We realized my prior technician hadnt reset my laundry accordion doors properly, and the prior tech had forgotten to turn the gas back on. Ray ran multiple cycles and diagnosed a faulty ignition- sometimes on/off. After it was all done, he cleaned up and attached my door back in place. I called a few places but chose Prime Repair because they quoted me a reasonable fee on the phone, excluding parts. Other places I called wouldn't even offer me a ballpark quote. I appreciated that up front honesty on the phone, and the repair technician John who showed up was a good reflection of that honesty. He came to fix the problem, honestly. He re-balanced the dishwasher to fix the leak, charged me the rate that was quoted over the phone, and also went the extra mile to thoroughly assess the root of the problem -- the poor installation. Unfortunately, the people who had renovated the kitchen before I had purchased the house installed a cabinet without proper materials to allow a dishwasher to be properly attached, so the dishwasher -- which was supposed to be attached on both sides, was loosely attached only on one and was basically free-standing in the cabinet. I can't thank John enough for the effort he put in -- pulling the dishwasher out more than once to not only assess the situation but to install it as best as possible given the circumstances. He also suggested a solution to this problem -- using a specialized bracket to attach the back of the dishwasher to the floor -- which is what I plan to do in the near future. And I will be calling Prime Repair to get that job done.

Furthermore, I was able to get advice from another repair company and fix the issue myself within an hour with no new parts. My dryer at the shop broke down. I called Pete at around 8PM and he picked up and I hired him because he mentioned he basically had all the parts already, which means the next morning he can swing by and fix it without ordering parts and us waiting without a dryer for who knows how long. He was punctual and gave us a 30 minutes heads up when he'd arrive. Came inside, basically pinpointed the problem pretty quickly and started to open up everything. Looks like he's been doing this a while since he basically knew where all the screws were and where everything popped out. Showed me the inside of my dryer and it was full of lint. Explained to me what probably caused it and replaced the part. Since it was opened, I asked him to clean everything inside. It was a small fee but since it was already open and we haven't done any maintenance in 3 years, it was due and was a small additional fee to pay. Pete took basically every part apart to vacuum all the lint that accumulated where we couldn't reach. He was in and out in about an hour. He cleaned up after himself and around the work areas so that was very much appreciated. Would recommend him again. read more
