Oh Yeah! Best place in town for a mid--day weekend breakfast. There is usually a wait, but it's well worth it. The applewood smoked bacon is fantastic (if they remove the bacon juice) and the grits, although not at all southern, are a little creamy and tasty. Sandwiches and bagels are also very good. But the best thing of all is munching down on the kosher pickles and cole slaw while you wait on your breakfast. I leave no pickles behind... The service is acceptable, but it appears of late that the employees are very unhappy having to work for a living and it shows. Blank stares, expressionless greetings... We thought about dining here a few a few times before and were dissuaded by long lines. However, there is an ordering counter along with the restaurant itself, so also a good chance that the wait won't actually be that long. And it will be worth it. Now we know. My son and I took the great advice of staff. We were lucky to have been served by a personable woman who had worked there for over 20 years (and who I apologize to for not remembering her name!), ordering Challah french toast, and a Monte Christo sandwich. Verdict from 18 year old? "The second best sandwich of my whole life", which may sound unenthusiastic unless you know how reserved he is about approvals. Fantastic experience. read more

The Jewish deli has sadly been in decline in Miami (and elsewhere) for some time, so every time I find a place like Roasters and Toasters, which is just like the delis of my childhood, I am excited. Because I live in Madison, where there is pretty much a fresh fish dead zone, and especially a fresh nova/salmon dead zone, each time I eat at Roasters I get the nova platter, which feeds two people if you get an extra bagel. It comes with cream cheese, capers (you might have to remind the kitchen to bring them out), tomatoes, onions, olives, and peppers. And the fish is excellent, topped possibly only by getting a whole fish at Epicure. The most important thing Roasters does is serve new pickles and half-sours in an aluminum bowl at each table, as well as coleslaw. Without this, a deli is just an imposter. This review only applies to their pastrami and corned beef combo sandwich. I don't usually drive this far for lunch or brunch but I make it a point to go there whenever I crave for a NY style sandwich. The place is always busy and they deserve it. I like being served unlimited cole slow and pickles, to me it's part of the ritual. The regular combo sandwich is huge ( I can't even imagine ordering the Carnegie size) the meat is moist and tastes great - none of that dry Boar's head brand they serve in supermarkets and sub shops. IMO they serve the best deli sandwiches in Miami today , worthy of the classic delis that are now gone. The other plates look very good as well but I haven't tried any of them. If Roasters had been closer I'm sure I would have eaten there much more often. My only criticism is that the name is better suited for a grilled chicken franchise than for a NY deli, but I'm willing to ignore it. I just wish they'd open a location closer to the Grove, or even in South Miami. read more

