The only reason I gave this company one star is because I can't give them zero stars. This place has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. My experience is nearly identical to Sarah M's experience except I was going to spend much more than $12 (she left a review for this "company" on 12/30/16) MY REPLY TO ROBB WILLIAMSON'S RESPONSE: Interesting perspective Mr. Williamson. There's only a few problems with your side of the story. First and foremost, I was MORE than patient with your company. The very first time I brought the shoes to your establishment I was told that the shoes would be ready in two weeks. I dropped the shoes off on Dec 23, 2016 and expected them to be ready on or around Jan 10, 2017. ( I allowed a few extra days due to the holiday season) It took your shop until January 27, 2017 to complete the job in question. Twice as long as I was told in the beginning when I dropped the shoes off. What's your excuse for that? Then YES, you are correct when you say that I was pleased with the repairs that your shop made. Even though I was annoyed because you did not honor our original agreement, I did like the repair and decided to bring them back to your shop to reinforce the rest of the leather eyelets on the pair of shoes even though you didn't keep your word the first time because I wanted everything to match. I was told by Ken in your shop that they would get the repairs done as quickly as possible. I dropped them off for the second time on Jan 30, 2017. It was at that time that Ken wrote on my claim ticket that they'd be ready by Feb 15, 2017. On Feb 16, 2017 I called to your shop to find out if they were ready. I spoke with Ken and he told me the shoes were not ready and assured me that would be ready the following Wednesday, Feb 22. I came back to your shop Feb 22 and was informed that the shoes were still not ready. Is this your idea of "excellent customer service"? I told Ken at that time that these are not my shoes and I was getting sick of being asked by my wife when her shoes would be ready. It was at that time that Ken told me that "HE DIDN'T CARE IF MY WIFE WAS UPSET" then he started making excuses about people being sick in your shop. This is when I became so angry that I needed to leave your shop before I started screaming at Ken. To clarify, this is what I was referring to when I told Josh in your Decatur location that I needed to leave "before things got physical".  I noticed that in your response that you didn't mention that I called Josh an hour later and apologized for saying that and explained that I was just very upset because I'd been told by your employees multiple times that the shoes would be ready an they were not. Were you trying to make me look bad online Robb????? YES. I did call your staff liars because I was told things that weren't true multiple times. I felt like they were lying to me and making excuses. YES. I did tell Josh that I had to leave before things turned physical and I apologized for that. In fact, he said he understood and we could put that behind us. You mentioned in your response that I was informed of your ill father. This is inaccurate. I was not told about your father until I called the Decatur location to complain about Ken telling me that he didn't care if my wife was upset. Up until that point, I was only told that some people in your shop had been sick with the flu.  So when I spoke with your management staff, it didn't have anything to do with the accuracy of your staff's statements and had everything to do with Ken saying he didn't care. To be clear, THIS was the reason I said I had to leave your shop. With all of that said, it still doesn't explain why the initial repair took more than twice as long as originally quoted. It doesn't explain why no one from your "company" ever apologized for the inconvenience they caused. It doesn't explain why Ken thinks he can talk to customers the way that he did. Based on what you said in your response, it sounds like you are the only person in that shop qualified or skillful enough to do these types of shoe repairs. You see Mr. Williamson, I spent a very long time in the US Army and in my background we are expected to be able to perform other people's job tasks in case one person is incapacitated or called away.  It is unfathomable to me that a modern day business can not handle day to day operations if the owner is unable to do the work himself.  The bottom line is that you and your employees do not care about customer service. If you did, you would have done everything you could to understand the situation and to make it better. But as you said in your response...YOU decided not to do the repairs at all. read more

I've used this store for a few years and have always been pleased with the service and quality. I just had a pair of boots resoled and they did a fantastic job. They're old but still beautiful boots and wasn't sure it would work, but they made them look better than they looked when I bought them new. I expected it to take longer then it took. Price was fair. Happy we have someone who really knows shoes and can do quality work on them here. I trust this place and the quality they provide. I gave them my Elephant skin boots to correct the damage done by the youngsters. Took boots in 15Nov2018, kept checking on them periodically and one day someone else was there. Found the boots, uncompleted, left as done, and no call to me. They apologized and offered to continue the repair, added in doing the soles and weld. Have tried checking on my boots several times since, but they are at "the other location" being worked on. If I call about them they ask if I was called or texted, when I say no I'm told they will contact me when they are done. Have no idea if my boots are even still around, haven't seen them since 2019, when I paid $50 cash for the extra work that is needed to complete what was started in 2018. No mention if the sole and weld are being done that I haven't paid for yet. But at this point I'd just like my boots back, so I can take them to someone that will keep me involved and aware of what's going on. read more

