Went on a little drive to this place on a Saturday morning. Pleasantly surprised by a little market set up in the parking lot. Bought a cute little horseshoe Christmas tree & snowman. Hubby ordered the Country & I had the Classic Breakfast Burrito. We also ordered some fries & I had a Bloody Mary. I chose to go with the chorizo in my burrito & it didn't disappoint. Ingredients tasted super fresh & it was a very tasty burrito. Side note, it was HUGE! We definitely could've split it but lesson learned for our next visit because there will be another one! The salsa that was made that day by the chef was DELICIOUS. I was so disappointed they didn't sell it in their little store, it was THAT good! "The Country" is a country fried steak breakfast & hubby approved. Only complaint he had was that the potatoes were a little bland so he was happy we ordered the fries as well. They were nice & crispy but soft on the inside with the perfect amount of seasoning. Bloody Mary was just "ehh" but I'll just try something else next time! read more

The prime rib is raw and taste rancid. The bar is mostly local rednecks or bikers who are not even from the area. New River is basically a food desert or you have few choices of where to eat and then when you come here you get served cold raw meat, you get bad service and then the locals talk s*** about you at the end of the bar. Only good thing I'll say about this place is the beers cold. If I could help it I'll never come here again. I never want to sit at this bar eating a $20 bloody red prime rib that tastes like blood while toothless tweakers at the end of the bar tell everyone I'm a douchebag. read more

The fish n chips - yum!! Plenty of tender, flavorful fish! The burgers are a good size - like backyard bbq size and very tasty. There is a lot of room inside and outside on the patio. I've been there twice. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is laid back and very country. It does get packed on Saturday nights with their rodeos! read more

So I have to say, and it's a real shame I have to write this, my last experience here was pretty bad. I do love the bull riding competitions and the open firepits used to keep everyone warm. However, my brother, who was with me this time, was severely jet lagged and needed to sit down for a bit. Security came up to him and told him he had to leave, since he looked tired. My brother came over to me and we were just getting situated when security came up to me and forcefully said he had to leave or they would employ force. Basically, security here is filled with smug douchebags that like pushing their patrons around. Needless to say, I probably won't return unless things change here, management wise. Easy exit off the I-17 No. Good for a quick burger and beer. large venue, bull riding, live wresting, music on some weekends. Food was ok. Pull pork sandwich au jus made the roll and my sweet potato fries soggy. They forgot to put in my friends order so they rushed a burger and fries. Burger was dry, overcooked. Fries were very crisp and well seasoned. Interesting place. Lots of outdoor seating however you have to contend with the seasonal flies. read more

Always wanted to come here Glad I did Friday night has a band All you can eat fish fry , looked good but I wanted the steak Started off with mozzarella sticks. Good crunch and good pull. Served with marinara sauce With dinner two sides I had house salad and it had a lot of cucumbers, onions,cheese, croutons. I ordered the ribeye 12 oz. Only $15 even I had with tator tots which were nice and crispy Our waitress was awesome her name was Grayson. She was good at her job. Very nice and suggested somethings on the menus. I will defiently sit in her section again Sat outside was perfect and heaters are on the ceiling so heat goes all over the patio. If I could leave a minus 5 I would. My family and I had 2 kids in the Bull clinic with Cody Custer. 1st day we had our 2 pups with us around everyone and had no issues whatsoever and Cody was excellent, professional, courteous. One of the things he teaches the young guys. On the next day when the class got under way the owner of the restaurant came over to me with a stick in his hand moving it and talking a little aggressively to me telling me to take pups out.The pups took stance and started barking/growling as for his actions not the pups. Even the lady next to me told him how nice they were. So I moved to the outer perimeter where a gentleman came up to me , gave me a chair and said the pups were of good judgment and the lady came over to to bring a chair for my wife. I guess the rude man didn't like that, came over to me again acting aggressive and waving the stick and told me to leave area completely. These pups are sweet. I won't be back and I hope that any animal lovers do the same. I am 65 years old, retired and well off. I have never been asked in this type of manner or at any other bull riding event here in New River, Wickenburg or any other place in this state or other states. If he had not been moving that stick and talking in the manner he was our family and friends would have ate and enjoyed the bar. Your loss sir read more

