Horrible experience! Came there for a blow dry which usually cost me $30 in any other salon. Robert Daniels charges $30 for a regular blow dry and for a long hair blow dry - $35. So I was ok paying $35 since my hair is pretty long. When I came to pay the front desk told me it's $50 for a blow dry !!!! It's really not about the money it's about that they should put in their price list that they charge $50 not $35, if they would I would go somewhere else I don't think it's worth paying $50 for a simple blow dry which was really not special. I came to robert daniels salon for over 2 years. Specifically to soner. I will give the men that work there due credit they do good work but one the day of my engagement shoot I was running 20 min late from my makeup appt. I called to let soner know. When I arrived he told me im not taking you. Ummm honestly! If I have been a client of yours for the past 2 yrs its very inappropriate and cruel not to take someone on such an important day. I was so pissed I will never return to robert daniels. Over the past 2 years soner has gotten overly conceded. I have waited 30/40 min before so for him to turn me away on the day of my engagement shoot was ridiculous therefore I will never be coming back nor will I further recommend people absolutely disgusting and hideous treatment! read more

terrible experience here. Yosef cut my hair. I have never experienced PAIN during a haircut but his haircut HURT!! He pulled hard at my hair repeatedly and hostilely apologized. He sprayed water directly in my ear repeatedly and burned by scalp with the blow dryer. During the haircut he carried on conversations with people standing behind him and turned away from me while continuing to pull and yank on my hair. He sent someone to buy cigarettes and for him in the middle of the haircut. He was totally disrespectful and hostile to me. I will NEVER go here again. read more

robert daniels salon was honestly the worst experience i have ever had at any salon. The receptionists were terribly rude, completley ignoed me then i went in to to dye my hair and the hair stylist had a major attitude he didnt want to hear any questions, then the girl who blow dried my hair ad no idea what she was doing, and my hair came out horrible and they did not want to try and fix it they were so rude, and so nasty i am so disgusted with this salon i dont recommend anyone come to this salon, and I have never written a review online before in my life this was the first due to my disgust and outrage with this salon read more

What's sad about this place is that they don't even take the criticism they get if it's bad. They "flag" it. This salon owner is a fraudulent thief who rips you off, chooses the Stylists side over yours if you're unhappy, and then refuses to offer a complimentary service to fix the mess his stylists create, rather he offers you to never come back again if he gives you a free fix, which should be given in the first place since they messed up your hair. Nonetheless, I already wrote my review of my horrid tragic experience here and then noticed they flagged my review, along with all the other bad reviews they got on this site. (More bad than good). The only thing you can see is the "good reviews", but I'm gonna help you guys out... at the bottom of the page, when you scroll to the last comment, in the bottom left corner it says "flagged reviews", please do yourselves a favor and read those, including my own that I had wrote in detail describing my horrific experience. It's bad enough when a salon cannot meet professional standards, quality and excellence in customer service, but even worse when they acknowledge the feedback they're getting, and instead of fixing the problem and addressing each of their unhappy customers with maybe a complimentary offer or a discount at something to have them come back, along with a sincere apology as any good quality running salon would do, they hide all the bad feedback they get so you guys can't see it. NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A POOR, CHEAP RUN DOWN FRAUDULENT BUSINESS that doesn't know first hand about quality, let alone how the customer service industry works. We had the worst experience! Especially I would like to talk about the terrible not professionalism of one of the hairdressers. His name is Feruz! My husband, who has worked as a stylist for 14 years, clearly explained to him how to cut it, showed him his photo, how he had been sheared before that, said that he should not take too long hair. Feruz began to look to look arrogant, saying that now will be the best hairstyle. As a result, his hair was terrible, very short and not at all what my husband explained! But we were killed the most by another fact! When they began to cut me! But I just had to cut my hair shorter! My husband clearly on my hair showed him how to cut me, but the result was not visible! Then another hairdresser came up and showed Feruz how to do it! But Feruz did not care, he continued to insist on his own and say that he cut his hair well! His colleague and my husband, persuaded him that he was wrong, but everything was useless! We're gone! Awful place and service! read more

I'm really surprised to see so many people claim this place is overpriced...in NYC I'd say if you've ever gotten your hair professionally colored anywhere and came out looking great I doubt you spent less than $100. This place SAVED and I mean SAVED me after a really fancy salon in Manhattan charged me $300 for a mucus green hair color and refused to fix it, this place fixed my hair color and did an AMAZING job. I was in tears over the botched color and couldn't even explain what my real hair color was, and Soner, the stylist, came up with a color for me that looked like I was born with it. I have gone back many times before to get hair cuts, blowouts, and color and they were amazing every time. If I told them cut only 1 inch off, they do EXACTLY like I ask. Also, every time I bring in a picture for them to copy a cut, they do it perfectly. Yes this place can be a little weird (I find that some people always dress up to come here lol!) but if you know what its about you can really enjoy it. They even serve complimentary tea or coffee while you wait. Yes, it's pretentious and not known for being super nice, but personally I've been to so MANY salons and attitude is not my number one priority and I'd say its only important in terms of whether they listened to your request adequately (which this place ALWAYS does) and if they fix it if it came out badly for you. They are really bitchy about appointments so if you randomly decide to come in and get your hair done quickly it will depend on your luck. Either way I think the pompous-ness of this place is hilarious and if you just go with their flow and go to Soner you'll love this place as much as I do. read more
