This absolutely AMAZING human right here was so nice and patient and kind. She helped my daughter get comfortable before we headed out to see the forest and kept all the horses in line and overall just made this such a spectacular stop on our journey!!!! You don't meet people like her often but it sure does make my day when we do!!!!! Bullet and Princess were also important all stars.

Such a wonderful guided horseback tour! The staff was so knowledgeable and very helpful to those in our group who were new to riding. Mike our guide was so funny and gave us really cool historical and nature facts along the way. Everyone was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The horses are well taken care of and obviously loved. It was such a great experience and I couldn't recommend this company enough. We will definitely be coming back!

I got to Ride on potato , one of the sweetest horses. The tour was amazing, loved the trail we were on and not to mention the amazing staff! I can't wait to go back and do it again!

The best horses, ranch hands and trails! I will not ride anywhere but here with Nancy Burch's horses! Booking a second ride this week and looking forward to riding again upon my return next summer!

We drove by and saw the sign for FRESH EGGS and we stopped by to buy some eggs. Long story short...we also booked a horseback ride! We had such a good time with our tour with Miss Nancy! We originally booked an afternoon tour but due to the afternoon thunderstorms it was cancelled and she happily rescheduled for a morning tour. Nancy was highly knowledgeable of the area and pointed out lots of points of interest to us while we rode along and enjoyed the beautiful scenery! We loved how the ride was on dirt rather than rocks. We did a horse ride in Red River last year (July 2021) and it was all on rocks (at least the tour we did). Our horses were Sundance, Badger and Rodeo Queen.

Nothing beats the in person experience with the horses like the red carpet Roadrunner Tours rolled out for us. We were lucky enough to schedule a tour with one of the top guides in the bizz, Margaret. Margaret made sure that everyone on our tour felt comfortable on their horse. She makes sure that your stirrups are even and walks you through exactly how to use the reins to navigate your horse. They do give you saddle bags if you need to carry sunscreen (highly recommended during summer trips!) and of course any snacks/water you might need. Pro tip : apply your sunscreen pre ride and I DO NOT RECOMMEND RIDING WITHOUT JEANS. It gets hot and very bumpy (ouch!!) Margaret led us on the most beautiful tour EVER. She's super friendly and knowledgeable about the horses and the history of New Mexico. The horses are all very well trained and I'm excited to bring my niece and nephew to experience a wonderful ride with Margaret!! Thank you so very much for making our experience super stellar!

My wife and I had a great ride with our tour guide Renee while visiting Angel Fire. The horses were well tended to and after my wife's first horse was a little skittish for her they immediately got her a different, more mellow horse. My horse was wonderful and minded well during the entire two-hour ride. We had a lot of fun and will do it again the next time we're in Angel Fire.

I've never ridden a horse, and always been a bit afraid. Today, I rode a horse with Nancy at Roadrunner horse adventures. The entire experience and beauty of the snowbound woods was amazing! I highly recommend this tour, and she was great with the kiddos on our tour as well:) Do yourself a favor and check it out when in the Taos area:) Don't forget to drive the enchanted circle also! Enjoy!

I highly recommend Road Runner Tours by the one and only Miss Nancy Burch! She was very professional and treats everyone like they are family. This was my kids first time to go on a trail ride and they absolutely loved it. Our guide, Tommy G, was exceptional. We did the 1.5 hour trip. That was perfect for my 9 and 7 year old kids. As a former farm raised country kid, but now city slicker, that was just the right length of time for me too. Saddle up with the family and make some memories! You will not regret it!

These tours are a whole lot of fun if you're a more experienced rider. I love horseback rides and always try to go when I can, and I 100% was not disappointed by Nancy and her crew. Nancy and team are about as country as they come, and they all take pride in their horses. There's a wide variety of them, too, so you don't have to worry about riding a horse that is too advanced for you if you're a beginner. Nancy knows exactly which horse you need. I rode a bay horse named Sandy, and she was very easy to ride with, very obedient to commands like turning, trotting, etc. I know my picture isn't with a bay horse, but my mom insisted I take a picture on a horse so a draft horse makes a more interesting picture (I didn't take any pictures on the trip because I was too busy having fun!). What I enjoyed most about my trip was that even though I was only a single rider, Nancy got her old country friends to join us so I wouldn't be alone. On top of that, the riding wasn't very strict! You don't have to ride in a straight line, stay on the path, or worry about keeping your horse at a walk. If you want to trot along, you trot! That was what I loved most, because it really feels like you're free on the horse. My only complaints are they ask for a tip up-front before you even see your horse and during my ride there wasn't much conversation between me and the other riders. They already knew each other and I felt a little left out.

The first part of this review is going to be about the accomedations: First- I will admit that I am not camper. We did not camp- we stayed in a cottage (Pine 3) which was a queen sized bed. The room fit the bed. I'll give it that. The mattress was so smooshy that I thought I was going to slide between the mattress and the headboard. You get three pillows. Two standard and one queen. You also get about 13" of clearance between the corner of the bed frame and a table. My knees hit that black metal bed corner every time. You also get a lot of bugs because none of the screens seem to really fit the windows. The bathroom was spacious and gave you about 17 options as to where to hang your towels which is good as there are no closets. They are upfront about the rooms. There are no phones or TVs or coffee makers (we brought instant coffee that I made with hot tap water and I do not recommend doing that. Something really screwed up my intestines and I suspect it was drinking the tap water) (there is coffee in the dining hall but it doesn't open until 7am -or rather you can generally sneak in there around 7 but breakfast isn't until 7:30am). I have AT&T and my husband has T-Mobile. I had connectivity for the most part- not a strong signal but enough to get through. We ate at the dining hall during our stay. The first night did not set a great tone- the salmon looked like it had been baking for 3 weeks. Initially i thought that was maybe what my stomach was upset about but I am pretty sure it was the tap water. One day there was a salad bar with no greens. Just shredded cheese and cherry tomatoes. And another time there was no iced tea. We also were looking forward to using the pool but nope. Apparently they had no lifeguard so no one was allowed to use the pool which was a huge bummer because we wasted the space to pack for pool use. Overall I would stay somewhere else (there was a cute looking place nearby called the Abiquiu inn) and paying $10 to visit the ranch which is absolutely stunning views and trails. But for the cost of our stay it felt....not worth it.

The trolley passed us a dozen times during our stay in Trinidad, and the drivers would ding the bell when they passed him. By the time we walked onto the trolley, he was about to burst. Our tour guide was Shelly, and she grew up in Trinidad and adds some local humor and flair to the guided tour. She's awesome. There is one section where you get off the trolley and walk and that lasts about 10 minutes, otherwise, you are seated the entire time. The trolley is air conditioned, so the windows are closed. Some people missed out which having an on line presence could have prevented. Second we were told they picked up at the Lorreto Chapel, they don't so we had to dash over several streets to catch the tour. They only take cash, having a web site could eliminate that.
