Needed some caffeine after a long drive and wanted to check them out. Parking can be a bit of a struggle but be patient. Looking over the menu everything looks of high quality and carefully curated drinks. Each one made to serve a purpose. I've had an espresso tonic before and I like the idea of it. I saw one on the menu and decided to go with it. It's a more refreshing and lighter way to enjoy espresso. Caribbean Tonic ($7.50): espresso tonic with pineapple juice, coconut cream, and tonic syrup. Garnished with a dehydrated pineapple The marble (matcha/mascarpone/pistachio) and the mascarpone drinks (think tiramisu) are both $8 and popular. They look very pretty too. They also have some breakfast burritos and baked goods.

I love this location and its selection! I've been to different Kumquat locations but I love the vibe here. Parking is also much easier. The mascarpone is like a dessert in a cup and it's so delicate. It's my favorite. We also tried the tomato scone and it was really good.

Loquat Coffee also owned by Kumquat Coffee and Fondry. I was excited to try Loquat located in Cypress Park ( around the 5 and 10 freeway) limited street parking only. We ordered the iced Lumiere $8.50 which is Mango Puree, organic pineapple juice, Mascarpone foam, cold milk. Odd taste. You need to like the idea of having a fruit juice mix with your coffee. Iced Mascarpone Expresso with oatmilk $8.75. The drinks are just OK imo. I've had better Mascarpone drinks in the OC. They have limited pasties from Fondry and Baker's kneeded. Not satisfied that they do not warm up the pastries for you because they were hard and cold.

Life isn't perfect but your iced coffee can be. That being said let's begin this ostentatious review. ;D ha! LOQUAT COFFEE (est 2024) is a corner specialty coffee shop in Cypress Park neighborhood of LA. It's a private label of Kumquat Coffee. LC's drink menu has an even distribution of espresso, pour-overs, cold brew, teas and signature drinks. Its interior is beautifully designed with an eye catching yellow & black color background scheme throughout the coffee shop. Furthermore, their seats were mixture of modern and classic design. Similarly, its high ceiling gives it more visual depth with natural light through their large windows. And the shop has that industrial exterior look with barely readable name. Anyways, Loquat's atmosphere was very relaxing. Staff were eloquent and competent. Prices were slightly higher than other coffee shops. Service was spot on. Coffee quality was great. Music background was soothing. As for drinks, I had a Brazilian Cold Brew. And it was bloody awesome! It's very refreshing really especially on a hot sunny day. Free wifi. Ample of street parking. Overall, I had a splendid experience and enjoyed my drink. I highly recommend you visit. See you next time.

Really cute coffee stop , we stumbled upon it because we wanted coffee and a pastry . I got the signature mascarpone and the croissant. I REALLY love the pastry for the crunchy flavor . The drinks were delicious and the service was quick! I'll def be back . My friends also got the cookie and sausage pastry and they were delicious .

Loquat is such a cute vibey coffee shop. The outdoor area is so relaxing to just sit and sip on your coffee. I ordered the matcha with vanilla and it was very tasty. The vanilla was so good I loved it. I also tried their coffee and that was also very tasty. The coffee beans were so fresh. The service was also great all our questions were answered.

Mascarpone iced latte. Not sweet enough for me.

My cousin recommended this coffee place for me to try in Highland Park so I thought I'd go see for myself. The coffee shop color is very modern and pleasing to the eye. Parking on street only. I came for the Mascarpone Iced Latte since my cousin told me that is a must try. I ordered it with oat milk. The drink is very instagrammable. I was instructed to mix it up before drinking. I did and took the first sip. Okay, it's not sweet at all but a bit bitter from the cocoa powder, I mixed it some more, and although it wasn't as bitter upon start, it didn't get much sweeter for me. Keep in mind I love my coffee sweet and creamy and unfortunately this wasn't it. There was also a lot of (what I presume to be) coffee bean nibs in every sip I took. I did not like that at all and there was a lot of them, 2/5 for me. The Croissant Presse that I ordered looked really good as it was flat and had a caramel glaze on top. I was expecting it to be chewy and delicious. Instead, it was super crunchy. It was okay, 3.5/5 for me. Service was great, I just didn't enjoy the drink and pastry as I thought I would.

Unfortunately, not as exciting as their sister store, Kumquat. It's very small with a few chairs outside and a bench inside. More of a take-out shop. Got the iced hojicha and it's exactly as I expected. Still refreshing and straightforward. There's some neighborhood parking across the street but otherwise I wouldn't make the trip unless you're in the area.

