We visited mid week in November on our mini wine tasting getaway. This place is like being in Tuscany. It is gorgeous. The food and wine and scenery cannot be beat. Renzoni Winery is a top notch, high quality winery with great Italian food. The Prosecco, pino Grigio and heavy reds were very good. The tasting room was spacious and elegant. The parking lot was huge with a nice shuttle bus service for visitors convenience. It's a Classy touch! Jasmine, the great wine server, knew her wines very well. She was extremely friendly, attentive knowledgeable and helpful. We loved her outstanding, kind service. We ordered food from their fantastic counter service bar. We ordered fresh, handmade Italian style pizzas and a gourmet salad with hearts of artichokes. It was incredible! Everything was well balanced and packed with fresh flavor. We bought a bottle of wine and drank it with lunch. The scenery, the quality of wine, the service were all exceptional. Beautiful wine tasting ambiance! My only note would be that there is no seating while you are doing your wine tasting experience, so it may get daunting standing up. Chairs can be requested but the majority of folks were standing up against the bar. Each sample was delicious and we got the story behind how each wine was bottled and prepared. It was a great experience and they added a fun touch with the casino chips as your way to "redeem" your next glass which was super fitting considering we were in the Temecula area. My friends and I came here on a Sunday afternoon with reservations and were promptly seated on the patio. You order your food and drinks at the bar and the staff brings it to your table. There was a saxophonist playing music and the atmosphere was really relaxed. Our salad came out around 15 minutes after seating with the rest of the food following, even though a sign said there was a 45 minute wait, so that was a pleasant surprise. The salads are family style and the pizza had 8 slices. The food was good, as was the wine. The patio has a 2 hour time limit, which I'm sure when busy is helpful. We had been wanting to try RR for a bit, but honestly the reviews kept us away. Then yesterday because of the crowds (beautiful sunny pre-Valentines day after many days of rain), almost skipped it again... I gotta say, every single staff member we encountered handled us with warmth and grace. Never once did we feel like just part of the crowd or rushed through, so big kudos to you for excellent service! The wines - I did the 5 one oz tasting for $35. Austin did a great job finding out my tastes and making recommendations. Wasn't necessarily planning on buying, but they were all SO good that I got my favorites, the Sparkling La Rosa and the Barbera (which I didn't even think I would like!) Then we were seated in the Trattoria with a magnificent view of the ridge even though we weren't on the outer edge of the dining area. Nice live music playing but not too loud to prevent conversation; lively crowd but no obnoxious or loud behavior. We ordered the fried eggplant parmesana appetizer, the R & R pizza (truffle cream sauce, artichoke parm sausage, portobellos, mozzarella and asiago), and the Tre Salame pizza. My husband and I had a fantastic time wine tasting at Robert Renzoni Vineyards to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, there was ample parking, however it was still so busy seeing as this is a very beautiful vineyard and we did have to wait a hot minute for a wine tasting station to get open. I would highly suggest reservations for this vineyard's wine tasting as it seems like it is a great space for a lot of larger parties. The lady doing our wine tasting was very sweet and knowledgeable about the wines that she was pouring. She said she had been with Robert Renzoni for a while which I love seeing. There is also a restaurant here (we didn't get a chance to try any of the food) and there is also a separate outdoor patio where you can sit with some wine and enjoy the gorgeous views that this winery has to offer. read more

My hubby and I spent a few days in the Temecula region of So Cal and wanted to try a few new wineries looking for a new favorite regional cab or red blend. We find many reds in this region to be not as full bodied as we enjoy. Their sonata was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The vineyard is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the valley. So peaceful. Their food selections were delicious as well. We ordered the bruschetta Al prosciutto and the Julia's Fave Pizza. The bruschetta was hands down probably one of the best I've ever had. I am by no means a wine connoisseur. Laugh at me all you want, but I cannot hang for the life of me when it comes to reds and idk why, lol! I only ever drink Moscato, and I will happily try all kinds. When people say Pinot is similar, they're lying!! It just isn't anywhere close to it (says my tastebuds). Soooooo why did I come here?! Wellllll at the time, I went with a Yelper who wanted to try it out so I was game. I've only been to a handful of wineries over a span of a couple years. I really came for the food, and of course to sample any Moscatos they have on hand. Driving up, it's gorgeous. I think most wineries, if not all, look pretty. The tasting