Altho Noel didn't come to repair my washing machine, he provided just the information I needed. He was so honest in telling me that parts weren't available to repair my old machine. And, by providing a picture of the machine and describing the problem he told me that IF it could be repaired, it would be major and costly, and not worth it. My dryer died yesterday. The first appliance company I called put me out for 3-4 weeks. I called Robinson's and they made out today. They were on time and knew exactly what the problem was. It is complicated to replace the heating coil in my dryer, but he made it look easy and he wasted no time. Best part was everything was explained so I understood what he was doing and why. Noel is fantastic. Avoid Fred's Appliance at all cost. Freds came out said it was a belt and pulley for my dryer. It wasn't. Then it was a switch. It wasn't. Then it was a motor, I wasn't going there . All for the reasonable price of nearly $700. This was all over a 2+ month process. Finally I told Fred's to take a flying leap. My wife called Noel and he came out next day with a motor. He looked at the dryer and surprise...... it was not the motor but a $40 thermostat. The whole thing was $187 total. My Maytag 5000 series front load dryer stopped drying and need it to be fixed ASAP! Called them on a Wednesday, Noel got back to me at the end of his day (this is typical of appliance repair people if they are busy, so don't worry if they don't get back to you right away) He said he could see me on that Friday. Not a problem since most everyone is working so hard and with this COVID-19 crap, I believe that was more than reasonable. He texed his availability and yet, he came early! Glad I work from home!! He got right to the job at hand and showed me everything was checking and it turned out to be a busted heater box. Within 10 minutes it was back up and running!! Had Noel help me fix my Frigidaire gas stove. One of the burners in our rental unit went out and we needed to get it fixed quickly. Our upright freezer became overheated and shut down thus causing me to frantically find space in our refrigerator/freezer inside the house--sadly all the food could not be saved and being that we were leaving to go out of town for the weekend we had no other option. I called Robinson's Appliance first thing Monday morning and had the pleasure of speaking with Noel, although he was completely booked until Wednesday (which we were more than ok with) he called me back a few minutes later to let me know he moved some things around and would be stopping by today! Noel stopped by early this afternoon and was nice and professional! Because we had our freezer unplugged all weekend long he couldn't really diagnose our problem from last Friday but he checked out everything he possibly could to make sure that the freezer was doing what it was supposed to and said that it sounded and looked as if it was running the way it should. The end result was that more than likely our freezer was overheated due to the high heat temps last week and also where our freezer is situated in the garage. We followed his advice of putting a small fan behind the freezer on hot days to help cool it down to avoid this from occurring again. We are very satisfied with Noel's expert knowledge and how he was able to get us worked into his schedule so promptly! read more

Our appliance repairman of over 30 years retired recently, so we needed to find a new guy. My wife was able to get Noel to come the same day. He fixed our Maytag washing machine and my wife was ecstatic about the customer service, his professional and courteous manner, and the speed in which he fixed the problem. When he was done, he showed her how to unplug the drain so that she would not need to call a repairman if it happened again. Don't trust Robinson Appliance! They say they install parts when they do not!!! Its she said he said and I was here the entire time and a computer board did not get installed!!! Two guys came in one guy worked on the back you couldn't open the door to the front of my refrigerator so the other guy went to the bathroom. When he came back out and he acted like he programed my frig. I was right behind him and saw what he did--he pushed it from 4 to 0 and back to 4. I was leaving to go on a trip the next day and did not want to complain for fear of being ripped off further. I phoned them when I got back. The conversation was not pleasant. I thought I would give them one more chance before I left this review. If you read the print at the bottom of the invoice it says "manufacturer's product warranty extending beyond this (30) days, remains the responsibility of the manufacturer parts are guaranteed for 30 days then you have to go to the manufacturer for reimbursement. I paid $219.81 for the part and a total of $331.58 so since on the invoice there was no part number, manufacturer, nothing control board is all that it said. This means I have no one to call, don't have any part numbers nothing!!! It is because it was never installed!!! I wrote a nice letter to ask for that information and also a correct address and name on the invoice as that too was incorrect. That was back on April 18th, 2018 today is May 9, 2018. As of this date they have not responded with the information. I used to like this company actually quite a lot, but since the new guy came along (I think his name is Curtis) I would not trust them!!!! read more
