My experience with Robins Flower Shop was somewhat disappointing. I ordered a premium bouquet of flower for my girlfriend for delivery on the following day to her office. After I placed the order I realized that her birthday is in fact in 2 days and she wouldn't be in her office until then. I called the shop but they were gone for the day, so I emailed them to make sure they delay the delivery for one day. I also called the next morning but they said they had already delivered and had not seen my email. So, she was of course surprised when informed by her secretary about the flowers but my intention for her to be surprised and personally receive the bouquet instead of getting a text about it was somewhat ruined. read more

I would highly recommend Robin's for your flower needs. I pass by here every day on my way to and from work, and they consistently have gorgeous flowers. I buy a bouquet from them just about every week for my office and they are beautiful week in and week out. There is always someone that comments on the arrangements and people are always asking me where I got them, what street they are on, etc. I recently used them for my sister-in-law's baby shower because I found out they deliver. Robin was excellent to work with. She always followed up on email or phone, was very helpful with picking out the arrangements and was patient when we changed our minds on a few things. The flowers were GORGEOUS for the baby shower, they were delivered before I even got to the venue and guests were literally bickering over who got to take centerpieces home! My mother-in-law and sis-in-law were really impressed and it was well worth the money. Robin's is a small hole in the wall on the Devonshire that's been there for yeeears. It's so small I was surprised to see them come up on a search engine. I've been working in this area for 23 years and Robin's has always been a popular spot to go and get fresh flowers at a reasonable price. Hadn't been there in a while but I needed flowers to bring to a relative who had just gone through surgery. Cold and blustery day so I figured I'd just go, pick out some flowers and a vase, bring them to the hospital and put them together at the hospital sink while my niece floated overhead on morphine. The lady at Robins was awesome! She took the initiative to arrange the flowers in the vase with a small bit of water and then she wrapped the whole thing up in paper stapling it closed so that it would survive the cold and wind. She allowed me to stand inside the glass enclosement and stay warm with her while she did this. Way more than I expected. Robin's is awesome and not expensive! GO! read more

I live in the neighborhood and heard about Robin from a friend who often stops by to pick up flowers while in the financial district. Having not given much prior thought to flowers for a rehearsal dinner I was hosting at my condo on a Friday evening, I called Robin that morning and she said she'd be happy to help me out. With my only idea being that I wanted to stick with a white color palette, I brought her 5 of my vases (one of which was a very large low bowl for dining room table centerpiece) and Robin quickly got to work. For a reasonable budget (that I am certain was probably half of what the big name downtown florist might have gotten), she created five absolutely beautiful, sophisticated and creative arrangements. The large centerpiece was chock-full of hydrangea, freesia, daisies, roses and lilies- all floating in the bowl full of water. The other 4 complemented the large one and added a beautiful touch to the evening. And, best of all, she finished all of this within a couple of hours so that I did not even need to come back later in the day to pick it up. It was a pleasure to work with Robin on this last minute project and I will be back for all of my flower needs from now on! read more
