Located reasonably close to where my in-laws live considering how large and spread out the Houston area is, Robin's Snowflake Donut & Cafe was the number one place I wanted to make sure we stopped at on our recent holiday trip. Specifically, I was interested in trying their breakfast egg rolls. In addition to the egg rolls I got a mild boudin kolache, a sausage kolache, and a strawberry cheesecake donut. The egg rolls were only ok. The egg roll wrapper was very greasy and it heavily masked the flavor of cheese and egg. Sausage was the predominant flavor I could taste outside of the wrap and it was fine. The sausage kolache was more like a hot dog wrapped in a crescent roll. As someone from the Midwest who's used to eating real sausage, a hot dog was not what I was expecting when I hear/read the word sausage. Like the egg rolls it was ok, but also like the egg rolls it's not something I'd want again. I took one bite of the boudin kolache and didn't take another. The texture was too mushy. The best part of the visit was the strawberry cheesecake donut and that one thing made the stop worth it. Their donut selection isn't massive, but it seems to be what they do best as the rest of the group also loved their donuts.

Drove out to the Woodlands area and knew I had to stop by Robin's since it appeared on a Yelp top list. It's a small, unassuming donut/breakfast spot in a strip mall. Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed by Robin and allowed time to peruse what they had, even though they were close to closing. I got a few donuts and orders of all of their eggrolls. The donuts were awesome as they have Asian flavors like coconut pandan and ube but also traditional ones. I loved the coconut pandan cake donut and I'm not usually a cake donut person. What really won me over were the eggrolls, its ingenious to use eggrolls as a vessel for "breakfast" and various other fillings. Kolaches may reign as the supreme breakfast to go in Houston but these eggrolls are my number one. If I lived closer, I'd be there daily. My personal favorite was the boudin eggroll, such a great flavorful sausage filling with some creamy melty cheese and all wrapped in a crisp eggroll shell. You have to wait a bit for the eggrolls as they're made to order but that just makes them all the better. This is, to me, def a destination food spot and for those willing to drive for food (and early since they close at noon) make the time and effort to do so!

We learned about Robin's Snowflake Donuts from a Yelp list of the best donut shops in Texas. When we were exploring northern Houston suburbs on our way to The Woodlands, it was the perfect opportunity to make our way to their shop. Upon arriving, you'll notice it's in a large plaza with many other businesses and plenty of non restricted parking. It's a cute little shop on the inside with elevated bar stool seating on one side and tables on the other. All of their donuts are front and center in the large display case. We chose a few that looked particularly interesting in the pandan coconut, ube cake, and creme brulee. We also had to try their breakfast egg rolls partially because of novelty and partially because we needed a protein fix. In terms of the donuts, you can't go wrong with any of these three (or for that matter anything else in their case on a given day). The pandan and coconut flavors were very pronounced and the texture of the donut was superb. It was like the perfect balance of sweetness and softness. The ube cake donut was also fantastic. The crème brûlée did a great job at mimicking the crunchy topping of the dessert with a custard center. In terms of the eggrolls, please go try these as well. With their perfectly crunchy exterior, flavorful fillings, and impressive serving size, you can enjoy them as a delicious main course for breakfast or brunch. Finally, you'll feel like a member of the family or a long time friend when you stop in. The level of service we received isn't routinely matched by other businesses. It added to the positive impression we had after devouring their delicacies. We'll definitely be returning soon!