room was kind of busy when we walked in so no one really greeted us. We thought we'd let the little crowd die down and come back later so we went out to the patio for lunch at Mama Rosa's Trattoria. They did not offer a lot, but what we did order was pretty tasty. My $18 Vendemmia Salad was great, although I must admit I was jelly of the $24 Muffuletta Sandwich. That's a pricey sammie, but it's a freakin' winery so yeahhhh. I liked the Sparkling La Rosa because it was nice and fruity. You'll have a fantastic view while eating out on the patio. It would be nice if it was a full service restaurant, but it isn't. You order at the bar area, pay and take your number to an unoccupied table. That would have earned the 5th star from me. After lunch we found ourselves back in the tasting room which thankfully had thinned out. The older woman tended to us and I ended up buying a bottle of the Sparkling La Rosa. It was a quick visit but a pleasant one on a nice day. I would suggest visiting Robert Renzoni strictly for the wine, but not so much if you're hangered...or if you are, get that hefty sandwich if they still offer it. Parking here is alright. You may have to circle around during peak times, but worth it for the picturesque views! read more

A relaxing and intimate place to enjoy wine tasting. I love how they give you tokens so you can drink your wine around the gardens. The servers are highly knowledgeable in their wine offerings and menu and are very courteous. I came in here with my fiance and we spent most of our time in the outdoors area overlooking the beautiful wine county of Temecula. The Mama Rosa sandwich was an absolute masterpiece with the quality of ingredients and care put in to craft such a marvelous sandwich. This is the ONLY restaurant that's harassed me about my service dog. We ate outside and were required to fill out and sign a form about our dog. Legally, an establishment is only allowed to ask two questions. 1. Is it a service dog? 2. What does it service? I answered both but was still told to fill out the form. I did, but didn't need to and wish I hadn't. The person that gave me the form wasn't polite at all. We won't be back, with or without our service dog. read more

They have a large tasting room and if you come early, you can get a peaceful experience. Their staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely standing tasting. I have to been the tasting room here many times but it has been probably 5 years since i dined. I have always enjoyed the wine but they have really stepped up their game in the food department. My first visit, it seemed as though they sold flatbreads to help combat drunk tourists. Now the pizzas and sandwiches seem carefully curated and pride is taken in their preparation. We had a pesto chicken sandwich (which is enormous), margarita pizza 'Julia's favorite' and the R&R which is cheese, mushrooms and truffle. The pizzas had great crusts and weren't greasy at all. I am really disappointed in the whole experience from beginning to the end. It was my wife and I first time out in a while since having a baby. So we wanted to do something special for Valentine's Day. We had reservation for the restaurant. And upon arrival, when we came up to the podium, there was no hostess to be found. Apparently, she was too busy chit chatting with someone else by the bar literally 3 feet away, not even acknowledging us standing there. Yet, we waited patiently hoping that she'll notice us. We were looking forward to the live music, but not to how loud it was going to be. No offense to the live performers, but this restaurant does not have the outdoor space to be blasting the speakers that loud. It's unnecessary. My advice, adjust the sound lower just so it can be background music for better ambience. It would have been nice to be able to sit inside due to the weather being colder that evening, but there was no way we were going to hear ourselves think or talk with the loud music. We decided to sit outside just so we can have a peace of mind and not be drown in all the ruckus. But unfortunately, that came with a cost as well. We were freezing. We sat in the cold until I flagged one of the staff down to get a heater which we saw were all lined up on the side. That took about 20 mins before they got it to our table. We assumed since the hostess mentioned that they can provide us a heater therefore we should be getting one. Didn't realize you still have to ask for it even though it was clearly super cold at that time. Who would have not wanted one? Literally, everyone who sat outside was asking for one. My wife recalled saying that she will like one as we were being seated. So who's to blame? Waiting for our food took a while. When we got our food, it was borderline cold. Steak was super rare when we ask for medium. When I took the steak back to address my concerns with the hostess, they took it in and probably just microwave it. I can tell because it had the same cut where I had previously cut to see if the inside was cooked to my liking. That took another 20 mins before we got it back. The whole experience was the worst experience my wife and I probably ever had. Let's not forget, they also didn't include our pizza we had asked for. But maybe that was a blessing