Trashy. They had inappropriate music videos on the TV when I went in with my daughter. They have lunch items on the menu, but close at noon. Not going back. In response: I went to this place for an eggroll as it had been recommended to me by a friend (who hasn't been there in over two years... should've taken that as a clue now that I think of it). I have not ever considered an eggroll a breakfast item, but maybe that's just me, fair enough. If this place is only open until noon, so be it, that doesn't change that I find it a bit ridiculous. Walking in after another woman I did recognize that they were cleaning up but figured because I had taken the time to stop by, I would simply ask anyway, what harm could it do, they might have some left perhaps. Would have been nice, but I'm not offended that they didn't have what I was interested in trying. That's totally fine, it's my mistake that I thought it might be worth the try. As for the music video, it was extremely inappropriate, it was NOT country music. That was hip hop or rap. Women dancing provocatively and grinding all over a man, twerking and whatnot. If it was an ad it was quite long... I don't know though, I did grow up in the 90's/early 2000's seeing MTV and I am quite certain what I saw playing was a full music video... but in either case, it was inappropriate. Perhaps if you're aware of that maybe choose better going forward? Or lock your doors when you close if you want to choose such content after closing. Had that gone well in any way, I would certainly try again another time, as it is, no I will definitely not be returning. I so rarely leave reviews... congratulations! read more

There is just no other place like this. Everything is delicious, but recently, Robin rolled out "malasadas" donuts, which are a different texture than regular donuts, but they are absolutely the best donut I've ever had. I had chocolate filled - just delicious. My son doesn't want any other kolaches except for Robin's, and we're all addicted to the brisket egg rolls. Everything is amazing. And the staff is also 5 star - always friendly, always courteous, and always efficient. So happy to see this family owned business thriving - they deserve it. read more

I stopped over at Snowflake Donuts N' Cafe yesterday for the first time. I ordered a chocolate glazed donut and breakfast egg roll (egg, sausage, and cheese). The donut was very good but the breakfast egg roll was AMAZING! I have never had a breakfast egg roll but this was incredible. (They also serve an egg, bacon, and cheese version.) They make them up fresh to order so you do have to wait a few minutes to get one, but I think they are worth it. (My wait was about 15-20 minutes, so not bad at all.) The glazed donut was also very good, but the egg rolls will have me coming back for sure. As others have noted, this is a very small family run business. If they are busy you might have to wait a few minutes; this isn't Dunkin Donuts. But I like to support small businesses so no complaints from me. My only wish is that they carried either fountain soda or offered ice for soda. Currently they only offer refrigerated bottles and cans and I like ice with my soda. read more

I hate when I come across an awesome little loca spot in the Houston area because I want to review it but I also DON'T WANT IT TO BE TAKEN OVER by dbags and then bought out and turned into a Ruggles color. Short and sweet Only had the boudin egg roll and a cake donut. Both were awesome. The boudin egg roll (made with DJ's spicy boudin) was crispy and hot and unadorned by any fancy sauce and served plainly and cut into four pieces on the bias. It was perfect. I should've ordered two. The cake donut was every cake donut's idea of itself. It was sweet and even slllllllightly sticky on the outside, chewy and perfect inside, dense enough to stand up to coffee even. Perfect. The owner (maybe? I think?) talked to us all friendly-like and suggested some local businesses. Always awesome. We will be back. But please don't blow up our spot. Maybe I shouldn't leave this review? *********** Updated - we went back this morning to try new items and see them at a different time. 9 AM on a Friday and they weren't too terribly busy, good news for us. The cinnamon roll was almost perfect. 9/10. The texture was hard to believe - slightly crispy exterior and very nicely chewy interior. The flavor was not too sweet which is perfect for me. I love the breading around the kolaches is so soft. Their chocolate donuts was so fresh, hence why it lasted 2.5 seconds in my hand and why this post doesn't have a picture. I also ordered their breakfast egg rolls which are made to order, so it's gonna be fresh. Love that. Great customer service! read more

My husband ate half dozen glazed donuts, although he did not comment whether he liked them more or less than Shipley's, his silence was a good thing! The breakfast egg rolls were different and pretty good, followed by brisket egg rolls, and lastly boudin egg rolls (least favorite). My order was fairly quick and kitchen items brought to my car in less than 10 min of placing order. I spent about $20 and literally ate my items for all my meals this day. Lovely little donut shop, found it when we were searching for maple bacon donut specifically. We have to drive quite a bit to get to them but it's worth it. The owner and her son are lovely people. They have this boudin spring roll and breakfast egg spring roll that's to die for. Best to call in if you are ordering the spring rolls because it takes a while to prepare. One star was taken away because when we called in to order the spring rolls, we also asked for maple bacon donut, the cashier (perhaps new) tried to up sell the bacon apple fritter donut that cost more by telling us that the regular ones were out. When we went to pick up, there were plenty of the regular ones. It's really not about the money, but leave a less desirable impression. 5/20/21 - in response to your reply, Robin, our review was based on one weekend when we visited, not the day of our review. This was not a criticism but rather for you to talk to your staff. It was busy when we went in and we don't feel it's appropriate to address that in front of your other customers. read more

I saw this establishment on Yelp's top list so guess what... here I come. Took a drive from home probably about 25 minutes to get there. Decided late so I was trying desperately to get there before they closed at noon. Arrived at 11:53 am....This is the time when most establishments would have thrown in the towel and closed the curtains, but they hadn't. I was warmly greeted by a young lady and young man as if they had just opened for the day. Enough about them I came for the egg rolls. Weird choice for breakfast, but they were incredible.
