If I could give a no star review I would! Took my daughter for a normal routine wisdom teeth removal. The oral surgeon is not friendly and needs to understand that kids are nervous. What was supposed to be a normal procedure turned into multiple post ops, an I&D that didn't correct the issue, 2 ER visits that almost resulted in my daughter having to be transferred to Children's Hospital, 2 ENT visits and now a sinus surgery to clean out the infection from the gapping hole in my daughter sinuses and possibly a bone graft to close this hole by a different Oral Surgeon all because she didn't do her job. My daughter mouth is so infected because she didn't do her job properly! $2000 wasted at this office! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THERE! She should have known there was a hole when she took the tooth out! read more

O'Fallon Modern Dentistry, Front office experience left much to be desired but the high point was the behind the scene staff. Dr Albana Simoni DDS and her supporting staff were absolutely amazing. She gave me amazing attention and made sure I was comfortable with the step by step extraction procedure. Went in to get a crown replaced. The staff was pleasant and courteous and worked together as team. Dentist Dr Hallie Gulley was great. After feeling returned to my mouth (after anesthesia) I could hardly tell any work was done. The office is well equipped with some impressive modern equipment. Highly recommend. read more

WORST DENTIST EVER!!!! After jumping through hoops to get the appointment setup I was extremely disappointed in Albana Simoni. I hesitate to refer to her as "Dr". Went in for a wisdom tooth extraction, $2600! All paid upfront. I was to be sedated for the event, I am terrified of dentistry. Nurse gets me set up with heart monitor, oxygen, blood pressure monitor, fluid bag for IV. Even though we had gone over ALL of my medicines prior to appointment, the nurse went over it again along with all of my medical conditions. So this is twice we have covered the medical part. I am so terrified the whole chair was shacking. So an HOUR LATER this So called dentist walks in, picks up my chart and asks me why I was there. She then starts,once again, going over ALL of my meds and medical conditions. Then she says "Well you have Parkinsons, so you will have to go to the hospital for the extraction ". Total waste of time and money. I pulled all the wires that were attached to me off and we went to the front desk for a refund. I should have heeded the one star reviews. I had some "4"s although X-rays and everything else looked good. Was told I needed $750 cleaning (After insurance). I said I'd just stick with the regular cleaning as I did not want to pay that much and have never had any dental issues (good check ups every 6 months until I came here). They refused to do any cleaning other than the $750 one. Said if I couldn't afford a lump sum they'd work out a "payment plan". Went to another dentist- guess what they gave me a regular cleaning said the "root scaling" was just this place trying to get $$$. Also hygienist is rude and treats you like an idiot. read more

I had 2 crowns done today and left with the permanent ones.The work was done on the premises, no 2 week waiting period to come back for the permanent crowns.Dr Ani is amazing and Cindy her tech who put on the crowns did an amazing job. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They are the worst! They told my husband that he had gum disease. He has never had gum disease and is 25 years old. I had to get my wisdom teeth out by them and they took me back an hour later than my appointment time. I had excruciating pain in my mouth the following week and I was messaging the doctor, called the office and no one got back to me. The office called me back and told me the orthodontist wouldn't come in for another 2 weeks. They totally dismissed the pain I was experiencing. I will not be returning. read more

We have a DMO, its amazing for when you need major dental work. This office did not give my daughter any paperwork stating their charges for crowns, though they claim they did. Then they overcharged for my daughter's crown by over $700 and are refusing to refund it. Per my plan, they are NOT allowed to charge more than our contracted amount. They informed her that she needed 4 crowns at $1100 a crown plus fillings for a total of almost $7000. Per insurance, it should be less than $400 for the first crown, and less than $100 for each additional crown. My insurance is now involved and attempting to help us. When I tried to solve it with the Dentist's office first without involving the insurance, I was told my insurance is horrible and they won't be accepting new patients with our insurance. After contacting the insurance again, they tried for almost a half an hour to get a hold of someone in office and were told they had to leave a message. So now we wait. While in with 2 of my other kids, the office said that they needed fillings and one of them they would only refer to a pedodontics office and wouldn't do his fillings. He is too old for our insurance to cover that, and there was no reason for it. My other son, they told us also needed at least 2 crowns, for teeth with no pain or visible damage. Thankfully, I haven't them in to have that work done or I would be fighting this battle for more than one child. And now I'm questioning if they really do need all those fillings and crowns that this office recommended. read more

This has been one of the worst experiences with a dentist ever for our family. Every time one of us comes for a cleaning they try to upcharge or sell us some other "necessary" service. Appointment times constantly moved/cancelled/late. The last straw was when they forgot my daughter was in a room for 45 minutes and I thought she was having her cleaning. Staff is generally friendly, but communication on costs seems lacking. Routinely went in for cleanings or minor procedures only to be surprised by fees. Not speaking for others but I noticed other people expressing similar concerns nearly every time I sat in the waiting room. This office has a very friendly staff and early evening hours. They go over the difgerant options available and tjey make the crowns in house so you only need 1 visit. They appear to accept most insurance and are reasonably priced. 2 hours and out. Watched them make the crown while I waited. I would recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