Wow! Such a amazing coffee spot for the locals here in Cypress Park, the line starts outside, and they are very polite and kind and considerate in line. Everyone holds the door for you, Drip coffee is great, they grind the beans you get to see the magic happen here My match tea was excellent it was a ceremonial tea I watch him wish the match and pour it so amazing. First time here and it was so clean and vibes were great! Keeping local business going

This place is great, very unique drinks. We tried the marble matcha with mascarpone cold foam and scattered crunchy pistachios on top - Wowowow this drink is unbelievable I could have finished it in seconds, then the classic Mascarpone which tastes just like tiramisu - also incredible - the two pair great together for alternate sips. Tried the banana bread mini loaf which was very dry, but it was late afternoon and had maybe gone past its best, also got an iced americano which was decent. Come here for the speciality drinks though they are so worth it

Intimate coffee shop located on the corner of the block. There's not a whole lot of seats, but they have about 4 barstools by the counter. Spacious waiting area though! The theme here is quite cute! I like their coffee bag packaging here since they're shaped like cars haha. I ordered the mascarpone coffee and it was pretty good! It reminds me of a mocha, but a bit more creamier. The chocolate bits(?) were hard, but presents light notes of chocolate as you drink. The drink looks like a dessert, but it's not that heavy!

A little small cute local coffee shop in the Cypress neighborhood. I would have loved to have this around when I used to lived in the area. Street parking is available. There is some outdoor seating but overall, seating is limited. Staff is super friendly!! My friend and I came here on a Monday morning after breakfast. There was no line and it was super busy but seats were all taken. I can only imagine how busy it is on the weekends. I wanted to try the Horizon signature but they no longer have that on the menu - super sadness since I am a hojicha/black sesame girly. Hope they bring this back as a seasonal or soemthing so I can come back to try it one day!! We both ended up getting the mascarpone signature - which is espresso, mascarpone foam, and milk. 10/10 would return for this one drink!! Absolutely loved the foam and espresso flavor. It was a good balance of sweetness from the foam and espresso coffee flavor. I'm so sad that I finished the drink so fast but it was just too good, I kept chugging it HAHA

Always solid coffee at this family of coffee spots. It was a hot day so I skipped on my typical cappuccino order and got their mascarpone/tiramisu inspired drink. The drink was delicious but definitely not a sipper. It was delicious! Next time I will opt for the cold brew though so I can enjoy the drink longer.

Where did you guys get your black hand sanitizer pump??! It's so aesthetic!!

How much seating is there? It's hard to tell from the photos. Is it the kind of place where you can come and sit and work for a while, or more of a pop in-pop out kind of place?

There's three small tables out front and four bar seats inside

Does it place have something to do with Kumquat coffee?

Yes, same owners

What continues to stand out is the remarkable consistency. Every cortado has been prepared with precision, from the espresso extraction and milk texture to the serving temperature and overall balance. The body stays cohesive throughout the entire drink, allowing the flavors to remain expressive from start to finish. It's the kind of consistency that's difficult to achieve and even harder to maintain, which is why every visit is just as enjoyable as the last. More than just serving exceptional coffee, Endorffeine has become my place of peace. Sitting at the bar with a cortado in hand and watching Jack work is where I feel most at ease. There's something calming about watching someone so dedicated to their craft. His passion and attention to detail are immediately apparent, and it's rare to see someone so committed to quality that they're willing to remake a drink as many times as necessary until it meets their own standards. That level of care, precision, and consistency is something any coffee enthusiast can appreciate, and it's a big part of what makes Endorffeine such a special place.

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.

This shop is especially effective, offering good quality and great service that seamlessly integrates into the local community and vibe. I came in a Sunday morning after my child had her class at the nearby Klub Gymnastics center. We entered via the surprisingly scenic riverwalk amongst active hikers and bikers, past the nearby bike rental shop, and got in line. The place was packed and filled with like-minded family and others enjoying the morning. With essentially identical products, I evaluate chains like Colombe and Starbucks by how well they integrate with a local community and how busy it is. More people coming and going, more lingering, and more laughter and conversation overheard is what I like to see. This Colombe location fit the bill perfectly, filled to the brim with people were taking in the most of a humid day Frogtown. My large iced tea Chai Tea latte was delicious, as expected, and although a little bit pricey ($7 with tax), it came with great service, a friendly smile, and staff who offered to help my daughter fill her a little cup with water. I stumbled across their Yelp page when I was visiting from out of town and checked the Instagram for their hours on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to see they were open! The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves!
