In my two days in Temecula, I went to 7 wineries and this spot won my spot for wine selection. I didn't get to walk around much as I got a wine flight (comes with 6 custom samples). There was not one wine I did not like and I loved getting to know how each wine came into existence. This is an Italian based winery if the name didn't already give that away. You did homemade marinara sauce with small hard breadsticks as a way to cleanse your palate between glasses. Best part about this winery is that 3 other wineries are super close (fazoli,somerset, and altisima) which is a nice bonus if you want to be able to check out other places. read more

This is the ONLY restaurant that's harassed me about my service dog. We ate outside and were required to fill out and sign a form about our dog. Legally, an establishment is only allowed to ask two questions. 1. Is it a service dog? 2. What does it service? I answered both but was still told to fill out the form. I did, but didn't need to and wish I hadn't. The person that gave me the form wasn't polite at all. We won't be back, with or without our service dog. read more

This winery had a very lively environment & great staff working as well. Tasting fee was $30 and you get 5 pours. They keep tracking using poker chips which was fun. What's amazing is they let you keep your tasting glass as a souvenir which is part of the tasting! I enjoyed the variety of wines but the reds really stood out the most. There is also a restaurant here with gorgeous views. We purchased a bottle after our tasting and brought it to our food table. The spaghetti with bolognese was delicious and I highly recommend. Nice selection of red wines! My friends and I did a tasting using our SIP passports and got 5 tastes. I really enjoyed them and loved the large, openness of their tasting room. We also had lunch at the restaurant outside. The wind was blowing hard and it was pretty chilly and the heaters didn't do much to help, but they had no indoor seating available, so that was a bit of a bummer, but the food was tasty. We had the Vindemmia salad (A+), BBQ chicken pizza with gluten-sensitive crust (B), and salt and pepper fries (A). We waited in line awhile to place our order, but it came out within about 15 mins so we were really pleased. Overall positive experience and would definitely return! read more

Came on a Friday right at open at 11 and it wasn't busy but filled up by 11:30. We did a tasting to begin and you are only allowed to do tastings at the bar inside. You can only sit outside if you get a glass or bottle. I got the tasting that lets you try 4 of the standard wines and 1 of the reserve. I prefer reds and they excel at those here. A lot of interesting Italian style reds with some grapes I had not heard of. We also did lunch after the tasting and I would recommend reservations as it was already an hr or so wait by 12. We got the bbq chicken pizza and the classic margherita. The toppings were all pretty good quality, I think I just expected more from the dough. It seemed like it was a premade dough that they just put toppings on versus the handstretched wood fired dough that is really pillowy. It was a more dense dough. The pizza was a good size and you could share a pizza between two people as long as you're not starving. read more