Pretty disappointed in the repair done to my boots for $30 + tax. Our new pup chewed up my boot heel so I researched shoe repair places & decided on Robb Williamson Shoe & Boot Repair in Keller. I took the boots in & asked what could be done to repair my boots? A taller guy who I believe to be the owner of the dog, explained they would removed the chewed up wrap on the heel & this was a tedious, difficult process & then they would dye the plastic heels - on both boots so they would match. And the cost was $30. I agreed & paid. No other options nor suggestions were made. IMAGINE my surprise when I picked them up & it appears they simply painted over the dog chewed heel. Didn't even smooth or sand it for a smooth look. Different guy but I told him this is not what I was told. He says Ohhh.. well we could have done that for $60. Hmmmmmm.., him: who did you talk too? Listen, doesn't matter that I don't know 1st guys name. Fact is I did not get what I paid for & thats the reason for this review. I took my favorite comfortable boots here to see if they could replace a missing heel after battling a nasty mud and gravel hazard. When the shoe menders had finished, my boots looked gorgeous. **** UPDATE to Rob Williamson's response - I'm not sure when he responded but that's neither here nor there- I think his response speaks for itself, it's distasteful and claims no responsibility what so ever. Why am I not surprised? He did "apologize" (if you can call it that) at the end but no where did he accept responsibility for how vile and rude him and his employee were to me. He just blames the situation on me. The fact that he can't humble himself enough to admit that they were wrong makes me sick. If you read other reviews you will see that they make a habit of treating their customers like scum, it's a shame. He is more interested in telling people how "sought after" and how busy his shop is than treating people with respect. I got news for you, buddy, word is getting around. I sincerely hope that you and your staff learn some humility and respect because no one likes to support an entitled business owner. ----- Oh, and just FYI my boot broke AGAIN (for the third time) after I wore it for the first time. I took them back to have them repaired, once again, and was told they would take "two weeks, prob less" after three weeks not hearing anything I decided to call, and call, and call.... Every time I called no one knew what was going on and had no answer to when they would be done. I finally decided to go down there and check up on them, in hopes of getting a straight answer. They hadn't even started on them! The acted like they were doing me a favor by "stopping everything they were doing" to work on my boots (mind you they were already over a week late on the orig "completion" date) I told them I had some errands to run and that I could stop by and get them after I was done but to give me a call when they are done because I don't wanna drive all the way back over if they weren't done yet.......that was on a Tuesday and I never received a call. On Thursday I decided to call, once again, and check up. I was told they were done. I asked why they didn't call me to tell me that and his response was "you were supposed to stop by on Tuesday to pick them up and you never did"........[My thoughts were: SERIOUSLY?! So its my responsibility to somehow know they were done??] At that point I asked to talk to the owner, I was told he was out getting their lunch, I proceeded to point out to the associate that their communication thru this whole process had been lacking and I was very disappointed. At which point he got very rude and hostile, he told me "IM NOT GOINT TO SIT HERE AND ARGUE OVER A $12.00 TRANSACTION" I was absolutely flabbergasted!!! So because I wasn't paying a large amount of money to have my boots fixed, for the second time, because of the shoddy work they previously did I wasn't a priority??...I then told him I would be down there and wanted to talk to the owner. THE SECOND I WALKED IN THE DOOR HE TOLD ME "THERES YOUR BOOTS, I SHOULD TELL YOU WHATS REALLY WRONG WITH THEM BUT IM NOT GOING TO, NOW GET OUT!!!" I said "excuse me!?" he said "you heard me, get out!" I said "not until I speak with the owner" The owner proceeded to come out and instantly had an arrogant attitude as if he didn't have time for a "$12.00 customer" problems. I proceeded to explain everything to him as the other associate interjected with rude one liner comebacks. After going round and round it was clear to me that the owner did not care about what transpired and how his employee had spoken to and treated me. The owner kept saying that I called his associate a liar (Im not sure where that came from or how it could possibly justify the horrible customer service I was given). After I expressed that the associate YELLED "GET OUT OF HERE, LEAVE!" I was shocked, especially since the owner said nothing. I let them know that there would be reviews written and I would let people know not to do business here. To that the associate responded "it doesn't matter, we will just write a response" (can't wait to see this one!) Do yourself a HUGE favor and do not do business with these people. When I did go in, they questioned me for 10 minutes to make sure they belonged to me even though I had my receipt with me. My husband went in and was quoted one price and when he returned they not only increased the quote but then added more. This man sent messages to my husband almost harassing him, insulting him and being very condescending. My husband finally told him to stop bothering him. Exceptional work. We have had many pairs of dress shoes resoled in the past and they have always done an excellent job. I brought in a pair of boots to be stretched and noticed the sign that says zippers repaired. I have had zippers replaced before and it always looks horrible. I thought they were just going to replace the bottom piece of the zipper so I left it. They replaced the whole zipper and it looks FABULOUS!!! Looks just like new. So very impressed !!!! read more

