They get daily turnout in large areas with lots of enrichment opportunities--hills, streams, rocks, cattle, dogs, etc. There are a few miles of well-maintained trails and tree farm roads on the property for trail riding, plus a huge indoor arena and an outdoor arena for when the weather permits it. Stalls are big (10x15), as are the individual tack closets and extra storage area. Trailer parking is free and ample. Your fellow boarders are low-key and helpful. This is NOT a show barn, and there is no trainer onsite. Part of the property also functions as an outdoor wedding venue. I haven't been to an event there, but the landscaping is incredible.

Hope's Haven offered to take Ginger back but Michael was already very attached to her. Ginger had 10 puppies 10 days after he had adopted her. Hope's Haven offered to take Ginger and the puppies back but Michael with my help for a couple of weeks, kept them for 2 months then took them to to Petco or Pet-smart, can't remember which, and Hope's Haven placed them with people or families. They sell the puppies for $200.00 each and Michael very generously let them keep the money because, of course, this money helps to cover their overhead. We kept two of the puppies, Pearl and Ruby. After a few months, my son changed jobs so his time with Ginger was going to be far less so I brought her to live with us on our five acres of natural forest of fir, maple and oak trees We already had Angus, our big lab/mastiff mix. I had already spent a lot of time with Ginger so she was very, very happy living with us and she fell in love with Angus. That was eleven years ago but sadly, our beautiful Angus died of bone cancer almost three years ago. Anyway, Hope's Haven is a great place to adopt or give very young puppies to for placement. They said they will give the puppies a bath and will not take them to the vet. Or from people who sought to have some cute 16 year old girl whimper like cute, empathetic girls do, when she hears about a pet's suffering. Dr Fammatre spends the majority of his time with his arm up a Horse's. or Cow's ass. He's an old-school vet, but boy does he know his practice. He's an absolute gem. If not for Dr. Fammatre, a few of my pets may have died. When one (if they're lucky enough) goes to Dr. Fammatre with a dog, like me, Dr. Fammatre has YOU go in too, because he understands the dog knows and trusts YOU. For someone like me, with a German Shepherd breed, that's SO GREAT. My dog would need a great deal of restraint, if I were not there. But when I am there, being as he trusts me, thre treatment is easy, and not traumatic to my dog, Buckshot. Seriously, I could care less about some minimum-wage teenie-booper making ME feel better. Dr. Fammatre is all about the animal, and he understands them. He doesn't rip you off. He KNOWS animals, and well... So far as I say, he's the best vet I've ever come across. My family got in early, right as Molalla became larger back in the late 90's. He does NOT take on new families often. This is so he can maintain his high quality of care. He's nt about getting rich. He truly loves animals. If I were to guess, I'd say more than he does people.... Then again, who doesn't? As I said, he's just one man, and he owns his land. For those of us blessed enough to have our best friends as his patients, we love him like family.... He really rocks. He's the best Vet I've ever met. To a human, his office may seem impersonal, but from the animal's standpoint, he's a saint. He's there for them, not you. He doesn't scare them or cater to YOU, while making THEM nervous. He gets stuff done before they even know what's happening. That's best for the animals, who tend to be confused & scared at Vet offices as it is. I can't recommend him any more than I do. He's top-notch. He's kept my familie's dogs alive for as long as you've ever heard of (Like Sox, my folks's 17 year old 120 lb dog) and he saved my cat's (Kitty's) life for $160.00, which included a week of in-patient kitty-catheritization, and a big bag of Vet-cat-food PLUS a whole case of Vet-approved Unirany tract wet food. Seriously, he's unbelievable. Only drawback, is that because he limits his PT. load, most reading this will not be able to get their best friends in as his patients. Keep trying though. Once you get in, you're in. And as I said, Dr. Fammatre is as good as they get, and then some.

Our little dragon princess Zarbon passed away a week ago. She was a bearded dragon and our little…read moregirl. We were - and still are - heartbroken from her passing so we knew that we had to find a well-respected crematory to handle her final needs. My husband's brother had taken his well-loved dog there upon his passing and the folks at Heavenly Wings had done a splendid job. The dog's ashes are in a beautiful urn in a cherished spot in their family room. We called and set an appointment for the same day our girl passed away. When we arrived for our appointment, we found a welcoming chapel-like entryway where we laid our girl while we made arrangements for her cremation. The staff was so sweet and thoughtful. Robin gently walked us through the process, options, cost, and when we could expect to get our girl's cremains. We picked our dragon princess's ashes up on the day we were told to expect them and they had been beautifully sealed in a lovely tin with a sympathetic note from the staff. A tiny amount of ash is locked in a beautiful necklace with a bejeweled cylinder that my husband wears around his neck now so our girl will always be close to him. When we picked up our girl's ashes, the staff members remarked how cute she was in the purple cape and wizard's hat we had clad her in when we were preparing her for her final trip, the one to Heavenly Wings Pet Cremation. These folks care and it shows. The work they do and the empathy they show for the loss felt by we who remain after our loved one's passing is sincere.
