I was told in email they will not refund for broken dentures…read more I went and read other complaints about affordable dentures and implants. They have taken so much money from the patients. They suck you right in and when the product doesn't fit you are out of thousands. And they will not refund your money. I think all of the affordable dentures and implants need to be investigated..just like the dental assistant that took over 600,000 in a couple of months. If they are going after her.. they need to go after affordable dentures and implants. They have taken millions away from their patients. I'm not just talking about the one in Myrtle Beach..it's all locations. Go pull up reviews for affordable dentures and implants see for your self. I will not let this die down. I don't have the money to get more dentures. Affordable dentures have my 5300.00 now I'm sitting at home cause I don't go out much in public I don't have any top teeth. I had to turn dentures in to start the refund process. Which I was told I will not get refund on the broken dentures. I've reached out to my lawyer...will be making a case cause on top of all of this I was Victim of the scandal that took place at this office. Best of luck people.. Please read others review of affordable dentures and implants. They need to be stopped. We work hard for our money and for affordable dentures and implants to take it from us. It's not right and it's not fair and especially to senior citizens on a fixed income. God Bless.

Don't go to this dental practice. It is a factory dental office owned by corporate whomever. Dr…read more Shapiro examined my mouth told me I needed a lot of crown which was BS. I have seen other people post that in reviews. The biggest weakness I see in this practice is inconsistent with care. I went every 6 months for dental cleanings and yearly x-rays. Dr. Shapiro doesn't come in and do an exam on you every 6 months. That was my first red flag! My old dental practice in Mt. Pleasant the young dentist examined you every 6 months. Then I decided to do InVisaligns with them, BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! You have to change your trays out according to your treatment plan. I remember I gave them a big down and took 2 months to get me started. I went in to get my trays changed and Dr. Shapiro hadn't ordered them. The ones I had were cracking and worn down, what good was that doing me? Then they switched dental assistants on me because the other one quit. This girl wasn't half as good as the other. @ one cleaning that Dr. Shapiro didn't check my teeth on a six month check-up. The hygienist told me my tooth was cracked, so she called him in there. He told me I needed 2 crowns, lo and behold my old dentist said " I only needed one." I had a friend that went there, she was supposed to get 2 and ended up with 3. I wanted out of the practice so bad, but once U do Invisalign's with a dentist, they hold the treatment plan. The last straw for was when I had a 10:30 am appointment, I got there @ 10:15 and watched everyone go on. The front desk told me I had to wait because the back was full and they had an unannounced inspector there. The medical assistant tried to get me to sign a treatment plan and I refused. I am in the medical field and don't sign anything unless read. The icing on the cake when I didn't get to go in for appointment when the inspector was there. I told them I needed to pick up trays. I was brought trays for the bottom half of of my teeth and was never told that I need to keep wearing the top, so when I went back my teeth had moved from instruction the was never given to me. I was @ the end of my Invisaligns when this happened. When I went for the next appointment, I had a sharp dental hygienist and she told I should have been wearing the tray for my uppers from the last week. I schedule d to get the attachments off and get trays after that and have moved on. I found another dental practice I am very happy with. NO CONTINUITY OF CARE @ THIS PLACE. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE. Whomever answers this the management, U should take heed to your continuity of care because it fails horribly. I have been in the medical field for 45 years and your dentistry is nothing but a FACTORY!!!!!!!