The following Monday went to pick it up and finally got a text as well and the loops were not on the backpack. Was told they would add them on and wait for another text. Tuesday i went in to just get the backpack and the loops are still not on the backpack!! It's been almost three weeks at this point i just asked for the backpack back and the money back for the loops which was $18 since it was never done. He refused to give me the money back and offered complimentary new leather ones. It's not complementary if I've already paid for it and been waiting?? Just returned from this shop totally unsatisfied with a boot repair. Not only was the workmanship shoddy, but the staff refused to refund my money or offer to redo the work. The thread color was not a match (it was as "good as they could do") and the stitching style did not match the original boot stitch. The man who came up front from the workshop was so worried about his 'work' being insulted and his ego that he failed to provide any kind of acceptable customer service or to earn a repeat customer. Have had every type of shoe fixed from sandals to cowboy boots to dress pumps and even my husbands dress shoes. Always an amazing job. My cowboy boots have been brought back to life at least twice in 12 years by Robb. Worth the wait and prices sure beat replacing the shoes. If you have a pair that is comfortable, you cant beat getting them repaired by Robb. Robb is very direct with his customers and it is sad that they think he is rude. We have been using this company for several years now. We have had countless amounts of boots have a new sole put on (we haven't had to have any redone yet bc the quality is so amazing). We have even taken in shoes for friends who live on the other side of Dallas bc we talked so highly about them. Recently we took in a pair of light colored boots that had a grease stain on them. It was very obvious and they suggesting staining them a dark brown to hide the spot. Perfect! We recommend them to anyone and everyone who has a show problem. This is the worst repair job on a pair of shoes I have ever seen. I took my virtually new UGGs in to have a burn on the seam repaired. When i took the boot in, they told me they needed the other boot to ensure the repair matched. It made sense and gave me the impression that they were going to wrap or replace the seam with new material and apply the same repair to the other boot. Fast forward a month later and my boots still weren't repaired. Yesterday was two months and as you can see by the pictures, it's a botched job. I don't understand why they needed the other boot as they weren't even able to match the current boot nor did they attempt to make the seam continuous. When I spoke to the repairmen, he told me "you won't even be able to tell when you have them on." When I showed my husband the repair last night, He was able to tell immediately and advised me to speak to the manager or owner again. When I spoke to Rob today, he simply told me, "I'm sorry the repair didn't meet your expectations. This was always just gonna be a patch job." Be warned, this meets his expectations. They should have told me they couldn't repair the shoe or recommend that we try to color the scar from the burn as close to the original brown from the material. read more

I would prefer to give this place 0 ratings, but I was forced to give them at least 1 star. This review is long overdue. But, after reading some great reviews about this place, I had decided I wanted to drop off my boots here for a zipper repair. When I showed up to this place, A man at the front desk told me they weren't sure if they could help me, but to drop them off anyways and someone will call me to let me know. So I did. A couple weeks went by, and I still hadn't heard anything, so I decided to go back here and inquire about my shoes. A different man at the front desk told me that they were backed up, and after I showed him my ticket, he confirmed to me that they were going to be able to fix my shoes, but just hadn't got to them yet, but they would call me after they had finished with them in a few days. He told me to go ahead and pay for them now, since I didn't the first time. I was fine with this, I paid and left. Another couple weeks went by, and I didn't recieve a phone call or anything. Now, I was getting angry, as it had now been about a month since I dropped off my show. I went back to this business, and explained to them that it has been over a mos since I dropped my shoes off, and I keep getting told that they will call me and they haven't. The man at the front desk started getting an attitude stating that they are backed up and they have just had a death in the family, which is why business has been slow. I was very sorry to hear this, but at the same time as a paying customer who's been waiting over a month, I asked him to put himself in my shoes. He went back to check on my shoes and came back out and stated he had someone working on them right now, and they would be ready in a few minutes and asked me to pay. HE ASKED ME TO PAY AFTER I HAD PAID THE LAST TIME I CAME TO CHECK ON MY SHOES!!!!!!!!!!! NOW I WAS LIVID! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!?!?! I told the man that I had paid the last time I was there a few weeks back, told him how much I paid, and he could even check their security cameras to see that I did. He still adamantly denied that I did. Unfortunately, I didn't even think to ask for a receipt when I paid, but Thank God I paid with my debit card because I was able to show him my bank transaction on my phone, confirming that I did pay a couple weeks ago. He let it go, gave me my shoe, and I left. This is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever experienced in my life, and they tried to steal my money!! Super disappointed and feeling ripped off! I went about 2 weeks ago with an old pair of Birkenstock's, asking how much to re glue the cork soles. He told me they stopped making the cork glue and I could just apply Elmer's on my own. He then showed me how the sides had come unglued and he could fix that, something I had not even noticed. He quoted me around $25 to glue the sides and clean them up. I said that was a little steep, so he offered me a discount. It was just over $20 and I was pleased. Well I just picked them up and they were not cleaned, nor were the sides glued. Instead, he said they glued the leather insole to the footbed. Huh?! We never even spoke about that. Cleaning would be an additional $25. When I expressed my shock, he did offer to glue the sides down, although he never said there would be no additional charge. I was so disappointed and no longer trusted this person, so I declined. I figured I could clean them on my own , and glue them for that matter, without having to wait another 2!weeks. Turns out the guy is either very uninformed or very dishonest as I just looked it up and of course they still make Birkenstock cork glue. I just ordered the complete cleaning kit on Amazon!
