Ok this was good. Went there today for lunch after fishing since 5 am. It was kind of interesting we were ordering hamburgers and I asked for Med Rare. The waiter said "don't kill me if cooked medium well" I asked "why is that?" Thinking he was joking- the server went on to explain when it gets so busy it's hard to keep up. I get that but work is not meant to be easy, especially in that atmosphere- if a cook can't cook every meal how it should be cooked then it's time to get another leader in the kitchen. All I could think of was kitchen nightmares, where the crew was at the mercy of the cooks. It's pretty sad that had to be said- the food was ok but it was great the only reason I am giving 4 stars because the server was great, he was very attentive did a great job. Dillons at Lake Pleasant is a unique experience. You have to pay to get into the park and a shuttle takes you to Dillons located on the lake. The shuttle driver was friendly. That said, my experience was a bit hit or miss. The restaurant was not busy for a Thursday dinner, flies were annoying, and overall customer service was consistent and friendly. The onion rings starter was a hit with ranch or anchor chili dip, but the cheese burger was dry and french fries were OK. It was very hot. Overall, it's a decent option for the Lake Pleasant area, but there's definitely room for improvement. Three stars feels about right for this experience. read more

After spending the afternoon at the Pleasant Harbor Water Park with my son's baseball team, we headed over to Dillon's for dinner. We had a group of over 30 people, and they did a great job accommodating everyone. They had three long tables reserved for us in the back near the stage, which worked out perfectly for our team. We had two servers taking care of our large group, and they both did an excellent job. Since all of the families wanted separate checks, we ordered by our players' baseball numbers, which made it much easier for the servers and food runners to keep everything organized. Everyone at our table seemed happy with their meals. My son ordered from the kids' menu, which had plenty of options. My daughter had the Margherita pizza, my husband ordered the pulled pork pizza, and I chose the fish tacos with coleslaw and fries. The tacos plate comes with 3 tacos and 2 sides. They have a bunch of options. Another mom at our table ordered the fish and chips with coleslaw and a baked potato. A Dad at our table had the fried catfish and said it was great. While we waited for food, the kids had fun playing with the giant chess set and the arcade games. There was also a DJ playing country music, which gave the whole place a fun, laid-back vibe. It was the perfect spot to relax after a day at the lake. Very casual! Considering how busy they were and the size of our group, I was impressed with how smooth everything went. Want to start off with a positive. The live music tonight was fantastic! Overall a great atmosphere but terrible service tonight. We sat outside and no one served us not even waters for a good 20 to 25 minutes. When we asked a server for help, she responded in "one second" then proceeded to chitchat with the next table that sat down after we had sat down. After 5 minutes, she walked past us back to the kitchen...we ended up giving them 10 more minutes then just left. We've been before and have never had an issue... dillonsbayou is the place to be this summer whether you're headed out to your boat, taking a sightseeing cruise, or just want to be out of town and on the water. It's good bar food with a view. We shared a few apps: fried mushrooms, onion rings, and wings. It was also a Wednesday happy hour with $5 well drinks. The place is large and spacious with a long bar, stage, and dance floor. Let me preface my review, that my rating of 1 star is for the first impression that the hostess made on my very first visit to this place this past weekend. I believe that the hostess is the face of the company. This Hostess, with the babyblue hoodie and curly hair (no need to go into ethnicity), gave us the worst first impression... We arrived about noon and always wanted to have lunch on the marina. I live in California and my Girlfriend lives there in Arizona. We finally made plans to have lunch at Dillon's. Excitedly, we got up and arrived! It wasn't packed at all no one was waiting except for one sole person standing at the hostess desk and one man sitting waiting. So we figured we'd stand right were it said "Wait to be seated". And, we waited, and we waited, with the hostess and a waitress simply standing there looking at this guy looking at a menu... My girlfriend and I couldn't figure out what they were doing and assumed he ordered ahead or was ordering to go? But neither of them acknowledged us, and assumed the guy sitting down was already helped. Suddenly after a while, the odd guy gives the menu back to the hostess wearing the hoodie. She scribbles something down on the glass top he literally bumps into us pushing us out of the way... The waitress takes him to be seated outside, so I don't know what the hell they were having him standing there as they babysat him for an extended amount of time. The hostess (Almost I'm having a bad day attitude), no apology, no hello, no welcome to Dillon's, no good afternoon, no smile, no inclination of a positive personality simply abruptly asks "How many?" I reply "two!". She then looks at the guy sitting down and asks him, "have you been helped?" (I'm thinking " you seem to be the hostess you don't know?"). He replies, very frustrated, "I was here before the guy that was just standing there and No". She again goes to scribbling down chicken scratch on the glass top, chats with the waitresses and sends him out to be seated... My girlfriend and I are still by the way still standing there.... And yes we stand there now, no one else is around, she then after finishing writing and erasing on the glass top, looks up and asks "How many?". Once I again, i reply with "Two". Our number hasn't changed much like this hostess' attitude. With brief discussions on where to seat us, even though its not full, we get seated. Finally! Her demeanor was horrible and her curt manner with us was unprofessional. It seemed beyond her to be friends, say sorry for the wait, or anything...she might have been having a bad day, but she needs to learn to leave it at home.... We both had salads, which were wonderful! The appetizer pretzel was very delicious! I had one of their Pleasant Lake Drinks from the alcohol menu which was also very good...Honestly, it was just rough to enjoy when the first moments were so negative...for me customer service is very important...there are no second chances... read more