in disguise for us to not spend anymore on this place. Ordering process was terrible. You would think it's 2025 now. Maybe use apps, QR code, or even a tablet for easy ordering experience especially if you're short staff. Be warn, there's no server to take your order once you're seated. They only come out to give you your food. You must go to the bar to put your order in. So, just imagine if your table was far away and you had to walk back just to place your order. It's so inconvenient. Luckily, we chose a table near the entrance or else, it would have been worse. Also, the payment process makes you pay ahead of time before getting the service and food. I'm sorry, I didn't know this was a fast food restaurant type of vibe. Had I known, I wouldn't have tipped 25%. Not deserving of this experience. I'm not writing this review because I want my money back or discount for any of that. I am just trying to provide constructive feedback. There is just way too much competition out here in Temecula, especially in the wine country for a business like this to have such poor management. Please be better or this is not going to age like fine wine. read more

I really really love this place! I'm local and come often as a member. I've had many many wine club memberships living in the area, so lots of comparisons. What makes Renzoni's stand out from the rest? The food and the family atmosphere. I can bring my kids after school for a snack and gelato or come hang out with my husband just him and I and it's always a vibe. My whole household loves it. Yes there are rules and limitations just like any other winery, so for those that are nay sayers, I don't know what you expect, self entitled behavior doesn't get you anywhere. I love the staff. All the younger hostesses and bussers really hustle to keep things tidy and they are so appreciative of your generosity...I tip very well, but that's because they look out for me and I look out for them. Good work doesn't go unnoticed. Let's talk wine! I can honestly say that I absolutely LOVE every single red they have! How many wineries can you say that about! It's unheard of. I was reluctant to make this post because I don't want my reds to sell out or it to get too busy for me, but they deserve the credit. If you are visiting, just remember, the wineries are owned by people of the community and the employees are people of the community. They're not franchises, their peoples livelihoods. Enjoy the wine. My husband surprised me on our anniversary by making a reservation at this popular vineyard in Temecula. I was super excited and couldn't wait to celebrate. We first signed up for wine tasting. This costed us $30 and we were able to try a wide variety of wines. My husband and I shared one wine tasting ticket to try out different wines and figure out what we liked. I really liked the rose and my husband got a red wine variant. After wine tasting, we went to the restaurant to get some lunch. We got a table with a beautiful view of the valley and vineyard. I am a vegetarian and always ensure to go through the menu and pre select my dishes so I'm not disappointed later. I was looking forward to try the gnocchi with marinara. However, I was later told that the marinara was not vegetarian and had anchovy. I was so disappointed. During the wine tasting, the crackers were served with marinara and I had consumed the same. No one warned me that it wasn't vegetarian. Either way, I requested the server to make the gnocchi dish with a vegetarian sauce like pesto. She said that the chef does not offer modifications and my only option was mac and cheese. I was so upset. Nevertheless, I decided to give the mac and cheese a shot. The dish looked really nice. It was piping hot and had great presentation. However, it tasted very bland and lacked basic seasoning. The dish was expensive and did not live up to the hype. My husband got a pizza and he did not like it either. It was greasy and bland. The food is really expensive here so you would expect the quality to be better. Overall, I would recommend this place for the wine tasting and the views. However, the Italian food is far from authentic and I would not recommend the restaurant. I've always loved coming here with family and friends, so much, us and multiple people in our group are members here. we decided to come up for the weekend again and we traveled with our dog because on YELP it says this vineyard allows dogs! When we were walking to our table the host was so rude and blunt about our puppy not being allowed which made the whole situation worse. She said they have that on their yelp so people with service animals know they can bring their dog. WHAT! service animals are allowed everywhere regardless. TAKE DOWN THAT YOU ALLOW DOGS BEFORE PEOPLE TRAVEL WITH THEIR DOG TO COME TO YOUR VINEYARD. Not to mention our group got kicked out from our table after racking up a large tab and being put on a waiting list to wine taste. Unbelievable experience. Because of her, our Renzoni experience became one to remember- truly setting the bar to a level that others can only hope to meet. (Quite a difference to others we had on our trip, who were zombie-like, with nothing to offer other than pouring wine into a glass and looking disinterested.)
