I had been looking…read morefor a groomer that groomed one dog at a time, since my 11 year old, 5 1/2 lb teacup poodle had a rather traumatic experience at his previous groomer, his toe nail was pulled out and he bit the groomer. And since my little guy lives with and 80 year old senior in a quiet environment, the previous groomer had suggested that he might do better in a one on one situation without the activity of other dogs in the room. Reading the reviews on this website, I felt comfortable about making an appointment. And I was certainly impressed with her facility. Welcoming, clean and was greeted by a sweet, young woman making me comfortable in my decision. It was less than an hour and a half when she called and said she was done. I picked him up, made another appointment, and paid the $95.00. Upon my arrival at home, I immediately realized that something was terribly wrong. He began to quiver and shake and just wanted to be held. Then I realized his ears were swollen, bruised and bleeding. He had cuts everywhere...on the ears, belly, around the penis, and more. I immediately called her back to tell her that I wanted to cancel my next appointment and I was so disappointed with what I found upon returning home. It was at that time that she interrupted me, calling me names, telling me that I was a terrible pet owner and then I hung up the phone. I then began to call our Vet and all the Vets in town and locally to no avail I would need to wait for a cancellation. My little Bentley just wanted to be held. And that is what I did for days while he shook, he wouldn't play ball, eat, didn't want treats. Friends came and took pictures and brought him treats, more bruises were appearing and it was on June 23, 10 days after the grooming, that he woke up with an ugly sore. I called the Vet praying for a cancellation and they had just had one that morning. Our Vet saw the evidence of abuse, there was still dried blood on his ears, and he even discovered more cuts in the ear itself. The Doctor gave him a long-term antibiotic injection, 8 days of pain pills, twice a day and medication for his wounds. Today 6/26 he wanted to play ball. It is not my intention to destroy Jessie's reputation, she obviously has a following I do however, would not want another "little puppy" or his Mommy to experience a similar situation.

They do an alright job. It's super convenient but Moon our german shepherd is always really damp when I pick her up and it's a hit or miss with the proper grooming especially around the potty area where if not done properly can create a mess and the hair matted since our last grooming. Perhaps I shouldn't have asked them to please pay more attention to that area when I dropped them off. It's a bit of a mad house but I appreciated them working with us with Maggy's sensitivity to her paw being worked on.
