The latte art was…read moreclean, the milk was initially well integrated, and the drink started with decent body and texture. The biggest issue was temperature. It was served hotter than a Gibraltar should be, which made it difficult to pick up the coffee's sweetness and flavor nuances early on. The heat overpowered the cup and muted much of what the coffee had to offer. As the drink cooled, more character started to come through, but the body and texture began to thin out through the middle of the cup. The drink became noticeably more watery and didn't retain its crema and microfoam particularly well, causing it to lose some of the structure and richness it had when first served. Overall, a Solid Gibraltar with good fundamentals and a nice presentation.

Incredible just incredible!…read more I was driving around town and was in need of a coffee treat. Saw the reviews, came here and almost didn't leave the car. The shopping center felt sad and run down. Once I figured out how to get inside, I was greeted by a friendly nod and an amazing coffee menu. It was hard to decide but I ventured for Rosemary Bee and was blown away by the overall quality of coffee. The barista is a coffee artist. You can see how I gulped half of it before taking the photo. I wish I lived closer -- this would easily be my regular coffee spot. I want to try everything.

I kept hearing Bevel in Altadena had great coffee and as I'm a self proclaimed coffee aficionado I…read morehad to go. Well everyone is spot on. I had a dreamy Queen Bee latte( espresso, local honey, vanilla extract and almond milk) I would love it more if they had coconut milk as it's better for you and the environment than oat or almond milk. Took home a salt bagel and pistachio croissant. Made a Canadian bacon and egg on half the bagel at home at it was delicious. I'm also a bagel snob as I lived in NY for 8 years. This was a good bagel. Saving the croissant for tomorrow so I'll update later but it's huge and looks flaky and yummy. The place is darling, definitely not your typical private equity coffee spot. The staff was super friendly and when I couldn't decide which pastry to get, the young man asked if I wanted sweet or savory. Love a place with great customer service There is the added bonus aid being across from the Armenian market and Prime Pizza, all places you need to go in Altadena.

Barista was kind and pleasant to talk to, and there's five tables out for outdoor seating or a long bench with laptop stands inside. I got the Queen Bee with oat milk, and it was a great drink! I enjoyed the sweetness and would definitely revisit whenever I'm in the area!

Cozy, artsy spot right next to Bub and Grandma's with street parking nearby. The foil-covered walls…read moreand lights give it a creative, modern vibe. What makes this place stand out is Joe Han, the U.S. Brewers Cup semi-finalist. You can really see the care he puts into each drink, and he personally brings your order to your table. Tried three drinks: -A Goose's Dream - light, citrusy, and really refreshing. -Freddo - creamy and bold, slightly heavy on the vanilla syrup but still balanced. -Moim Matcha - high-quality matcha, smooth and clean with just the right amount of sweetness. I wanted to try the sem-final coffee, but it was difficult to pay the $20 price tag. Maybe next time. I'd come back to support a place like this.

The cafe, with its unassuming facade, is a hidden gem nestled on the outskirts of the Arts District. It offers a comforting escape from the bustling city. I ordered their signature Cortado with whole milk. The rich, creamy texture of the whole milk perfectly complemented the robust flavor of the coffee, making it an ideal choice for a cold morning. The cafe has two floors and plenty of seating. I love that they play classical music softly, adding life to the space. They are cashless. Free street and paid parking are both available around the area. I parked on 6th St. and just walked less than a block.

Is this possibly the bougiest coffee shop in L.A. (bougie defined as pretentious)? Yah, it's…read moredefinitely in the running. The patrons include bicyclists whose bikes cost more than my car, folks driving Porsches (the bougiest car of all imho), lots of performative tattoos, and more athleisurewear than I've seen in my life. And this is in Cypress Park, which to me is most famous as the location of my favorite King Taco (not bougie at all). So, is gentrification happening here? That's a big yes. When the word "elevated" gets used to describe menu items, that's a dead giveaway. And yet....that Mascarpone latte is a work of art. Per their website, it's a "Tiramisu inspired drink layered with espresso, mascarpone cheese foam, and muscovado milk." It's just as good as it sounds. And honestly, these days, $8 was a bargain. Shocking how many young people were up and ordering their custom drinks at 7:30 am on a Sunday morning. I'm guessing the line gets really long on weekends. So order early! Five stars for creative drinks and free street parking.

In each and every visit, I know I am boring, I ordered the same thing - CORTADO. The benefit of being boring and visiting several times is that I can definitively say that they churn out consistently GREAT cortados. I was able to finagle some of the following as well: - HOT LATTE. Not "watery", or should I say "milky". Strong and creamy. - FONDRY KOUIGN AMMAN. Sooo good. Of course. And without the Fondry line. Staff is always awesome. Parking looks challenging but I've never had a problem. There was always space for me to sit and down my bean drug.
