I have eaten here 4 times. The first experience was great. The steak was perfect along with everything else except the water which was tap water. Started going downhill from there. My last experience I ordered a rib eye. OMG. I was served a piece of grizzle. I had a sharp knife that couldn't cut through it. I needed a chain saw. I was done with that steak. Any one star chef could tell this wasn't to eat. It was strictly for the garbage. They brought a better piece. I was exhausted. I really think they changed chefs and got 'a want to be' with no experience. This person came out to retrieve my sorry piece of fat and grizzle he served me and had absolutely nothing to say. We tried it again for the second time; there will not be a 3rd. We really want to support local establishments, but this one is off our list for good. We were really wanting a good steak; didn't want to drive to Sherman or Gainesville with storms coming, so thought we would try again. What they got right. Blue Cheese dressing was good and thick and the salad large for a dinner salad. Seasoning on the rib eye steaks were very good and they were cooked to medium for me and medium rare for my husband. The cheesy potatoes were pretty good and husband's baked potato was fine (hard to screw up a baked potato). What was wrong. 1) Green beans tasted literally like they had been dumped out of a can and some commercial bacon bits thrown in and this is after we asked was there bacon in them. We expected real bacon, not bacon bits. No other seasonings could be tasted. 2) Rib Eye Steaks: My rib eye was ok, a little tough and gristly - I could eat it with a lot of chewing. Husband's was nothing but fat and gristle (see photo) - over a 1/3 was left on the plate because it was not edible. It is obvious that the steak is not a prime grade, but commercial grade or less. 3) We were also surprised that no rolls, toast or any type of bread was served with our meal. Their response was "we only serve with the BBQ". Guess this is an area where they cut back. I find it very hard to recommend this place for anything, especially with our first experience with the BBQ being so bad and now with the expensive steaks. read more

Great little new place that offers a plethora of different options. We started with fried zucchini sticks and shared the loaded baked potato, BBQ beans and green beans. The sweet tea is SWEET. The BBQ beans are ranch beans with BBQ sauce and the green beans needed a little salt but everything was tasty and the service was excellent. read more

They have recently opened a new location They have a facebook page and getting great reviews, the local paper had a great review too. We decided to give it a try Saturday about 1:30 they close at 3 pm. Even though it was after the lunch rush they were busy. We each got a two meat plate ribs & pulled pork and sliced brisket and jalapeño cheese sausage. Our sides (2 come with a plate) were Cole slaw, green beans, fried okra and a side salad. We started with fried pickles which were delicious. The meals came and we could have split one plate there was ample servings. The brisket was moist and tender, the pulled pork also moist and tasty, the ribs were very good. The jalapeño sausage was ok could have been warmer. The sides were delicious. I spoke to our server (who was great) she's the owners daughter, they only have three days they are open, but the plan is for more days. I would suggest being open Friday later that 8. We decided to try this place a second time (the first was not positive but not terrible). We went between 3 pm and 4 pm for late lunch/early dinner. We were the only customers in the restaurant. After about 15 minutes, we were waited on. My husband ordered smoked turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and green beans. I ordered a brisket sandwich with fries and green beans. We waited and waited - still the only customers. Could not get any attention from the server as she was busy on her cellphone. Finally, after about 30 minutes, our food was brought to us. Much to our disappointment, both of our meals were cold - all of it!! My husband's mashed potatoes were clearly instant potatoes. No drink refills. We ate what we could which was not much, had to flag someone down for our check. We paid and left. No third time for us. read more

We ordered the loaded brisket or pork baked potato for $11 each. They asked if we wanted beef or pork and we stated beef. The potato was a nice large heavy potato but we could not find any beef on the potato. Very disappointing. read more

Robby's Bar B Que just west of 901 and on the Hwy 82 service road has opened. 1st experience. Metal building comfortable in 100 degrees. Staff very friendly and attentive. Fairly busy on Friday early evening. Wife ordered the chopped beef stuffed potato and I had the chopped beef sandwich and fries as a side. The brisket had a rich flavor the fries were fries but cooked and seasoned very well. The wife's potato looked amazing but could hardly see. It was covered well with chopped brisket. Nothing to complain about. Servings size left you full and hoping there is time for a nap. Cost wise right there with fast food burger which was unbelievable. read more

I so wanted this place to be good. The problem with BBQ places is that people think that it's either the greatest BBQ on the planet or the worst. There is rarely anything in between. This place would land at the lower end, but still not the worst. Before I get into the "cons" I'd like to start with some "pros". This is a really affordable BBQ place. Even the steak prices seemed lower than usual. The young lady who waited on me was very nice. She was basically working the whole restaurant floor by her self. Now the cons.... I ordered sliced brisket and regular sausage with fries and a salad. The salad was really good. The sausage was good as well, the brisket was dry and just had no seasoning. It was also cold as was the sausage. The fries.... Oh, the fries! The minute that they got to the table I could smell burnt grease. I tasted one and it tasted burnt and smelled like old grease. I spoke with the waitress and mentioned that the grease needed to be changed. She said she would get me different fries. The other fries came to the table and once again gross. I finished lunch and went to pay. I again told the young lady that I thought the grease was bad and she said "yeah, he said that he needed to change it last night, but he's going to change it today". I doubt that I'll give this another try. read more