AVOID THIS DENTIST AT ALL COST ESPECIALLY IF YOUR A DIABETIC. ALBANA SIMONI sat in a room and berated someone for 5 plus minutes about diabetes and said multiple times "your going to die" while explaining every single organ that would / could be effected by diabetes. Then in the same sentence did not even know you could check ketones at home. It was by far the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced a "doctor" do and I wasn't even the one getting talked to. Also the first "nurse" in the room treated you like you were on a factory line was VERY rude and sounded annoyed by answers. The best part is they will raise your price day of and just expect you to have extra money (potentially $2,000) extra. The patient had called the morning of and the front office had called the patient 2 times and never mentioned any extra money till signing forms in the office. I would never recommend my worst enemy visit here. I hope someone puts albana simoni in her place because the way she treats patients is absolutely foul and honestly she should honestly be reported. ALSO BEWARE THEY WILL HOLD ANY AMOUT OF MONEY POSSIBLE. The dental care was adequate I suppose. But the office staff, especially the "office manager" are clueless and useless. My wife had the first appointment but they could not run our insurance so she paid $90. I went the next day and they ran the insurance with no problem and I paid nothing. The OM typed some words into the magic box on his desk and said we would get a refund for my wife in a few weeks. Instead I got Bill from them for $90! I took the bill to the OM and he said it was not a bill. Of course I showed him that it was. I asked him to fix their F up. He tried to show me the screen of his magic box. He had done all he knew how to do and had no clue how the process works or what to do when it doesn't. I told him to keep the $90 but to quit sending me bills! I asked Robin if I provided my insurance information to run it for costs for services, if she would be able to let me know my costs for each service. She claimed she was unable to do that but she did say she had an appointment for today at 12pm and tomorrow at 8am which I accepted. After she called me back to confirm my insurance, all of a sudden she switched on me and alleged the 12pm appointment today was no longer available. I scheduled time for my son to have all of his fillings completed today. After waiting in the lobby for 35 min I was told they only had time to do half and would have to schedule time to come back another day. I explained that I scheduled time for all of the fillings and that I took off work for this appointment. They said they got behind at lunch and refused to complete the appointment as scheduled. This was my last straw. When my older daughter had her wisdom teeth out 2 months ago we were quoted about $900, on the day of the appointment we were charged $1400 and told they would send it to our med insurance as well. Dr. Palmer is hands down the best dentist I have ever met. She was courteous, professional, and very informative. She answered all of my questions and I didn't feel rushed. For the first time ever, I actually trusted a dentist! I was impressed on many levels, especially at how non-judgmental everyone was. You see, I had chugged two pots of coffee prior to my visit and couldn't locate a breath mint. On top of that, I utilized the office's Keurig machine and layered my already offensive breath with the addition of a Newman's Own decaf. The dental hygienist and Palmer remained very professional even though the odorous fog of Columbian dark roast was indisputable. Absolutely terrible service! This office and the affiliated offices change dentists and staff like most people change their socks. Several years ago I had them put a crown on a tooth. At that time I was told if the tooth needed to be adjusted or came off just come in and it would be put back on under a lifetime warranty. In fact since I had been going to one of their satellite offices for visits they had advised me to go back to the OFallon location and it would be cemented back on under warranty. Needless to say that was not the case. They wanted to charge $250 for cementing on a crown that they had previously sold and installed! I must add that also covered the " exam part". I guess when they came in and said, " It looks like the crown came off!" They call that an exam! Needless to say I told them to kiss off and left. I would rather go to a dentist that is going to honor what they promise as well as an office that isn't going to change dentists so frequently. This is a strip mall style dental office with high turnover. If you wouldn't trust Walmart with your vision then this is definitely not a place to have dental work done! read more

I scheduled an appt for 2:00pm. I arrived on time. I waited about 5-10 minutes and was told by receptionist that I needed to do an echeck in on their mychart and if I haven't set it up, I would need to do so. Mind you, the person who called to confirm this appt the previous day didn't even mention this at all. I spent around 10 minutes signing up and completing this. I was told I could sit down and do so. The next 2 minutes I am called back the desk to say I need to reschedule because I took too long to fill this out. It was 2:24pm. 510 minutes of which was them. I wasted time and gas to keep this appt. There's no reason for this. If you overscheduled, that is not the patient's problem. I have used mychart echeck in at my normal doctor's office and even if i didn't they provide time for you to do so once there if necessary. It's built into the appt. I was treated as if my time really didn't matter just theirs. Their only solution is to reschedule. read more

We moved here a little over 2 years ago. Being in the 60 something age group and having all my teeth I had some issues. Meeting Dr. King and his entire staff really did put my mind at ease. I walked in one day in pain, was taken right away. In no time I had had a root canal and crown under the same roof the same day....(TOTALLY PAINLESS). My dentist back home was my dentist forever and I was never treated so well. I have also met Dr. Shrivastava who is now my daughters dentist.
