Coffee shop Reminiscents & aromas of freshly brewed coffee abound around The Lodge offering 6 delicious specialty lattes or their simplistic coffee, espresso, & tea selections also offering hot chocolate. Seeking a light lunch or snack? Pair your drink with pastry selections, charcuterie boards, paninis or sandwich selections offered. Enjoy it Kicking back roasting away your day in this cozy haven lounging outside their beach deck or indoor lodge setting delighting in scenic picturesque beachfront views while indulging savory flavors complementing this truly soothing experience. Escaping life's everyday hustle & bustles. Let's now dive into a savoy flavorful world of deliciousness. Upon arrival their interior exterior decors & motifs caught my eye having reminiscents featuring beachy vibes or rustic fishing lodge which would make game fisherman or snowbird feel at home. Visitors are welcomed by their hospitable barista's crafting specialty lattes, simple yet satisfying coffee, espresso, and tea selections, and an array of culinary delights waiting to be savored. Eagles nest is my go-to speciality latte & favorite that entices my tastebuds with its chocolate coconut almond mix pairing well with either their blueberry muffin honey bun or banana nut bread. Honey bun's not fresh (don't want it fresh perfect for light dipping in coffee) & the way I love it. soaking up that delicious coffee flavor combined with that cinnamon & light frosted glaze. Back Deck setting offers nice beach lounge chairs & some tables offered for patrons. There's also adjacent shops within their complex; patrons may enjoy awaiting hair appointments at Gentleman's Headquarters or Cabana 8 offering small selections featuring beach themed & nautical items or a few beach gear merch. Perfect for enjoying that sun shining day. Enjoy your experience here. I'll continue frequenting here during snowbird season. The Roasted Oak is a coffee shop located in the southeast corner of the lobby of The Lodge at Gulf State Park, which is by Hilton Hotel. They've got coffee, expresso, lattes, hand crafted cocktails, canned beers, a wine bar, as well as boards, dips, sandwiches, paninis, and desserts. There's no seating here but it's a few feet away from the lovely expansive veranda with one of the prettiest Gulf views across the dunes on the beaches of Gulf Shores. Tables and chairs there as well as Adirondack chairs with side tables is a great place to enjoy a hot or cold latte, s ack or cocktail while taking in the great scenery. Cooler months it's also a great place to grab a drink and sit by the fire or catch a fabulous sunrise over the beach. Bottom line: Good coffee, lattes and choice cocktails with a very friendly staff with reasonable prices and great views. Roasted Oak was located inside the Hilton's Lodge at Gulf State Park. It was perfect! Our room had coffee, but I moseyed down there for a stronger and large cup of coffee. Upon arriving, I saw so many delicious breakfast pastries and heard the sounds of a busy coffee bar. Customer service was so wonderful!! I ordered an Americano and a savory pastry; however, I came back before leaving to order a mocha and some sweets (cookie, pumpkin bread and a chocolate marble bread). There is a bar area and the coffee shop overlooks the Gulf waters. There was some outdoor seating, too! The coffee was made perfectly and I got my fill from their yummy treats. Be sure to visit this coffee shop, if you're in the area or staying at the hotel. It's good stuff! It's up there on my list of favorite coffee shops.

    Pops taking a break

A macchiato with caramel. Can not beat the view. You can hear the waves crashing. Coffee seems like it might not be very strong, but it's perfect for people who like blonde coffee. You have to park in the hotels parking lot, but it's worth the short walk up the walkway to left-hand side of the hotel.

Great little coffee spot at the Lodge at Gulf State Park. Nice rocking chairs on deck outside to sit at and enjoy the view of the dunes.

The fries were really good too, and I have to mention the ranch because I am PICKY about ranch and this was the good kind! The drinks were also a win. We tried the margarita and strawberry daiquiri, and both were so good and refreshing. The kids got butter noodles and chicken, my husband got the fish, and everything at the table was a hit. No disappointing meals here! Great food, great drinks, and that lobster roll alone would bring me back. Definitely one of our favorite meals of the trip!

The place itself is gorgeous. The setting is fantastic. You walk in thinking, "Okay, this is going to be a great experience." Then somewhere between the host stand and the check, things begin to unravel. Today finally pushed me into Yelp-review territory. We stopped in around 1 p.m. on a slow Sunday. The hostesses were gathered around the stand chatting like somebody had just dropped screenshots from the group text. The person who eventually greeted us was wearing dark sunglasses inside, which was certainly a choice. Not exactly the polished first impression you expect from a restaurant charging these prices. Once seated, things didn't improve much. Our server struggled to explain the specials, answer basic menu questions, or really seem familiar with what the restaurant was serving. Again, if I'm paying Zeke's prices, I'm expecting something slightly more polished than, "I thinnnnk that comes with..." Then the food arrived. One sandwich was specifically ordered without onions because of a food allergy. It arrived covered in onions. Another meal was supposed to come with Brussels sprouts. It arrived with fries instead. Our server disappeared for about 15 minutes after the food was dropped, so by the time she came back, we were nearly finished eating and in need of refills. I mentioned the missing Brussels sprouts and was told they'd be "right out." The Brussels sprouts were not right out. In fact, the Brussels sprouts apparently entered the witness protection program because we never saw them again. Neither did our server. Eventually she returned with the checks, seemed surprised that the Brussels sprouts had never arrived, removed them from the bill, and otherwise appeared remarkably unconcerned that the meal had been wrong from beginning to end. And that's really my issue with Zeke's. Restaurants have off days. Kitchens make mistakes. Servers forget things. I get it. But when you're charging premium prices, service should be the easy part to get right... and after multiple visits, Zeke's consistently misses the mark. At this point, I'll spend my local dollars elsewhere. And if you're visiting from out of town, just know what you're getting into: the view may be beautiful, but there's a decent chance your wallet will leave considerably lighter while you're still wondering whatever happened to your Brussels sprouts.

At one point the staff broke out into a huge dance party right in the middle of the restaurant, getting kids, parents, and even a few reluctant dads standing on their chairs and joining the fun. It was one of those moments where you couldn't help but smile. Outside there's something for everyone--yard games, a foam party for the kids, bungee-style trampolines, beach access, and plenty of places to hang out (pun absolutely intended). I can only imagine how much fun this place is at night with live music. The nachos were piled ridiculously high and disappeared much faster than they should have. Service was upbeat, attentive, and clearly focused on making sure everyone was having a good time. Don't skip the gift shop either. We left with a couple of super cute T-shirts and can koozies to remember the trip. The Hangout isn't just somewhere to eat--it's somewhere to make vacation memories. I'd happily come back.
