Got it cut a week ago. High and tight.

Old school flattop skills Will be back when in the area. The shop was clean and well organized to

An old timey, traditional barber shop owned and operated by the very experienced professional who will be doing the cutting, all for less than $20 - if that's what you like, then you should come into Robert's Flat Top Shop. I first started visiting Robert with my elderly, disabled veteran father, a retired Army sergeant who suffers no fools and insists on a perfectly neat, tapered, 1950s-style man's do. Dad loves his haircuts by Robert, and Robert is unceasingly patient with my slow-moving, long-winded father. Now we also bring my 5th grader son in to see Robert for his haircuts, too. My boy loves getting his hair cut here because Robert knows how to use the clippers quickly & efficiently, without letting them overheat and burn my poor baby's sensitive skin (like some of the generalists at another place we used to frequent). Yes, it's pretty no-frills in there, and you will likely wait for your turn in the single chair, but if you care about a precise and symmetrical men's haircut that looks great for several weeks, you can't go wrong with Robert. Pro tip: Bring something to read, or otherwise entertain yourselves while you wait. Robert does offer cold bottled water and some salty snacks on the house, but if you want free beer & wine, you'll have to go to one of those hipster places.

I have been a client of Robert for over 15 years. Fair prices and good conversations.

Welcome back to one of the best barbers in town. Robert Perales formerly of "Pete's Flat Top Shop" has opened his own Barbershop and continues to work the skill that his father Pete artfully perfected for the past 20+ years that I frequented his shop. Pete is dearly missed, but it's nice to know that a great cut is available once more. I hesitantly post this because I know it wont be long before I'm waiting in line to get my tune up, but the man deserves the business! So if your tired of going to those "Gimmicky" shops, or sitting shoulder to shoulder on a couch with a bunch of dudes you don't know, get back to the roots of a great barbershop at Robert's Flat Top Shop...."Where Looking Good is Understood" once again. Viva La Flat Top Shop!!! P.S. - He's on Parmer Ln. directly across from Cody Pools

I went to Robert's dad Pete at Pete's Flat-top Shop for nearly 20 years. Once Pete closed the shop on Burnet I floated around to different barber shops around town, but nothing was the same. Thankfully I ran into Robert and found out he had his own new shop on Parmer. I got my old haircut back. If you're looking for an old school short cut, flat-top, or buzz cut, this is the place for you. It's the real deal barber shop. Don't be fooled by these chains that look like a barber shop but sit you down with a stylist formerly from Supercuts. Robert treats you like family and gives a great haircut. Just don't forget to tell 'em where you got it!

I have been around the world and I can truly tell you Robert is that very rare old school barber, that is quite simply the best second only to his Dad. Robert is an artist and he is really, really good. My name is Timothy Mark from "Timothy Mark Presents" an independent film company. And I highly recommend Robert's Flat Top Shop to anyone looking for a great haircut. Friendly. Quality, affordable

I had an absolutely terrible experience with this barber. From the moment I sat down, it felt like…read morehe was more focused on rushing me out of the chair than actually giving me a decent haircut. Before starting, I showed him photos of exactly what I wanted: a clean high bald fade. I even told him it was totally fine if he didn't want to take it all the way down to the skin if he didn't have the right tools. Instead of listening, he rushed through the entire cut and then had the nerve to tell me, "This is what you get in 30 minutes." At one point he literally showed me a timer he had set for 30 minutes like that somehow justified the quality of the haircut. Then he said if I wanted a better blend I should have booked a beard trim too, which honestly felt like a cheap upsell after already paying a ridiculously high price for the haircut itself. The result? An absolutely terrible fade with harsh lines and almost no blending. It looks nothing like the photos I showed him. For the price he charges, I expected professionalism and basic attention to detail, not to be rushed through like I was on an assembly line. To make matters worse, when he used a straight razor on the back of my neck, he actually cut me multiple times. I left with small nicks and irritation back there, which is completely unacceptable. A straight razor should be used with care, not rushed like everything else during the appointment. I walked out feeling like I had been robbed and honestly embarrassed by how bad the haircut looks. If you value your money and don't want to leave looking like an idiot with a butchered fade--and possibly with cuts on your neck--I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.