I'm fairly convinced that if I lived up in Spring that I would be a regular at Robin's because they're just that good. In fact, they're so stellar that I'm actually a little jealous I don't live in Spring (#1) or that I don't have something similar in my neck of the woods. There isn't anything I've tried here that wasn't outstanding and based on the reviews / ratings, I'm certainly not alone. Based on looks alone, it looks like an average shop in a strip mall. There is limited seating, ideal for a coffee date or a solo meal. Takeout is what most folks are doing. Stick around long enough and one will always see a flurry of people going in and out of the place. They're coming for the same thing: excellent food and incredible customer service. Their donuts are top notch, however, it doesn't begin to scratch the surface of their fabulous offerings. Where they shine are their seasonal donuts and custom orders for special occasions. The letter donuts are popular for birthdays and are beautifully decorated. Their malasadas might be some of the best I've had outside of Hawaii, which is no small feat. Whether it's a maple bacon, cake donut, or fruity pebbles, or plain old fashioned, it's going to be a winner. The boudin / breakfast egg rolls deserve their own paragraph. Normally I scoff at fusion egg rolls but these are light, have the perfect amount of crisp and are delicious right out of the oven and when they're sitting around room temperature. Not one place can compare. This is one of the most foodgasmic businesses in Houston. Like any good Texas based donut shop, they also have kolaches and they're great. Jalapeño sausage or boudin ones are equally delectable. They also have fruit based (#2) kolaches as well and their fritters are enormous. Not enough people realize they also have a killer king cake that they serve during Mardi Gras season. All of their pastries are pretty, tasty, and very affordable. Lastly, the staff and the owners are some of the nicest people I've come across. Cambodian-owned donut shops are ubiquitous, but this has to be up there with some of the best in the country. Every time I've had their food, I'm left contemplating how much I enjoyed it for days. It sounds dramatic, but they've solidified their position as one of my favorite places to indulge. We moved to the area a few months ago and we're so happy when we discovered Robin's donuts. My husband and I always look forward to the fresh kolaches and whatever the special is of the day, while my two-year old son has literally loved everything he's eaten from there. Everything is delicious, and I have recommended it to countless neighbors and friends in the area. For my son's second birthday, we placed a custom order for donuts instead of a typical birthday cake. Not only was their communication and service incredible, the donuts were adorable and exactly what I asked for. My son clearly enjoyed them from the pictures but so did all the other kids. They made great pictures and tasted delicious! Thank you for making his special day extra sweet!!

I'm from Hawaii and am always on the look out for some yummy Hawaii treats. And this fits the ticket. We drive 40 min to get here and this is our second time here. This time I called ahead to preorder them and got a couple of them filled for my mom who just moved here from Hawaii. This was a special birthday celebration for her.

I always love supporting mom and pop shops and this one didn't disappoint. Being our first time, the staff was very patient and helpful when placing our order and offered to bring the food to our car. Now, you might be wondering why do I have to wait for donuts...well actually we were waiting for our egg rolls as they are made to order, but oh boy was it worth it! Also, the wait wasn't bad as they had a table and chairs to sit, and a cute little kids play area, so something for everyone! In terms of food, I thoroughly enjoyed everything I tasted but my favorites were the egg rolls. I've had each of the components separately like boudin and the scrambled sausage and egg mix for their breakfast egg rolls, but man was it ingenious to fry it. I am still so amazed how crispy and flaky the "egg roll" was and the fillings just as tasty, especially that breakfast one! I also thought their kolaches/klobasniky were pretty tasty and was quite surprised how light and airy the donuts were. The flavors of each of the donuts were also so tasty, especially the maple bacon one where the bacon was still crispy! If you are ever on this side of town definitely give this cute little Cambodian owned donut place a visit! Oh, and just a heads up Robin's isn't on the storefront sign, look for the sign that says Snowflake Donuts N'Cafe when pulling up to the shopping strip. I can't wait to come back to try the fritters, so bummed I didn't get to order them but yay for trying new foods next time!

Ambiance was welcoming. Kolaches were good but Donuts were not that great..The chocolate with sprinkles was good, the "gourmet" biscoff donut topping was great but the donut bread felt a little stale. The disappointing part is when she put the filled donut (in picture) next to my biscoff (in the same paper plate SIDEWAYS in a bag. They both rubbed off on the bag (the chocolate topping ) so the topping was smeared on the bag and the plate It just looks a mess and I took it out for my family and they didn't even want it anymore. I suggest putting any special topping donuts or gourmet donuts in a bag individually.