Asher is the biggest reason for this five star review. We've been here before. At times the service was lacking and so was the food. This time it was ALL excellent. Asher is everything a wait staff should be. He has an uncanny sense for asking what you might need. Never intrusive, but always checking to see how we were doing. My husband & I were visiting family in Arizona & we met up with friends to get some bbq. Our friends recommended Dillion's since that's a place that has been on their list of places to try but they haven't gotten a chance to yet. To get to the restaurant, you have to pay $9 at the booth to park in the marina. Once you park near the blue canopy, there's a golf cart shuttle that will take you down to the dock where the restaurant is. It's a pretty cool ambiance when you get to the restaurant & I'm sure it looks really pretty during the day, but since we went there for dinner, it was too dark to see the view. Once we got to the restaurant, we were greeted by the friendly host & brought to a table. It was a Monday night so there were a few parties in there, but it wasn't too busy. The service was quick, friendly & attentive. We got our food pretty quick after ordering. I ordered the pulled pork platter with bbq baked beans & mac & cheese & really enjoyed it. Everything was flavorful & their mild bbq sauce was good. My husband & our friends all enjoyed the food they ordered as well. Disappointed Longtime Customer - Management Needs a Serious Reset As a longtime customer of Dillon's at Lake Pleasant, it's disappointing to see this once-enjoyable spot decline so quickly. I'm giving two stars--and that's mostly due to the great location (we've stored our boat on property for numerous years), the variety of food and drinks, and the live bands, which are usually quite good. Unfortunately, the experience is now being overshadowed by poor customer service, particularly from the new manager, Stacy. A message to ownership: please consider a different role for her; one that doesn't involve interacting with guests. Her lack of a smile, unfriendly demeanor, and zero customer service skills are a disservice to your patrons. A manager should be welcoming, approachable, and (key word) smiling. One major issue was the inconsistent enforcement of a no-dog policy. We've brought our small dogs inside for years, yet on this visit we were told dogs were no longer allowed indoors--despite seeing two dogs already inside: one sitting on a patron's lap at the bar, and another at an interior table. We understand rules can change, but when we simply asked when this started, Stacy snapped back harshly, "I'm the new manager--no dogs since I've been here." No explanation, no courtesy, just an abrasive tone. Thankfully, another team member (whose name we didn't catch) kindly explained that due to recent issues, dogs were no longer allowed inside, but were still welcome on the patio. That's how customer communication should be handled--with empathy and respect. Stacy, however, continued to be abrasive. We had already waited 30 minutes and asked if we could be seated outside since we had the dogs. Stacy barked back, "You have to wait, there's a line!" and added that there were no tables for a party of nine. Yet I could clearly see three unused tables at the end of the patio that could have easily been pushed together. Inside, there were plenty of open tables too, which made the long wait confusing and unnecessary. Her rigid, unaccommodating attitude, combined with her visibly intimidating presence hovering over the hostess stand, set a negative tone not only for customers but seemingly for the staff as well. At one point, after we asked for her name, she sarcastically replied, "Want my number too? Want my number too?" twice. Completely uncalled for. In the end, there are only two options for food and drinks at Lake Pleasant. Unfortunately, Dillon's no longer feels like the welcoming, fun place it once was. We'll be heading to Scorpion Bay from now on. it's a much more enjoyable and guest-friendly experience. This review could have been four or five stars with just a little bit of courtesy, consistency, and a smile. Managers truly do set the tone and in this case, it's driving customers away. read more

