rip people off and I'd never again waste my time there. Beware of this place. read more

They are consistently honest about the problems they find and are always willing to discuss repair options to meet your budget. I had the misfortune of running into the back of a large bumpered pickup truck who stopped short causing his extended tongue trailer hitch to slice trough my front grill and shred my radiator and A/C evaporator like a knife slices butter . I took my car to others in the area . They wanted an outrageous amount of money to fix the car. It was crazy. My first experiences at Roadrunner were awesome, my door handle broke off and Grady, the owner, was willing to exchange products (I supplied him with Kangen water for a couple of months for the cost of the door handle)which helped me a lot at that time. This is my second experience with this shop. The first time was a smooth and positive experience on my maxima (body and paint). The second experience was the compete opposite, I took my Infiniti to have some damaged repaired to the passenger side of the car (some body, but mainly paint, and the assembly for the window replaced because it was making noise) 1. It took about 3 weeks to complete the repairs 2. When the shop called saying the car was finished there was a list of issues with the work (not being close to OME) - the paint had small bubbles under new paint - parts of car was not repainted which was put in the estimate and cost of repair - the door interior wood trim was loose and weather trim not applied correctly - the windows one touch up and down not working on the right side of car passenger front and back -paint finish spray over on other parts of car leaving milky wax appearance 3. The owner became offended when I listed what was not correct and became very upset and aggressive and told me to leave the shop. Later he stated he would fix the issues. Resolution of issues 1. Two days to fix what was listed kinda of. 2. The things that were fixed correctly - the weather trim in window - the one touch up and down on the window - interior wood trim was correctly applied 3. The things that were covered up - the imperfections in the paint bubbles/dirt under the paint was wet sanded and removed but now there are huge swirl marks all over the right side of the car! Didn't look that bad at first because the weather was overcast. In direct sunlight it is horrific! Also over spray still visible on the car. 4. The owner never apologized for his behavior! In all I will never go back and really don't trust this shop at all. I wouldn't send my worse enemy there. Stay away and go to another shop. read more

My first experience I went to replace the catalytic converter after two other places said I needed it replaced. Initially, I choose this place because my boyfriend had his car worked on and had great success. However, my situation is different. I have 2019 and a part was on back order, I called every week to check the status and same response "it's on back order". I finally gave up calling. 2 months later to the date, I get a call asking if I've forgotten about my car, I say of course not. Grady said well it would be ready to pick up tomorrow but they'd need payment from insurance. I get in the phone start calling. Finally, I decided to file with my insurance because Grady kept pushing my insurance was better then the other parties. Okay, fine. I do it. I had to come up with a $500 deductible. He ask for it upfront, when I wouldn't have had to come up with anything if I filed with the other parties. He told me to call the other parties and request it. NIGHTMARE! I call the other parties insurance and they get me the deductible, I get it in the mail a week later and call to pick up my car. I'm told my car still isn't ready and he'll call when it is. I ask why, and he starts to explain but then puts me on hold and starts talking to someone else. One that's unprofessional, and two why did you call me a week ago stating my car was ready to pick up because now, I'm without a rental and I have no car. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I've received, along with the time it takes to fix a vehicle. Oh, and my insurance did indeed cut them a check for the work done. My Jeep was rear-ended, denting the frame underneath. Because of the age of my Jeep, the insurance company decided it was more cost effective to declare it a total loss rather than pay what they said would cost at least 3,500 to have it fixed. I wasn't ready to give up my Jeep; after all, it was still drivable and the only noticeable effect caused by the dented frame was the scraping noise it made as the frame pushed against the spring when driving over bumps in the road. So, I decided to find a way to get it fixed without costing me an arm and a leg. I took my Jeep to my mechanic, Reliable Automotive in Buda, and they referred me to Roadrunner. Before Roadrunner even looked at my Jeep, they offered to pull the frame for $400-$600 and said it would only take about a day to a day and a half. It turned out that my frame was more dented than Roadrunner had anticipated and in the end, it took them 3 days to straighten both sides (because of the limitations in the laws of physics, you can only heat and cool metal so fast if you want to maintain the metal's integrity). Yet, despite the fact that the labor time took twice as long as they expected, I was still only charged about $540. I was expecting the extra time needed to straighten the frame would up the the cost to at least $800. I'm very happy to have my old Jeep back and in decent condition. The staff at Roadrunner was very friendly and reassuring and they did an awesome job at straightening my frame. My Jeep no longer sounds like the backend is about to fall off every time I drive over a railroad track. I'm a happy and grateful customer. read more