Really cool place. Lots of locals on a Friday night. We got exceptional and Friendly service from Grayson. She was on top of her game checking in without being intrusive From some of the looks we got we may have selected a regulars table. Lots of specialty drinks that are very reasonably priced $7-$8. Usually specialty drinks much higher. Good crowd for a Friday at 6:30pm. They are all doing a great job welcoming the weekend. Sat outside great high tops with foot blocks, comfy. Picnic tables too. Band was great, duo tonight. Ordered ribeye it was cooked perfect and did not disappoint. I served with a homemade biscuit and two sides. Of course half is coming home with me. The steak was 12oz and less than $16. What a deal good food at a bargain. Lots of sandwiches and salads on the menu. Table next to us got lots of apps. Tater tots looked awesome, so did the nachos. Great spot for a night out! I came down here with my girlfriends for a night on the town and it did not disappoint!! Security could have done a better job of keeping an eye out for mip but other than that no complaints! there was this one kid tho that got asked to leave them jumped the fence to get back in and that put a bit of a damper on the evening. This place is awesome! I've ventured out here several times. Love the open road house feel where great cocktails and cold beers are served with a smile. The building matches the community and wild west desert setting and the food is exceptional.. Usually I come her for great country music but this time it was for a late breakfast. The bartender, cook, and waitress were extremely accommodating as we missed the breakfast cut off and thank goodness for that.. I tried the Southerner which had two eggs, bacon, amazing taters, and delicious biscuits and gravy. Man did it hit the spot.. Do yourself a favor and hit Roadrunner up for different things.. Bullriding, food, music, brunch, drinks.. Its all great and I will make it a point to dine here more often!! Amazing! read more

I was waiting for my dog at the vet clinic. I stopped in to have lunch and the bartender/server was great. She talked to me, I never waited for anything and she was busy stocking the whole time. Her name was sherry. She is definitely an asset. I had the Cowboy Egg rolls or something like that, they were great. read more

New River has really been hiding a gem out here in the desert. Located right off I17 the Roadrunner sits in a dirt parking lot. Really cool huge sign of of course a roadrunner. When you walk inside you are met with a huge space with a ton of tables where you seat yourself. Menus are already on the table. Our waitress came quickly and took our drink order while we looked over the menu. She was so friendly and really made my son feel welcome which made his day. It was his birthday. It was pretty empty since it was after 1pm, but by every passing moment had more and more people showing up. A lot of locals that seemed to be regulars. The menu had a lot of great options and I decided on the turkey burger. I don't eat the bread and asked if it could be wrapped in lettuce, but was told their lettuce is already shredded. She offered to bring everything out and asked if I'd I'd like it that way to be able to cut it up to mix kinda like a salad. I really liked the idea and it worked out great. I ordered a side of cottage cheese, while my hubby ordered a sandwich and son a chicken strip basket. Everything came out great and was delicious. I also saw they have live music as well as live bull riding on certain nights. It really has a western feel and quite a few cowboys coming in and out. I read quite a few negative reviews about service, but I didn't witness anything like that the entire time there. The opposite actually. I have been here a coupled times, once in the middle of the day when it was not crowded at all, another on a Sunday night when they were doing Karaoke. I never came when it was a special event but have driven by at times where there are cars and motorcycles parked alongside the road writing to get in. So my review is only based on what I have experienced on these occasions. They were pretty good, they always come by with refills and and fairly quick getting the food orders. It's a western style bar and seems to attract bikers. I haven't yet had a bad experience. read more

If i could give 0 stars i would. They say that they are open until 2 am but.. we got here at 10 pm and they were closed. They said that me and my friends can go pee real fast, and they said that's fine, we went to the restroom and a girl let us know that they were doing last call, then a man comes and knocks on the door real loud and says "it's time to leave ladies". very rude and disrespectful, to talk to a women, also in a very loud voice. some of us ladies have ptsd. read more