We took a slight detour based on other reviews! Was so worth it! The cinnamon roll was sweet and soft! Brisket kolache is a must. Was sweet and savory with just the right amount of spice. There was no fat on the meat and it was not dried out. We are from Baton Rouge and decided on boudin egg rolls last minute. They are made to order and worth the wait! Great customer service. My son wanted donuts to bring to school for his birthday and instead Of the usual boring glazed donuts from a larger chain I decided to surprise him with special happy birthday donuts. They make each donut individually for each letter. The HAPPY BIRTHDAY donuts were a hit! He loved them and was so excited to share this with his friends and teachers at school. This place just keeps getting better! They were good enough to stick with their regular menu, but they keep adding new items. I've tried just about every savory item on the menu, and most are ridiculously tasty. Now they've added a sausage-and-gravy kolache which is supposedly fantastic, but I can't get there before they sell out to try one! If you're looking for the best donuts in Houston, this is the spot! Just had a blackberry fritter with lots of actual blackberries in a perfectly risen dough fritter with just the right amount of frosting. The owner even saved them for me in a box as I was driving in 20 miles away. The friendliest owner and staff who will not shove your entire order in a single bag or box to save few dollars. Have you ever heard of breakfast eggrolls? I hadn't either. After I ordered a half dozen donuts I ask a couple of questions and next thing you know I am ordering eggrolls for breakfast. Let me tell you. You have not started living until you tried breakfast eggrolls. Where was I before this? Was I living under a rock? Huge thank you to Robin Nouu and her Hubby for these soft and perfectly sweet donuts. Robin was very professional and responsive to my inquiries. She communicated whenever there'd be a delay and to confirm my order details. She has such a kind demeanor and is just a great human. Their creations are the best I've tasted In particular the boudin egg rolls and brisket egg rolls and kolache. The day I picked up the donuts they had just been completed and so super fresh and smelled divine! I picked them up at 12:15 and we didn't eat them until 7:30 that evening and they were STILL soft and tasty. I came across a review about this shop's Malasadas. Robin's Snowflake is not in my area but last Sunday we had to go down to the medical center (not a good thing) and pass by it. I mentioned the malasadas (a family favorite in Hawaii) and getting some became a welcome distraction. When we left the hospital, we had a 15-minute drive to get to Robin's and they were closing in 20. On our way we called in an order of Malasadas and they were ready when we got there. This shop was such a blessing to us on that day. The owner(?) could tell the day was hard for us and was so gracious. The Malasadas were wonderful! I absolutely would recommended Robin's Snowflake donuts for the kolaches alone. They use very soft croissant-like dough and are very good to eat as is or warmed up. The kolaches come in 2 sizes, small and jumbo. The jumbo is enough to fill you up for lunch with a coffee. I personally do not like their donuts but that is because I like a donut like Krispy Creme. I already know I do not like most of their donuts, but I do like their sour cream cake donuts. They are sweet without hurting your teeth. Was excited to check this place out as it was on Houston's top 100 list. I would have certainly gave a 5 star review however I did not get to ty their coffee and I believe coffee and doughnuts go hand and hand. Although I still was highly impressed with the quality of the donuts. I went an hour before closing and my doughnuts were still fresh as ever. One of the employees was super sweet and made great recommendations helping select a sweet treat. I got the fruity pebbles doughnut which was very delicious and tasted exactly like the cereal without the milk. (I'm sure that's expected), I also tried a maple covered , a cream filled one which reminded me of a Boston cream doughnut but way better. And lastly I tried a cream cheese kolach which was my favorite! I was really fond of this pastry it was soft delight and not too heavy at all. After hearing about Robin's Snowflake Donuts from some locals, and that they made malasadas (Hawaiian style donuts), I got so excited and immediately contacted the shop to pre-order some for pickup. "Boudain Eggroll" was new to me, and as soon as I saw some pics, I knew I had to try one. After talking with the family owners, "Boudain" is of Louisiana cajun/creole descent. It's ground pork sausage mixed with rice and some other things, along with spices. I was in PROTEIN BREAKFAST HEAVEN! It's basically a deconstructed "bacon, eggs and toast" morning meal, only better flavor, and you can eat these egg rolls anytime in the freaking day to satiate your hunger. Brilliant. I want Snowflake to most to Columbus. Please? Pretty pleeeeeease?!?! Also got a sausage and bacon breakfast taco. Mmmm! The flour tortilla was packed full with egg, the perfect amount of gooey mozzarella cheese, bacon and sausage crumbles (just how I love sausage!). It's served all rolled up, which was awesome as I didn't have to worry about loose pieces or drippings. First-class flavor, no frills, just the real deal. If I lived down here, I'd frequent this joint a lot. A LOT :) They also sell fresh-made donuts. We got a classic glazed. It was not my favorite. Too sugary. No district flavor. The dough was too dense, on the