We had such an amazing fall experience! The donuts were to die for as was the apple cider caramel apples, the maze, petting zoo and the list goes on and on

Stopped in for the first time today and had si much fun. We really enjoyed picking cherries and loved eating them after even more. They were delicious and well priced. We checked out the gift shop while we were here which was very cute as well. The sweet treats looked amazing, especially the donuts, which we will go back to try very soon! It's the perfect place for a family adventure.

Step back in time and have simple food, ice cream, donuts and everything apple. People are very friendly and dining is very relaxed. Afterwards tour the apple farm and winery.

We were looking for a weekend fall activity and many people recommended Robinette's. My daughters and I arrived and started walking up- but didn't know where to go. There were a couple lines here and there and hardly any signage to guide visitors. So we went around the building towards the trees hoping to find info about the u-pick apples, and again, no signage. (If there was any, it wasn't obvious- we didn't see it) We chalked it up to thinking apple picking was done, so we followed the people and went inside the store. Lots of cute treats. We picked up a quart of apple cider and a couple things and went to the register. Apparently THIS is where you get your u-pick bag for $25 and then you're told which field to go to. While tempted, I didn't think we needed $25 worth of apples. (You can buy smaller bags of packaged fresh apples in the store) As we were leaving, we saw the horse drawn carts and walked over to see how to get on them. I saw a QR code hanging near the line, but it was to use for the next day; we had to fall back in the long line at the gift shop to buy a horse cart pass...needless to say, we ended up going home. Clear signage, or maybe maps would be super helpful for visitors who are unfamiliar with the place. However, I will say that I regret not buying the gallon of cider. It is the best I've ever had!! I'm definitely coming back for the cider and maybe the donuts if the line is shorter.

    Hayrides

Robinette's never disappoints for a fall harvest outing. The variety of services & activities makes the wait time in line for fresh donuts and cider bearable. You can order the tickets for the hayride around the orchard online and have the little ones visit the petting Zoo, ride a pony or jump on the enormous inflated pillow to their heart's desire until your departure time. Be prepared to spend more than the prices listed online as they don't reflect recent hikes.

This place was super cute!! I really loved it and would come back. We went on a weekday afternoon and there was already a line there. Plenty of parking there though. We got some chocolate glazed and apple cider donuts and there were nice and fluffy! I really loved the chocolate glazed ones (I love chocolate). Fun and soft texture, not too sweet - perfect for me! We also got the hot apple cider which was really good and not too sweet as well. The workers there were all super nice and sweet! I'd come back here again. I'm on their website right now and it looks like there are many activities for kids (or fun loving adults) to do - apple picking, hayrides, wine tasting (not for kids), and corn mazes. So plenty to do - something I want to try the next time I am here.

I just want to remind everyone that as of this review on September 19, it's still officially summer! It seems like so many people love fall, but summer is my favorite so it's sad to see it come to an end. That said, I think this is the optimal time to check out places like Robinette's since the weather is usually still nice and the crowds might be a bit smaller. Nate and I went on a spur of the moment drive to Robinette's recently. There's lots to do at Robinette's. I saw a "bounce pillow" for kids, which is a big inflatable jumping pad. They also have horse drawn hayrides, u-pick apples, a winery with wine tasting, multiple retail areas, nature trails for walking/running and mountain biking, corn maze, and a petting zoo. Some of the activities are only available on weekends and seasonally, but Robinette's is open year round. It's free to visit, but most everything has an additional charge. I was interested in checking out the u-pick option, but they were only offering picking of one variety of apple that isn't my favorite. That's okay because they had a bunch of different varieties inside the apple haus, including a lot I'd never heard of. I found my new favorite apple at Robinette's - the SweeTango! We also got another half peck of apples, a small jug of apple cider, a cider slushie, and a cinnamon sugar donut. The lines moved quickly and the employees we interacted with were all friendly. They have a lunch counter and a snack bar that offer more food items during the day. I wanted to see the area where they do the wine tasting to check out a menu of their wine offerings, but it looked like you had to pay to even enter that building and there was a bit of a line, so we skipped it this time. Overall Robinette's is more of the traditional, old-school orchard that I remember from my youth. Definitely worth a visit! I'd be interested in the hayride as it's a horse-drawn hayride vs. a tractor, so their offering is a little more unique. At $12 per adult the hayride seems a bit pricey. We were there about an hour before they closed and I was surprised at how many things were already being packed up at that time. Be sure to get there early if you want to see everything!

The cider and donuts are supreme. But a 45 minute line is cray A more efficient system is needed. Great pastries and reasonable prices on cider and donuts. Nice free petting zoo. Great family outing just expect waiting on the weekends.