I'm DONE even giving you a chance EVER again!!! Despite eating at Roadrunner for almost 20 years, I'm DONE!! For starters, on a Saturday, HELLO, a Saturday at NOON, we were the ONLY ones there!! It was a beautiful day, so we purposely chose Roadrunner so we could sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and the beautiful view from their patio. BUT, the music was so LOUD that we just couldn't get past it. I asked them to please turn it down. They "did" supposedly. But, it was just unbearable. So, I asked AGAIN. Supposedly, they turned it down....NOT!!! So, instead of enjoying the beautiful view and the weather, we had to move and sit INSIDE!!! Hello, the stupid employees didn't give a crap. We were the ONLY ones there, so there simply was NO EXCUSE not to turn down the EXCESSIVELY LOUD music!!! NO one would be able to sit at the patio with the music THAT LOUD!! And...they have speakers every few feet so there was no escaping the LOUD music unless we sat in the sun, and the weather was too hot to sit in the direct sun. By the way, the idiots had rap and crap music blasting when this is a biker bar!! NOT a fit for the typical diner at this place!! No wonder there is NO one at this place!!! Only two other couples showed up the ENTIRE time we were there and they too sat inside. They ONCE AGAIN changed the menu and now they no longer have fried fish, unless it if Friday!!! I loved the addition of the fish and ordered it every time. Now it is not an option!! My dad's jalapeno burger was wrapped in a tortilla and it is SUPPOSED to be grilled but it was actually NOT grilled, in fact it was WET!! It looked disgusting. My dad is not one to complain so he ate it and wished he hadn't. It went right through him!! We literally had to stop THREE TIMES off the freeway to get him to a bathroom ASAP!! We were afraid he wasn't going to make it and we were going to have to buy a new truck!! I have never seen my dad's eyes so big and, believe me, when he gets mad, they get big!! So, to whoever now owns this restaurant (it changes ownership often), please let me know when you figure out how to run a business and I might give it a try for old time's sake. Was recommended from a friend who lives in Minnesota! So, we all decided to stop by today for lunch. I love the ambiance here, looks like a pretty cool place to hang out at when they have some events going on. We ordered the cheese burger, Dr Pepper BBQ pulled pork, Kids had their wings. Burger is OK, I think it depends on the person eating it. Has they chard taste which is great but everything else was just bland. Needs more seasoning. With that said, its still a good burger. The pulled pork sandwich I actually liked more. Being Dr Pepper, (I do not like) it gave it a good twist. Wife however did not like it. Kids loved their wings! Waitress seemed to be over whelmed. Reason why the service wasn't all that great. However this is just a dive, with great people. We will come back and try other things. read more

This place is so fun! The food is fine (2 or 3 stars), but the entertainment is unbeatable for so cheap (5 stars). Family-friendly but not kid-centric. The night we were there they had a band as well as bull riding. It was muddy so dress accordingly! You will definitely stand out if you're dressed in anything remotely "fancy." The restaurant is a bit chaotic; we didn't know whether to seat ourselves or order at a window or whatever. It was busy on the Saturday night, so we decided to grab a table from someone who was leaving. The server was helpful. One of our guests ordered a ginger ale...they "make their own" by mixing Pepsi and Sprite. WTF? Just buy some ginger ale. Additionally, the nachos had way too much crap dumped on them. I guess they did the job for a bar, but it would be great if they stepped up their food game. Either way...we'll be back! read more

Sherry was one of the BEST servers we've ever experienced ANYWHERE! She handled the patio area alone, drinks & food, and everything arrived quickly, accurately, and in the appropriate temperature (hot food was hot, drinks were ice cold). The Reuben wasn't the most tender corned beef we've ever had, but the marbled rye was delicious, grilled perfectly, and the onion rings were crisp and not greasy. Just a neat place 20min North of the 101 that I enjoy! They have a great outdoor area with a Bull Riding Arena, and Bull Riding on Saturday nights! Drinks are fairly cheap, and service is very friendly. The only negative thing I can say about last night was all the kids running around everywhere, and some idiot that decided to bring their dog to the event. The dog was barking every time an animal was in the arena. Got to be quite annoying. Just not used to screaming kids all over the place at a bar as well. Stop by for a beer if you're in this neck of the woods, there probably aren't many other places to go in the area. read more

We all love this bar but the food is really bad. We had onion rings that you couldn't eat because of all the grease. Others with us had Philly cheese steak that had dry tasteless meat and dry bread. We had some bad drinks too. Like I said we do love this place and have been going for years but the service and food is not that great anymore. read more

The roadrunner has a great outdoor bar, with lots of off-road vehicle and motorcycle parking. The breakfast are fabulous. They also have rodeos there which I have not been there for. I am not into huge crowds and if you are looking for a party and huge crowd, Saturday is your night, get there early or you park all up and down New River rd. The food is decent, burgers fish and chips and chicken. Lots of sand which choices and prime rib specials. Lots of entertainment. read more

Popped in here the other day, for Sonny's 74th. Great spot to wet your whistle, hang with friends, eat good burgers and all handled by a terrific staff of friendly waitresses. I didn't stick around too long, as I needed to be in Rocky Point before sunset, for dinner with the family. Watch out for all those pesky tumbleweeds and dusty roads.
