I brought my child into Dr. Valdez's office for the first time recently after being unhappy with her previous dentist. I did go to Yelp to see what other patient's families had to say and the Yelp reviews were all great so I decided to give him a try. It did take a bit of phone tag to get the appointment scheduled, but I'm glad we were finally able to get her an appointment and fortunately it wasn't booked too far out either. They were able to get her in the following week at a time that worked for us. There is both street parking and a private lot across the street for the building, both are easy and convenient options. The office is a little hidden in the back corner of the courtyard, but overall it was easy to find. We were greeted right away and all of the staff members we had contact with were nice. This helped keep my daughter relaxed. We were taken back fairly quickly and met Dr. Valdez. Dr. Valdez was very kind and professional. He has such a nice way about him and my daughter felt comfortable and calm during his exam, X-rays and cleaning. Dr. Valdez also mentioned that he treats special needs adults, and based off of the gentle and patient way he treated my daughter, I have no doubt he treats all of his patients with the same level of care. I am so glad we found him and his office, my only regret is that we didn't find him sooner! read more

love this small family owned dentistry. Dr. Valdez is very knowledgeable and extremely great at making children of all ages feel comfortable during dental appointments. I have two young children and they both love going to the dentist because of Dr. Valdez. they're also really helpful at scheduling appointments before you leave so you don't have to worry about getting a date scheduled later. I also appreciate that they gave my kids a toothbrush, a sticker and a toy after their visit. if I had a dentist like this growing up perhaps I'd love going to the den too! read more

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Valdez and his team. Very kind, thorough, and patient with a heart of gold. My son loves when its time to go see him and has the best time while under Dr. Valdez's care. Even after he had to have multiple teeth pulled spacers and crowns put in at the age of 7 he still is eager to go. When my son had his Oral Surgery Dr. Valdez called to check in a few times that week after his procedure even on the weekend. I am so happy I went with Dr. Valdez. If you are looking for a dentist for your child, this is where you need to go. Your child is in good hands with Dr. Valdez and his team I promise! I read some reviews about not being able to get ahold of them, they are not in office some days until 1 but if you ever have to get ahold of them they have a website where you can send them a message and I always get an email back form Dr. Valdez himself. read more

Dr. Valdez is very thorough when explaining any work that needs to be done. Explains the process to my children as well, which in turn earns their trust. Never have my children been afraid to attend their dental exams and Dr. Valdez has everything to do with that. Nice staff, they don't overbook and we never have to wait when we set appointments. I was very weary of the procedure he was going to have, but Mr. Valdez gracefully and patiently listened and explained what the procedure would entail for my son. So happy to have found Dr Wilson! My daughter had a traumatic tooth injury at school resulting in a horizontal root fracture (her primary tooth was broken in half under the gums). Dr. Wilson said most dentists recommend pulling a baby tooth with that type of injury but I had read online that dentists are now days starting to opt for conservative treatment and getting positive results. Dr Wilson could tell I was hesitant to pull it so said we could wait and see what happens. A week later I reached out to her again and requested for it to be splinted. She told me to pros and cons of such a choice and I was willing to take my chances. I am VERY happy to say the splint just came off and so far so good! Her tooth is relatively stable again. Dr Wilson was beyond helpful, sweet, caring and kind. I feel very fortunate to have found a dentist who was able to help me get her conservative treatment and it looks like we may have saved her tooth! I was worried my daughter was going to be traumatized from all this but Dr Wilson is so good with kids that she wasn't even phased and does not fear the dentist. THANK YOU DR WILSON! read more

My son still continues to go to Dr. Valdez. We have such a good outcome every time. He was there when we needed him 3 years ago he's just the best with children. I will never forget us checking out 2 other children's dentist one strapped him down. I read where children are scorned by this I couldn't bare to watch. When we came across Dr. Valdez, he knows how to work with children and my son needed that as back then his speech wasn't perfect it was hard for him to articulate words and really express what he was feeling. I took my 3 year old son for his first dental check-up. Dr. Valdez was so endearing and patient with my son. I thought he was going to have a hard time but Dr. Valdez was able to make my son feel at ease. It was as if they were pals. I highly recommend him! To compare: I recently took my 7 year old daughter to KidSmiles at the Whittwood Town Center. Although in the end my child was taken care of...there were long waits and slight attitude from the dentist. Needless to say, I've found a new/better dentist for my kiddos. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Let me tell you this negative review all started because a dental assistant(Maria Espinoza) wanted to be dirty, rude, unprofessional, uncompassionate and classless. On March,26,2018 my daughter had a dental appointment. The dental assistant (Maria Espinoza) call us in and seated my daughter, asked me the reason for the visit, I told her my daughters filling didn't seal properly.(I was told by her primary dentist) The dental assistant (Maria Espinoza) proceeded to get the tools and film ready to take a x-ray but I noticed she was touching the things that she was going to put in my daughters mouth without gloves, she put gloves on after so I asked her if she can use new stuff because she was touching those without gloves. The dental assistant (Maria Espinoza) gives me a dirty look and says" her hands are clean cause she sanitized them"(I never saw her clean her hands after touching the waiting room door handle to let us in) I told her I had O.C.D and I didn't know if the dentist had let her know. The dental assistant(Maria Espinoza) proceeded to walk away and enters a side room snickering and making fun of what I asked her, she comes out wearing new gloves and takes the x-ray but by then I was already upset. When the dentist came out ( by the way it was not Dr.Valdez) I asked to speak with her to the side and I proceeded to let her know what had happen and that I would never come back here and I didn't want to go through with the services, as I was talking to the doctor, the dental assistant(Maria Espinoza) comes over to where we were talking and gives her two cents. Myself and the dental assistant(Maria Espinoza) get into a full blown argument in front of the doctor, my child, other patients and the staff. Not once does the doctor tell her to walk away, settle down or anything. The classless assistant (Maria Espinoza) tells me " I got your daughters chart not yours". My daughter starts crying and the doctor (petite blond caucasian woman) tells me I need to leave. I told her I would as soon as I get the dental assistants name but the classless dental assistant(Maria Espinoza tells me she's not going to give me her name so, after more back and forth she finally gives me her name(Maria Espinoza) and I leave with a very distraught daughter. I asked her why she was crying and she told me she was upset with the way they were treating me. My daughter was crying most of the day due to this affecting her. It has been a few days now and I would of thought DR.VALDEZ would had tried to contact me and try to make things right. I suffer from extreme anxiety and this has done a number on my mental state.