This place is phenomenal. I am from Baltimore, the land of Jewish delis, and when I crave corned beef, I want good corned beef. I have been searching for three years down here and this is it! This is the best and biggest corned beef sandwich down here I have found yet. Mind you I was full for like two days from this monstrous masterpiece, but it was sooo worth it. It was probably the best rye bread I've ever had. Fresh and soft with a thin crisp crust. The mustard was perfect and the corn beef was lean and delicious. Haven't had the pleasure of sitting in to eat, only got a sandwich to go because they close at 3:30, but it was still fantastic! Definitely be careful if you are using the GPS to get here. I absolutely loved this place. Imagine walking into a restaurant where everybody knows each other, conversations are happening between tables and the owner is the one serving you! He was genuinely concerned about our experience seeing that it was our first time...and he could tell hehe. I mean it's one of the best breakfasts/lunches I have ever had anywhere! We ordered the soup of the day which was the Turkey and Corn Chowder, we couldn't stop eating it - it's pretty heavy by the way- even when the rest of the food got there. Then we had the Corned beef and Pastrami on Rye and the Chocolate hazelnut french toast... My oh my I wish I had words to describe how amazing both were. The portions are huuuge which makes the price totally worth it, about $10-$12/plate and since we ate most of everything, we got a yummy muffin afterwards just because the owner was so happy that we were happy! I've been here several times when visiting my daughter in Miami. On the weekends this place can get very busy with long lines. This place is a food overload! The portions are large, the omelet selections are abundant. There is a little bit of everything from fluffy pancakes, eggs and corn beef hash to burgers and fries and a Cuban sandwich. You really feel the Miami flavor in this place. It tends to get a lot of the local people. The staff is friendly and courteous. The service is good. I enjoyed my toasted sesame bagel with my breakfast of eggs, hash browns, and sausage. They have wonderful pastries and desserts. The best thing was the coffee. They really know how to make a good cup of coffee! This place is located in a strip mall there is plenty of free parking. I would definitely recommend this place. I have been going to Roasters n Toasters for years now, and I always leave thinking the same thing, "OMG, that was good!" They used to have bagel balls, those were delicious. The corned beef hash is amazing. Even writing about it makes my mouth water. Breakfast is always buzzing, a good atmosphere, friendly staff. I've had the eggs Benedict (only on weekends). I cashiered for the Brothers when they were Arnie and Richies during the early nineties. The food was so good and servings so plentiful I gained a solid 20 lbs. while there. "Tuna melt with provolone on an open-face, scooped out, whole wheat everything bagel." While this order might confuse amateur wait-staff at other delis, the Roasters staff doesn't miss a beat. Servings are fairly large, but so are the prices. Two people can easily leave with a bill of $30-$40. This is pretty pricey for breakfast compared to what I am used to. I think I had the most genuinely friendly dining experience I've ever encountered while living here in Miami. The restaurant welcomed us with a 25 minute wait. When I told the girl at the front that we were rushed because of a baby shower my fiancee had to attend, she was entirely too nice and somehow found a way to seat us at 12:30pm on a Sunday! The place was packed, and for good reason -- this place has a spirit and level of feel-good food that is exactly what you are looking for a deli lunch. All week I was looking forward to the chopped liver... unfortunately, they ran out very early, which was my only negative part of the experience. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart, and I could tell that she was apologetic about the whole issue... my sandwich was STACKED! I got 1/2 tongue and 1/2 pastrami sandwich ($14.25). The sandwich comes with a mound of delicious pickles and the best cole slaw I've had in a long, long time. My fiancee had the Bagel with Nova... it was perfect, and came with an entire variety of vegetables, including cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and olives. Their bagels are top notch. Ultimately, although a bit pricey for a Bagel with Nova ($12.95), the platter you receive is amazing. We left with a pound of their Marzipan Rugelach and ate half of it over the course of the day. Rainbow colored and delicious... mmmm. After shedding my tears over the lack of chopped liver, I somehow left with mounds of pickles and cole slaw because my waitress felt bad for me... she could tell we loved the side dishes so much! i must say Roasters' n Toasters was a very much peaks and valleys experience. The wait time wasn't too bad, 20 minutes and they were packed. Its always nice to be able to move tables so quickly. Upon being sat you get the complimentary Pickles and Slaw, my wife enjoyed them, but I was not much of a fan. For my meal I ordered the Create your own omelet, with oatmeal and a bagel, YAY CARBS!! The Omelet was nothing to write home about and it was so huge i wouldn't even come close to finishing it. The bagel and the oatmeal on the other hand were amazing and i really enjoyed both. My Wife got the Banana stuffed French toast which was crazy good and can be ordered every time with no fear. The service was very nice and friendly. Bussers are always moving around filling waters and clearing plates. The one dilemma came when my wife wanted a bit of the Nox to put in my bagel. The wait staff told us that they did have a side of Nox available and we ordered it. When our bill came it was $8, which wouldn't be bad if for $9 we could have gotten the full Nox order with a bagel and the onions and capers. Seemed really pricey and we wouldn't have ordered it knowing it was $8. Overall it was a good place for breakfast, but not great. read more

Hate to do this because R'nT has been a staple for Pinecrest deli for many, many years and, during a pandemic, one needs to have a bit more patience. That said, when the quarantine began, R'nT did an excellent job, delivering food with its own staff, typically as promised - within 60-65 minutes. However, in the last 3 weeks, they have become overwhelmed, mainly due to adding third-party delivery services that significantly increased orders beyond what their staff can handle. The phone number is always busy, the orders are delivered 90+ minutes from order, food arrives cold, and the order always has something missing. Nobody seems to care. There are other restaurants in town that make good breakfast food that have figured out how to make it work during a quarantine. Hopefully, R'nT will turn it around and figure it out. read more

This is the first review of a restaurant I've ever done I felt compelled to write one because the service was bad at the counter I walked up to the counter to order a bagel I see the price of a bagel 1.55 for a bagel I told the employee one bagel with cream cheese then he tells me that will be 4.23 I was not sure if I was being charged incorrectly I asked why I was being charge 4.23 he said you just asked for a bagel with cream cheese and cream cheeses is extra OK I thought no problem but then I figured out how much I paid for cream cheese 2.37! That didn't include tax I thought it was excessive price to pay for cream cheese for a bagel and didn't even taste good it was just average at Einstein's I got a bagel with cream cheese for 2.79 and it taste way better read more

This place was a pleasant surprise. The wait time was very quick for a Sunday brunch, only took about 15 minutes to be seated. My husband and I both tried the creole eggs benedict, which consisted of crab cakes (instead of English muffin), potatoes, fried shrimp, with the traditional hollandaise sauce. This place is great!! The staff are friendly. When you get seated, they serve you some pickled pickles and coleslaw. They have a lot of selections in their menu. The food was good. I got a plain bagel and plain creme cheese and it was perfect. I also got an OJ and it was fresh. My husband ordered the Cranberry salad and he said it was good.