Had several body shop repairs - never had an issue. But on the mechanical side, it was a disaster. Original quote to fix my gas fill problem was $200-$400. Came back at $450. Shortly afterwards discovered they hadn't fix my car. Took it back in. They had car for another 2 weeks and then when I went to pick up my car they tried to charge me an additional $370 to fix the problem I had already paid them $450! They wouldn't let me pick up my car until I paid (I charged it on credit card and am disputing). I will never use this shop again!!!! Buyer beware! read more

My experience: Walking I felt very welcome and didnt feel as if there was a very deceitful man behind the counters. OH BOY HOW I WAS WRONG! He gave is an estimate on the first (Wednesday) which was 3x more than expected he told me my car was totalled and offered to buy it "get it off my hands". I told him no, I wanna fix my car even if it takes a while. He said no problem told me he would need to look for cheaper parts and come back when he calls. The next day I came back ( he didnt call) he never gave me my second estimate instead he took me to the back and showed me my car and told me everything wrong with it as he finally told me he needed more time for the estimate. So I left and was told he would give me a call when he got a cheaper estimate. On Friday I waited and never got a call, the whole weekend went by and. On MONDAY I got a very unfortunate call from the owner! The phone call was him informing me that there had been a robbery at his shop on THURSDAY EVENING, and on Monday morning he had realized my car had been STOLEN. He told me he would need me to bring in my TITLE So he can make a copy of it for "records". I did not bring my title cause you do not give the title to your car to anyone. Once I got to the shop he had told me my car got stolen from the front of the store. Once my father came to the store the owner had already changed the story of where my car got stolen. He also failed to report a robbery until Monday evening and had refused to release any footage from his 14 cameras. Once the police came to check it out and check the owner out the cop pulled me to the side and said " no doubt in my mind this was an inside job."after we got all the reports done I asked the owner when he was going to file the insurance claim he told me he would be doing it that night as well as having the camera guy come down to get the video evidence. I left the shop around 4:30 and called him from my home at 6:30ish. When I called he told me the camera guy was not coming due to a football game on tv and he wasnt expecting him to come at all. Then I asked when he was going to file the insurance and he told me "get off my back " and immediately hung up. The next day I got a call from the police saying my car was returned to the shop. The weird part about that was once I got to the shop after work my car was nicely parked in a spot infront of the shop with more damages them when I brought it in... Once I got the keys from the owner the owner decided to ask me "how did you get it back" as if I stole my own car!!!!! When I asked the shop what they were going to do about it they said nothing and left me with more damages and more money to pay. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN BE SEEMS LIKE A FAMILY MAN BUT HES GREEDY AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! HE IS A SCAMMER AND WILL STEAL YOUR CAR. read more

Grady and his team are wonderful. I got rear-ended, and I wanted a shop that uses certified Honda parts, so I yelped around. I discovered that Howdy Honda sends their body repairs to Roadrunner, and that Grady (the owner) has been dealing with insurance companies for many years, so Roadrunner was my first choice. Downside: I live in central Austin and the shop is located at the end of Manchaca Road. It was completely worth the drive though. Grady took great care of my car, kept me updated on progress, and was available in the evenings after work (for that time I left my cell phone in my car and had to retrieve it). His team detailed my car after they finished the repairs, so it came back to me looking as good as new! if you want to wait 3 1/2 weeks for a fender-bender job estimated at 3 days while the owner tries to get the insurance co. to pay more money than he agreed to fix it for.... if you want to get your car back with no windshield washer tank, different colored front turn signal lights, the hood-release handle and cable laying on the floor, the $250 fan you installed on the a/c hanging by a thread and rubbing a hole in the cooling core, and the abs and traction control warning lights on (because of a speed sensor cable on the opposite side of the car from the repairs) .... if you want to wait another three weeks while the owner, grady foshee, tries to get the insurance co. to pay more money to fix the speed sensor, and then take it to a real mechanic who discovers the speed sensor cable has been disconnected and and stuffed inside the parking light well.... and, finally,.... if you want to make thirty or forty phone calls listening to excuses from the owner while all this happens.... then, by all means go to road runner!! otherwise, save yourself the aggravation! read more