So unbelievably disappointed in this dentist. Waited nearly 3 months from the time we moved here to…read moreget an appointment to be told that I have a cavity, and then I have to wait another 2 months in some pain. My cavity was just filled last week. A week later I had a little bit of pain on the bottom of my mouth on the same side put on the bottom and the VA finally gives dental coverage due to being 100% disabled now. So the VA gives me a few choices of where I want to go. After not even a week, I went to a different dentist who also has good reviews. This dentist just found I have two more cavities he said one would have been hard to see and the other one was clear as day but he said it's just a little sticky but it's still a cavity. Although the dental hygienist was nice, my wife and I both felt she was a little rough. Farrow Parkway dentist missed both of these cavities from not even a week ago. My wife and I both thought the dentist was way too fast and did not give enough time to make sure we were okay. My wife is also going to be looking for a new dentist as well. Something else to note. This dentist office uses the old archaic x-ray system where you have to put your mouth on this little device that crunches your gum line or whatever and they take an x-ray then they go to another place and they take an x-ray then they go to another place and they take an x-ray each time making you bite down on this hard plastic thing that typically hurts. The new dentist I just went to has the updated device, which goes all the way around your head with one great x-ray. The only reason why I'm giving two stars instead of one is that I felt like the office was very clean, and they sent the x-rays to the new dentist's office. I wouldn't have even looked for a new dentist if I didn't get VA Dental benefits. I'm so happy I went to a different dentist, I really wanted to love this dentist as my wife and I met someone , right when we moved here, that said the female dentist is awesome, but the male dentist is kind of a jerk. We had no experience with the guy, It's apparent this dentist office does not use yelp. I was a business owner, and I valued every review I got even if it wasn't perfect it gave me the opportunity to grow as a business and fix that damaged relationship if there was damage

Stay away unless you are a big sucker and like to be financially cleaned out. From $1150 to $2500 in four years. Talk about inflation! Dr. Savage is quoted in Coastal Insider in January of 2018 as saying "No one likes going to the…read moredentist and not being treated well...Many people have had experiences of being talked down to, or made to feel wrong or ashamed...So here, we not only give patients great care, but we also give them great customer service and turn that dynamic of scolding on its head." We take what our patients say about us very seriously...." Yet here is his response when I tried to address a situation which occurred when, Karly a member of his staff, made an insurance error by telling me she did not have my current dental insurance policy information on file. Instead, she told me she had been processing claims on an old insurance policy the office had on record which terminated on 12/31/2022. 3 years ago! They did, in fact have my latest policy information, as the last 3 years claims went thru and paid Dr. Savage with no issues. We all know an insurance company isn't paying a dentist on any claim they may submit on a terminated policy. We also know if they didn't get paid, the dentist would have addressed the issue 3 years ago! She must have missed my current policy information somehow or read my file wrong. Instead of an apology, for her error, I got this. Mary, I had hoped we had moved on from September but insurance continues to dominate your dental care. I appreciate the kind words but these scenarios are the exact reason I have been 'out of network' with insurance for the last 13 years. To be honest dental insurance or a patients lack there of has absolutely no bearing on how I/we treat patients. If a patient is looking for the lower value care in regards to their health I gladly encourage them to seek care elsewhere as with anything it is not always a good fit. The back and forth becomes exhausting and the actual patient care becomes secondary and relationship(s) fractured. In regards to insurance we 'provide' a service to try and coordinate and explain patients individual plans but at the end of the day insurance companies do what they want. They provide less detail and make verification's for out of network offices harder because we have not contracted to their standard of care. All that being said we are not in the insurance business nor claim to be. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the care or how you were treated then in the most sincere way I think it would be best we part ways and you seek care elsewhere. I genuinely wish you the best and will make sure we forward your records per your request to the provider of your choice. DS Does this sound like a dentist who treats you well, doesn't want you to feel wrong or ashamed, and takes what you say very seriously? Is this what he means by great customer service? Dr. Savage tells you himself he is "not in the insurance business" and "If a patient is looking for the lower value care in regards to their health I gladly encourage them to seek care elsewhere as with anything it is not always a good fit." Since when did relying on insurance to keep costs down and wanting to be sure your dentist has correct policy information in their computer so you are not being over billed on your out-of-pocket costs become an indicator of wanting "lower value care?" Based upon the response which centers entirely around the insurance aspect, not his staff members error, and the fact that he asked me to seek coverage elsewhere, It appears to me that "To be honest dental insurance or a patients lack there of" actually does have "bearing on how" I/we treat patients". Keep this in mind if you ever consider seeking his services.