I am really disappointed in the whole experience from beginning to the end. It was my wife and I first time out in a while since having a baby. So we wanted to do something special for Valentine's Day. We had reservation for the restaurant. And upon arrival, when we came up to the podium, there was no hostess to be found. Apparently, she was too busy chit chatting with someone else by the bar literally 3 feet away, not even acknowledging us standing there. Yet, we waited patiently hoping that she'll notice us. We were looking forward to the live music, but not to how loud it was going to be. No offense to the live performers, but this restaurant does not have the outdoor space to be blasting the speakers that loud. It's unnecessary. My advice, adjust the sound lower just so it can be background music for better ambience. It would have been nice to be able to sit inside due to the weather being colder that evening, but there was no way we were going to hear ourselves think or talk with the loud music. We decided to sit outside just so we can have a peace of mind and not be drown in all the ruckus. But unfortunately, that came with a cost as well. We were freezing. We sat in the cold until I flagged one of the staff down to get a heater which we saw were all lined up on the side. That took about 20 mins before they got it to our table. We assumed since the hostess mentioned that they can provide us a heater therefore we should be getting one. Didn't realize you still have to ask for it even though it was clearly super cold at that time. Who would have not wanted one? Literally, everyone who sat outside was asking for one. My wife recalled saying that she will like one as we were being seated. So who's to blame? Waiting for our food took a while. When we got our food, it was borderline cold. Steak was super rare when we ask for medium. When I took the steak back to address my concerns with the hostess, they took it in and probably just microwave it. I can tell because it had the same cut where I had previously cut to see if the inside was cooked to my liking. That took another 20 mins before we got it back. The whole experience was the worst experience my wife and I probably ever had. Let's not forget, they also didn't include our pizza we had asked for. But maybe that was a blessing in disguise for us to not spend anymore on this place. Ordering process was terrible. You would think it's 2025 now. Maybe use apps, QR code, or even a tablet for easy ordering experience especially if you're short staff. Be warn, there's no server to take your order once you're seated. They only come out to give you your food. You must go to the bar to put your order in. So, just imagine if your table was far away and you had to walk back just to place your order. It's so inconvenient. Luckily, we chose a table near the entrance or else, it would have been worse. Also, the payment process makes you pay ahead of time before getting the service and food. I'm sorry, I didn't know this was a fast food restaurant type of vibe. Had I known, I wouldn't have tipped 25%. Not deserving of this experience. I'm not writing this review because I want my money back or discount for any of that. I am just trying to provide constructive feedback. There is just way too much competition out here in Temecula, especially in the wine country for a business like this to have such poor management. This winery was beautiful! I really enjoyed having lunch and wine here. I definitely recommend making reservations. They were fully booked on a Saturday. They are following all covid regulations. The host was super friendly and walked us to our table. At our table we were able to take our mask off and order. They had tasting flights and we got the red one and dry whites. They were amazing! My favorite was the 2019 Viognier and 2029 Vermentino. Super refreshing too! For lunch we had the their gluten free pizza that was really yummy! And we order a salad as well! Super good and the portion was perfect to share! I definitely recommend eating here. They had great service! The staff were helpful and friendly. We got there within minutes from 5pm and the waitress was not happy about us ordering our food. When the food did arrive pizza was cold as well as pasta, however the wine was 5*! Just went back to Robert Renzoni for the fourth time in recent years. As always, the wines are great- a lot to like across the board. The true standout was our server- Sabina. She was, by far, the most engaged, friendly and passionate server I have experienced in over 50 years of wine tasting. She is clearly proud of what she is pouring, and it shows. Because of her, our Renzoni experience became one to remember- truly setting the bar to a level that others can only hope to meet. (Quite a difference to others we had on our trip, who were zombie-like, with nothing to offer other than pouring wine into a glass and looking disinterested.) I experienced a very unpleasant wine club membership at this establishment. My credit card information was not kept confidential and they attached my credit card to an unknown person who made several purchases from their store. Refunded after I called them and they discovered their error. I was told that I was "misinformed" by the server regarding the details of my membership. After several calls to resolve, the manager was condescending and disrespectful, stating that yes she had received my "long" email. With all of the beautiful wineries around here I would avoid this one. read more

I've been wanting to try the pizza here for a while now, but even though I live close by it's usually too busy to bother going to wine country. The service and ambiance were ok, nothing great. There are 2 smaller parking lots and a small restroom at the entrance of the property. This is a small but still pretty winery. The pizza was ok, not that great to where I will go back. Omgoodness!!! Where do I begin.. The drive up Was beautiful! The grounds in spring are breathtaking... my hubby bought us wine tasting at the tasting room. Our wine consultant was amazing. Her name was Terra...so much fun...Took us through each tasting and informed us about fun facts. Absolutely love this place. It's a must stop when in Temecula. The views are beautiful and the winery is spacious. Lots of seating for the tasting area and the restaurant. Been a member for years, but today really was a disappointment. Understaffed for amount of people, but the shuttle driver is basically useless. We parked near the top of the hill. He was picking up 2 people. He did not wait for us or the other couple who had just parked, the shuttle seats 8 or mote and there were only 2 people. He also did not come back to top of hill to pick us up. We stayed for about an hour. When we went outside to take shuttle up and waited for 10 minutes, he was just sitting on the hill on his phone. We walked he did not notice us until we were near the top, then bothered himself. My wife took the shuttle the rest of the way, I walked. I will be asking my wife to cancel membership. But it will be her decision. I would recommend Renzoni make shuttle driver put phones away while working. This will cost you customers. read more

