In at about 6:30pm on a Thursday. Restaurant was mostly empty. Counter service was helpful and friendly. Ordered a two piece catfish with 3 piece of shrimp. Much of the dining area was messy. Grabbed a booth and realized lights & tv weren't on. Staff did come to turn on lights, but not tv sets. Music in restaurant was too loud for a conversation. Best part of the dinner was the fries. Good amount of seasoning, interesting cut, served piping hot. Fish and shrimp were both bland and over cooked. Dinner was not worth $22+ per plate. read more

Very friendly staff. Very spacious and nice bar. The catfish was utterly amazing. The score on the breading was perfect. The coleslaw was a tad bland but lets go back to that catfish. Went there for dinner and it took about 45 minutes to get our food. They had one cook and he was cooking one thing at a time. There were 3 of us and we all ate our dinner separately as they were bringing it one at a time. It was not busy in there either. The sides for the Salmon, veggies and rice, we're almost too tough to chew or just plain. Along with the no taste, the bottled hard sodas were outrageously over priced... ($14 for a 12oz 5% alc). The reason for three stars is, the restaurant is very clean. Three of us tried different dishes. My seafood boil was a greasy mess. It reminded me of the Asian seafood places popping up everywhere. Walking into this place is off putting. It smells of chemicals. It feels humid with not enough AC. They've got a fan blowing just to circulate air. It's only 91* which is not hot in TX so they shouldn't be having issues with AC. On to the next issue; the oysters were awful. They had a brown tinge to the juice, smelled off and went in my hub's mouth and right back out. We've had our fair share of oysters to eat, but these were beyond edible. It's sad because at one point and time they were decent-when they first opened. I ordered the tuna steak with rice and veggies which I've had before and it was great. Nope. Not this time. It had the consistency of rubber rawhide. The taste was like a chemical flavor. We left and offered to pay for our beverages, but the manager (I assume) told us to leave. Then he smarted off and said, 'Well if you didn't want the meal you should've told me.' Um ok, we were giving it a try because we know crap happens and bad batches of oysters can be shipped. We were trying to stay and give you business, but won't eat something that tastes horrible. Sad this business has gone downhill like it has. Definitely won't be back. read more

Fish and Chips! Very good, huge flaky white fish and perfectly seasoned "chips", this was quite a surprise. This was my first visit, the menu has everything from burgers and tacos to steak and seafood.