Came here for a fun outing with the bestie girls and their significant others. The doughnuts and cider were delicious! The doughnuts were fresh and warm and I could've eaten a whole dozen and been content to be in a warm, cinnamon sugary doughnut coma! Pushing a stroller around was a little crowded, and the lines were very long, but we had a fun time! It's a popular place! They have a kids play area, and the wine barn, gift shop, and bakery/market building. We didn't go in the corn maze because it wasn't worth $10 a person for us. But it was still a fun time!

    So many choices!

After living overseas for two years, our kids still remembered and begged for Robinette's doughnuts. So, we had to get some doughnuts Robinette's also has so much more: u-pick fruit, play area for kids, shopping, winery, general store. This place is quintessential small town country store but conveniently located close to Grand Rapids. The cherry on top is the staff are always so sweet. It doesn't get better than Robinette's.

Such a cute place to explore! The fresh pressed apple juice is to die for. The donuts are fresh and delicious! Family friendly and quaint. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Such a treat in the Grand Rapids area. Spending the morning or afternoon here with friends or family is such a magical experience. The sheriff is there, every weekend, controlling traffic for this extremely popular winery. You will find a massive bounce platform for children, corn maze, horse and carriage rides, shopping, apple picking and a wine cellar with wine tasting. We spent for a couple hours, on a Saturday, to drink cider, and walk through their shops. We waited in their donut line to eat some of the best cinnamon/sugar donuts. We wanted to try the wine but we ran out of time after deciding to get donuts. Expect a wait on the weekends for donuts. Line is always 50+ people. Our favorite thing we encountered was the service. Every employee was so nice, and made our experience wonderful. If you're planning on going make sure you have plenty of time. Well worth the visit.

Went here for cherry picking. I went early enough that there were still tons of giant, sweet cherries available. In season is really only about a week, so the window to pick is actually quite short. Stop by if you happen to be in the area during cherry picking season. Their cherries compete with the best from supermarkets. Pros: not crowded, inexpensive, friendly people Cons: not a big place overall

Ask the Community - Robinette's Apple Haus & Winery

Is there apple picking or do you just buy them?

Thanks for asking! Our last u-pick of this fall will be this Saturday starting around 10:00 am. We will continue to pick as long as the apples last. We also have them already picked for purchase.

Does Robinette's have a pumpkin patch too?

Good question! We do not have a pumpkin patch - we do sell pumpkins, however.

Being from SW Michigan where we can get to about 50 wineries in less than 40 minutes, I wasn't expecting Cascade Winery to be in an industrial type complex. Our pourer was the son of the owner. He was very knowledgeable and fun to speak with. We tried all the reds, a few whites, and a specialty wine. They were all very good. Cascade Winery doesn't grow their own grapes. A good portion come from Michigan and others come from California. The winery is also known as the Jaden James Brewery. I'm gluten free, so the beers were a no-go, but I did enjoy a nice selection of wine (the red blend was my favorite) and hard ciders (a mix of raspberry and strawberry was nice and mellow, but the blueberry hard cider was great as well). We also were able to try the jalapeño wine. Not what I was expecting, but a great experience and a new taste! The atmosphere here is nice and down to earth. As I was reading the Michigan BrewTrail magazine I ran across their advertisement page, and was confused that it had a Grand Rapids address so It prompted me to do a little research. After a deep dive I found out that they are a farm/farmers market and a restaurant, cider/winery. If you Yelp search you won't find their restaurant, cider/winery because it pops up as Ed Dunneback and Girls Farm Market. This new Pink Barrel Cellars page should help separate this from just a farmers market, and help highlight some of their amazing food and drink. I went on their last day of live music according to their online schedule. When I showed up the parking lot was full and there was well over 100 people there. If you go inside you will immediately notice that this place is so much more than a farmers market. In the back they have a bar serving some amazing ales, seltzers, stouts, ciders, and wine by the glass. In the middle they have fresh donuts, wine by the bottle, fresh fruits and vegetables for sale. Near the front they have a food stand. All the employees were spectacular and very informative. I had many questions, and they were all very Knowledgeable. Found out they have a few beers that have won national beer awards. For lunch I wound up ordering the pretzel with beer cheese, and ordered a honeycrisp ale. The shareable size of the menu isn't joking. It's very large and you're gonna want to share. I was so full after my pretzel that I couldn't even think about a second beer. The beer cheese was the BEST beer cheese I've ever eaten in my life. It was out of this world. The beer was also pretty spectacular. The beer was so good that I couldn't resist the urge to buy some wine by the bottle with the hopes it was just as good. I enjoyed everything at their outdoor seating while listening to live music. If I had gone with someone I definitely would of taken advantage of cornhole and drank wine by the glass. After eating I couldn't resist walking around the farm that had a ton of people running and smiling. In the back I observed the piggies, Eddie and Joe, napping. Also got to say hi to their pony's and goats . I walked through the orchard, and also the pick your own pumpkin patch. They have a huge slidefor the kids, and a playground. Highly recommend following this place on social media to stay up to date on menu changes, and event updates. Such an eventful Sunday afternoon. Definitely worth the visit.