Please, you work very hard for your money, just like I do. Do not waste it at this shop. We are no longer going to take our vehicle to his shop because he has taken us for a lot of money in the past and we decided to just be done with him. To give you an idea of the character and integrity of this shop, last year, my son wrecked my Pilot into a pole backing up and caused front door and front panel damage. We took it to Grady to have fixed, $1,800. When I brought it home, I noticed over spray on the handle. I told Grady, and he said just bring it back and they will buff it. Since it was not a mechanical issue, I did not rush to get back there because it takes up a lot of time and is an inconvenience, so I was waiting until I needed to go back for any other reason. In the mean time, my son had $3,000 to spend on a vehicle. He and my husband called Grady and were told that he just fixed up a car with a new transmission and although it had a lot of miles, it would be a good car for him. They purchased from Grady, even though Grady did not have the title in his name, he facilitated for another person and sold it. We never met the owner. About 2 weeks into having the car, we started having trouble. Took it back to Grady and he told us that we need to have the timing belt changed, $800. Well, Grady did that work as well. When we finally got the car back, my son had it a short time when the oil light came on. He took it to Jiffy Lube and they refused to touch the car and said that he needs to take it back to the shop that worked on it. Back to Grady's, we get a call a few days later so he can let us know that we now need a new engine, costing several thousand dollars. He would not take ANY responsibility for the oil leek, blamed Jiffy Lube. Of course we could not afford to get the engine replaced so in the end the solution was to sell it back to Grady for $1000. At that point, we decided we were done with Roadrunner and were not going back. I decided I would live with the over spray. Besides the over spray, the door is not hung correctly and still catches causing paint to chip off in other places. read more

This was by far the worst experience. I chose this place specifically because of online reviews but I truly regret not checking out other places. I sent my mom to get an estimate because I work, go to school full time and I volunteer on my free time at a center aimed to help abused children. My mom received and estimate and after talking to the insurance company I received a check for that amount and a car rental for the two days which the company had estimated it would take to fix the small dent on my rear passenger door. The two day estimate turned into 8 days without my car. Every time my mom would call they would either keep her on hold for an hour or they would simply treat her rudely and giver her the run around. My mom does not speak so she felt that she was treated this way because any time I called I was answered right away.I confronted the lady who answered the phone and she said she was disconnected or could not hear her so she hung up.I tried to file a complaint and was told that they had no female employees and this was even more upsetting because why lie about who works for your company. After I told them that I myself had talked to lady they said oh okay. After calling almost everyday I was told that the part had not gotten there. A few days later I was told that the estimate had not included the hours it would take to get painted and they were waiting for the insurance to respond. They said they had been waiting on them since Monday but when I called Tuesday they said it was because they hadn't receive the part. Every single time I called the insurance I was helped right away they even called me to check how it was going. They were more than reasonable and paid what the crooks in Road Runner Body paint the extra amount they asked for and extended the car rental to cover me all those days and even an extra day because I work 12-14 hour shifts and could not pick up the car when they had called me to tell me the car was ready. A day after my mom was nice enough to pick up the car the door was not leveled I could not close the door properly. We opened the door and noticed that there was a built of paint that was left there. I was beyond frustrated and angry because the two job took 8 days and they added about 900 to the estimate. Worst of all the job was not even done properly. read more