dry side, and had no flavor at all. Made me regret getting the sweet breakfast treat. Oh well, you win some, you loose some. An equally impressive accolade is their name on the 2025 Michelin Guide. One more cool fact while I'm at it, they do all this working out of a trailer parked on the side of the highway! My BBQ homies and I arrived about an hour early to make sure we get everything we wanted to try as this place does sell out quick. Pro tips, bring your own seats and in our case, an umbrella for those quick spring shower. We came prepared with a cooler of adult beverages, but come to find out, we didn't even need it. This awesome place provides a huge cooler full of free beer while you wait! In the Texas sun, this is much appreciated. Right outside the trailer is where the magic happens in their huge offset and rotisserie smokers. The guys working have no issues if you want to take a closer look. Right before they opened up shop, they came around with a huge tray of brisket to sample. This got me even more excited to try the food. The staff working here were super friendly like at almost every other BBQ spot we have visited. Between everyone in our group, I think we did a pretty good job of getting almost everything on the menu minus the sandwiches or specialty items like loaded mac or brisket quesadillas. Four of us decided to go with their 'Lil Bit of Everythang!' platter which serves 5-7 people. Well it fed four of us very comfortably with leftovers to take home. This platter literally came with almost everything. We got 1/2 a pound each of brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, pork belly burnt ends, and a chicken half, plus 2 links of sausage, and 1 link of boudin and 4 sides. They give you a number and wait patiently. Your only options to eat are taking your food to go or set up shop on one of their few picnic tables. No sitting until you eat and I noticed people respect that rule and it does allow for everyone to eat comfortably. I really liked everything we tried. The brisket was tender and it had a nice bark on it which had just the right amount of seasoning. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. The pork belly burnt ends were phenomenal and one of my favorite bites. I don't know what they glazed with, but it delicious. It had a sweet and savory taste to it. Chicken is something I usually skip on, but since it was on the platter I got to try it. It was good. It was nice and juicy and full of flavor. One thing I really judge a place on is their sausage. Rosemeyer does it right! I loved the sausage here. It was packed nice and tight and had a great snap to it. We tried both the mild and jalapeno cheese and both were good. The boudin was also very good. Comparable to some of the stuff I've tried in Louisiana. They have six side offerings of which we got 5. We tried charro beans, dill potato salad, mac & cheese, and two unique items like fideo and mama's green gumbo. I personally loved all their sides. I would get all of them again. The one everyone in our group was iffy about was the green gumbo. It was full of beans which threw everyone off, but I loved the flavor profile of this. I would come back for a tub of that and put it over some rice and call it a meal. To finish off the feast, I had to get the bread pudding. If it's on a menu, odds are I am going to get it. I am so glad we did because the bread pudding here was out of this world good. Probably one of the better bread puddings I have ever had. It came out warm and maintained it's heat. They also added these tasty candied pecans that was a perfect compliment to the custardy bread concoction. A scoop of vanilla ice cream would have been gold on top. Speaking of ice cream, they are supposed to have some amazing homemade ice cream here and the flavors rotate. How many BBQ dudes do you know that do that? We were full, but I will try it next time. Overall, Rosemeyer has moved to my top 5. This place was so so good. It's far from where I live but still very drivable when the craving hits. I will most definitely be back.

It was plenty of food. The chicken salad did need some additional seasoning. The pasta salad was good. The potato salad only tasted like pickles. I thought it was really funny that the waitress claimed that it was a German potato salad with it was most definitely not. One thing that really bothered me was that one waitress took my card yet another brought it back out. This really concerns me when there is transfer of that personally.

Oh man, if you're looking for a donut shop that is clean, has fresh donuts daily so you're not eating yesterday's unsold inventory...come here. I highly recommended the boudain and the brisket egg rolls, or the brisket kolaches inside of a homemade Hawaiian roll if you are looking for something savory. Or the apple fritters or cinnamon twists if you want something sweet. They also make personalized letter donuts for that "Happy birthday or Congratulations " event upon request. The prices are great but the staff is just amazing! They are a very sweet family who makes you feel like you came over for family breakfast when you come in. Please come by and check them out. I'm so relieved that this establishment is open. Their support was fantastic and they were really on top of things. I never had to call for a refill or more side dishes because they were always available when I needed them! If you're in the neighborhood and craving for delicious food, pay them a visit. This is my favorite donut shop in the area. The Boudain egg rolls are a must try. The apple fritters are amazing! Overall the selection is the biggest and best.