I really really love this place! I'm local and come often as a member. I've had many many wine club memberships living in the area, so lots of comparisons. What makes Renzoni's stand out from the rest? The food and the family atmosphere. I can bring my kids after school for a snack and gelato or come hang out with my husband just him and I and it's always a vibe. My whole household loves it. Yes there are rules and limitations just like any other winery, so for those that are nay sayers, I don't know what you expect, self entitled behavior doesn't get you anywhere. I love the staff. All the younger hostesses and bussers really hustle to keep things tidy and they are so appreciative of your generosity...I tip very well, but that's because they look out for me and I look out for them. Good work doesn't go unnoticed. Let's talk wine! I can honestly say that I absolutely LOVE every single red they have! How many wineries can you say that about! It's unheard of. I was reluctant to make this post because I don't want my reds to sell out or it to get too busy for me, but they deserve the credit. If you are visiting, just remember, the wineries are owned by people of the community and the employees are people of the community. They're not franchises, their peoples livelihoods. Enjoy the wine. Enjoy the beauty of our amazing valley. But remember that your once and a great blue moon visit means the world to these owners and it's more than just a tour. The management at this place is unprofessional not only the management but also the staff We came with a service dog filled out their form that asks for the personal health issue. Fine, we filled out the form and sat outside. Then a lady in management came out and said the dog couldn't be on the lap, okay fine. One of my besties and I decided it was time to try Mama Rosa's Trattoria at Robert Renzoni Vineyards. We had a couple of appetizers and some Prosecco. Wow!!! We were pleasantly surprised and are planning to come back to try out more items on their menu. We both liked the Prosecco so we went to the tasting room after lunch to purchase a couple bottles. While we were making our purchase Brian had us try a couple reds. OMG! I told Brian that I'd be bringing my husband back for a couple of tastings. Yep, you guessed it, I talked my husband into going to RR for wine tastings the next day. Brian is a hoot and full of knowledge. We came home with four bottles and joined their wine club!! Honestly the service was so bad but we made the most of it.... First the tasting, our lady didn't smile at all, no offer of water or snacks, we had a reservation for 6, it's a standing tasting, but our area at the bar would only allow for 2, so we were triple stacked, very uncomfortable. My friends were in a spendy mood and bought lots of wine regardless.... 3 became members and 1 was an existing member (even though our tasting lady was so mug face the entire time, eventually she cracked a smile at the end) This was one of our first stops throughout our 8 wineries).... However most regretted becoming members and buying so much afterwards due to the experience (especially compared to the other wineries we went to.... Initially we thought it was just a Temecula/employee shortage but nope.... It's a Renzoni problem.... All 7 other wineries had excellent service). Second we had reservations for dinner.... No-one working in the restaurant area is happy to work there.... The process was to go up and order food from the bar and they bring your food out... ok... pretty easy.... BUT I'm allergic to wheat so I ordered the cauliflower toast (very firm I added to order because 1 I have an allergy and 2 I'm hungry)with our $300 plus order of food and drinks.... When our food arrived I asked about the toast and the waiter brought over the manager and the manager asked to see my receipt, after reviewing he said it's not on the order and I would have to back in line to order it (it was 10 people deep and my Hot food was in front of me), very sad especially since he could see we had over 30 bottles of wine stacked around our table (not a very good visual manager). Not only that the salad which is very large came with 1 oz of dressing when asked for more the waiter said we have to charge you (that's ok, but if your going to serve large salads family style have enough dressing to cover the salad), by the way you gotta go back in line to order it (really poor way to handle food once it's at your table). No one assisting with carrying all the wine we bought.... Now the wine was good, the wine membership was great, food was good, the sauce was great, the Gluten free raviolis were great. Drink-able wine - they have a good sangiovese and related blends. Also some sweeter wines. My wife and I are giving a poor review because of our experience relative to neighboring wineries. The tasting is 30 per person, and when we offered to join the club, they refused to waive the tasting fee. Instead, they said it was standard practice in the area to not waive tasting fees for new club members. However, it's not our first glass of wine. An hour prior, we had become members at Halter-Temecula, and they waived our fees. We have also had fees waived at their neighbors upon becoming members (Leoness, Altisima, Somerset, GBV). Lame policy - if the manager is reading, take this as a vote that your policy isn't standard practice. For wine goers, consider going to a neighbor instead. Leoness and GBV have better wines. Renzoni's Disney land Tuscany may appeal to the older crowd, but others will either enjoy the modern ambience at Altisima or Halter, or the relaxed vibe at Somerset. read more

Wow! What a beautiful place! Had to park far away because it was busy, no problem... shuttle was right there to grab us. First time here. Food was so so good. Our wine therapist Brian was top notch and made it so much fun! Ended up joining the wine club and it will be one of our regular stops now in Temecula. Probably my favorite vineyard! It is so nice inside, and the exterior of the place is so beautiful. The tastings were all so delicious, must try the moscato and the stelle a la rosa (i forgot the real names) Austin helped us and he was amazing and was very attentive! Served us little crackers and marinara as well which were to die for! there were some food choices outside, but unfortunately it was way too windy they couldn't seat us.