3 stars is just average. And that's what you'll get here. No more. And that's ok. You don't come to Dillon's for the food. You come here because you've spent the day in the lake and you're starving and exhausted. Dillon's has what sounds good: burgers, sandwiches, fish platters, and lots of appetizers. The feel is "Louisiana Barbecue." What you get is, well, average at best. The server recommended the pulled pork sandwich as their best item. It was one of the worst I've ever had. Dry as a desert wind and the only thing you can taste is smoke. Barely sweet, and the ratio of meat to bread is way too high. The "ranch potato salad" it came with lacked any salt so the taste was also dull and uninteresting. Tilapia plate was dry and the fish was SMOTHERED in lemon pepper. The broccoli was cooked well. The pretzels were actually pretty good, though the beer cheese was very "beery" so it had an almost sour flavor. But pretty good. The burnt ends were average and edible, though nothing memorable. The service was stellar even though the poor server was left alone to handle the entire cavernous restaurant. Luckily it wasn't too crowded. The place is a bit "sticky" and won't win any modern decor awards but it's decent. They even have some video games to keep the kids occupied. This is microwave food or movie theater food. Just the basics tonfill you up. It's a cool place on the dock on the water at Lake Pleasant. You go for the vibe and not the food. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but I'd order a burger after a hot day on the lake. read more

We are new to the area and we heard about this area. We are used to Lakefront , coming from Missouri and Lake of the Ozark's. It was busy inside and we found a place at the bar. The bartender took our drink order quickly and gave us some menu's. They needed more than 2 bartenders because it took awhile to flag her down again to order food. I ordered the beef over mashed potatoes which was delicious. The reason for the 4 stars is my wife ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and got a chicken sandwich. We did not say anything as it already took 25 minutes to get our food. Overall a good experience, a little loud with the music but I get it. read more

A really nice surprise! I went hiking with some friends at the lake pleasant park and came here after for lunch. I was surprised I had to pay an additional $9 entry fee to enter the marina that takes you to the restaurant though. Dillons is a fun country atmosphere bbq place. They have a dance floor and appear to do line dancing in the evenings. The food was good, service was amazing and it felt like we were somewhere completely different. A unique experience! read more

Dillion's has declined in quality over the years. We have a boat by the Bayou and today we continued to be disappointed in the quality of the food. We had a Carolina pulled pork- pork was stringy and lacked flavor. The chicken fried chicken - white sauce had no seasoning and was very bland. The nachos had lots of chips with very little topping. We know the menu has changed but how can there be no brisket or smoked sausage on it! However, service was wonderful and the views are beautiful. Unfortunately, the only option on the Lake Pleasant side; but, didn't use to be disappointing. read more

All the stars to the staff at Dillon's! Caleb was my hero for making sure I could eat without getting sick..... celiac sux. He was super attentive and made sure my grandkids and I enjoyed our lunch. Then we came back for dinner plus my hubby. Our server was a delight. I cannot find our receipt and I cannot remember her name but she was a cutie patootie blonde with a freckled nose if that helps identify her. She thought our granddaughter looked just like Matilda, and I agree with that completely. The kids had wings and a hotdog, both enjoyed themselves. My husband had the pulled pork (which he has had frequently and enjoyed) tasted like rubber this time, which I hope was a one off. They have a pretty full calendar of events and a lot of live music. We think it's pretty pricey though so fair warning. OH and the ATM charges the highest fee I've ever seen, $6.60 so get your cash before coming here. I find that a ridiculous charge especially considering the cash you're getting is to spend on tips for the staff and in the store or restaurant. We will be back. I've been here countless times before, and besides some slower servers and mediocre food it's good for what it is. The beer is cold. But on 04/18, it was bad. I put our name in for a group of 7. I waited right around the hostess area for 30 minutes, then asked for an update. She advised she had called my name and I didn't answer so they moved on (and was a bit snotty about it). We ended up waiting an hour to be seated, and the service and food after that was not good either. Was there with my friends for a drink, some random person turnt around and accidentally split my drink, told them it was okay but I asked the bartender for another drink because the drink that was given to me wasn't even drank yet, he stumbled anxiously and called his manger... he couldn't even talk to me he seemed that anxious and scared, when the manager showed up I believe his name was Santos, he was short and tan... he turnt me to and basically told me he couldn't give me a drink on the house (even if I didn't spill it) and that I'd have to pay another $15 for another drink. The poor stranger next to me who spilt it kept offering to buy me another drink, so embarrassed and humiliated I left. What a horrible manager, workers are so scared of his micro managing that they couldn't make me another drink without asking him???? He made us all so uncomfortable and was extremely rude to me. Who talks like that to another person? My friends and I have been coming here for years spending a lot of money here and he couldn't let go $15???
