Robert showed up the same day, diagnosed the issue in about five minutes, had the part on his truck, and fixed it like it was nothing. No upselling, no nonsense -- just old-school professionalism with real skill behind it. He explained what happened, showed me how to avoid the same problem, and even cleaned up after himself (rare these days). Robert to the rescue! I had had a freezer that had been dripping into my apartment's fridge since 2018. I had done some makeshift repairs to stop the dripping using some aluminum tape but it never really did the trick. In the past 3 weeks, the food in my fridge started to freeze so I knew that it was time to get some professional assistance. Before going through the process of trying to replace this fridge, I decided to get it assessed. That's where Robert came into the picture. The repairs included an oven ignitor coil, 2 refrigerator fans (freezer and backside) and repaired shorted wires on 2nd refrigerator. To say I am pleased is an understatement. My fridge was not cooling no matter what I tried. Robert is amazing. We called with a messed up dishwasher. Water wasn't coming into the machine, but it had also had a bad leak for a like 6 months and when the water stopped working we had to deal with it. Robert came and fixed the water problem, but realized the heater was broken too, so ordered that part, and came back later to install. After he left the second time, we realized the leak was still happening. He came back TWICE to fix it and didn't charge us either time. As an Elite Yelp Reviewer, I found Robert using Yelp and value the reviews and rating. He was able to help replace my elderly mother's refrigerator compressor and gave me an estimate over the phone. With the current pandemic, he arrived with mask, gloves, and removed his shoes upon entry of my mother's home. Quickly resolved and installed the new compressor. He cleaned the ice maker which resolve the previous noise and also aligned the freezer door to properly close suction. He accepts credit card as many are quarantined and not able to go to bank. Robert was a godsend, and a consummate professional. Our refrigerator died at 8 PM at night. I asked for a quote on Yelp, he got back to me within the hour, was at our apartment the next morning by 8 AM, and had our fridge fixed by 9 AM. A new mother, I had breastmilk in the freezer for my baby that I was incredibly concerned about losing. It was early in the pandemic, so we were worried about going out for ice, or having people into our home. He got back to us so quickly and was very reassuring. I was worried we would have to buy a new refrigerator, but it ended up being a small repair, which he explained thoroughly. He had the piece to fix it waiting in his car. A true pro. He also gave us a one-year warranty on the repair. English is not his first language, but he is an excellent communicator with English speakers. Reviews that criticize him for being short/rude are ignorant, shortsighted and don't take into account cultural differences. He told us everything we needed to know. Also, he took great precautions given the pandemic. Wore mask and gloves in late March well before it was mandated. A wise and cautious man. My fridge stopped working. I called Robert Friday at 5:15 and he agreed to come out after the service call he was on, warning me it wouldn't be till 8pm. This was great for me because I didn't want to lose all the food in my fridge! Another repair service said they couldn't come until Monday, or soonest was Saturday night, so Robert's willingness to come same-day was excellent. Robert was quickly able to determine the issue was not the compressor but a failed fan inside had allowed the coils to freeze up. He answered all my questions (I'm technically savvy) and had a replacement part in his truck. He also diagnosed why the ice-maker wasn't working without me asking, and told me there was a plug of ice in the filler tube from a leaky valve(which I had already replaced myself). The fix: let it thaw out on its own - no cost. My fridge was fixed in an hour, he accepted payment by Venmo (convenient!) and he even taught me how to remove and reinstall the freezer door so I could clean the freezer interior while all the food was already unloaded for the repair. I considered the repair cost reasonable (not a bargain, not ridiculously marked-up). Overall I'm very happy with Robert's service and based on this single repair I would use his services again. read more

Called for service of our refrigerator at 8:30am on Friday. Robert scheduled appointment to check the fridge at 3:30pm but he came in earlier than scheduled. Found out that the defrost timer will need to be replaced. He ordered the part but we are out of the house on Saturday and he said he will come in on Sunday to fix it. Robert came on Sunday as promised, he fixed the issue with fridge and all went well. Fridge is back in business. We had an issue getting water into our Samsung Fridge in our new apartment, because we bought it used from some friends and they had never used the hook-ups. The Samsung service wanted to charge us more $150 just to walk in the door. Dude Robert is a lifesaver!! My neighbor was complaining about the noise of my fridge and threatened a noise complaint... (wtf right? It's not even loud) anyways after searching the internet about causes and solutions I decided I was way over my head and decided to call someone. As I was doing this, my neighbor came up again.... this was at 1am. So I had a lot of anxiety at this point. I try to be a good neighbor and everything but this is getting ridiculous. Anyways, I contact Robert they yelp at 2 am and he responded in 5 minutes!! None of the other people that yelp sent the request to responded and understandable as it's 2am. Anyways he tells me he will come the next day as I say it's urgent and I need a solution. He come through and is very knowledgeable and personable. He walks me through all the tests he does and tells me it's in good shape. He gives it a tune up, and cleans the fridge to keep the condenser in good shape! (A new condenser is like 400 bucks on amazon btw) He even gives me a longer water line for my fridge because it's really short for free. Really nice guy. Def recommend. So Robert comes to my house to check my Whirlpool Ice Maker, which stopped making ice all of a sudden. First he advises my husband that Whirlpool is not a good brand....(well I did not ask you all of that) he said the ice maker is no good and sold us a new one for $250.00, say it will start making ice in a couple of hours. The first time I Hired Robert it was to repair the freezer drawer in my Viking refrigerator. He repaired the major problem successfully, and I was satisfied overall, although he forgot to reinstall our icemaker. The second time we had him out was for our malfunctioning Viking dishwasher. This time he took a very long time to order the part for the repair, then botched the job. After spending almost $600 total to repair the dishwasher, the machine stopped working again about five minutes after Robert left! To my surprise, Robert was dodgy about when he would arrive for follow up appointments for which he never appeared despite the 30 warranty on labor listed on our receipt. Eventually, after weeks of asking him to return to fix his mistake, he started ignoring my messages and calls completely! I finally decided to buy a whole new dishwasher and install it myself rather than sink another $500 on repairs, only to discover that the reason the original stopped working is that he installed the supply line incorrectly, damaging it in the process.
