This cafe is very basic. I was disappointed in the salad I bought. Nothing was house made. Bag spinach. Canned beets and "fruit cup" orange segments. The croutons would be so easy to make in house. They are a deli, after all, and probably have plenty of day- old bread. Even the salad dressing tasted like slightly slimy grocery store bottled dressing. The staff isn't very welcoming. Next time I will spend my $ 11.75at a better cafe.

Quick service and cafe was cute. Food was alright, nothing special. Was recommended the Turkey Pesto panini. The chicken added to the Greek salad was a little dry and tough. I didn't enjoy the latte, pretty diluted and coffee taste was weak. Soy latte, turkey pesto panini, and Greek salad with chicken for $35.

Great quick service sandwich spot in San Leandro! The café has a small deck on the side with a charming view of lush greenery. The sandwiches are solid and made with fresh ingredients. Definitely recommend for a tasty and convenient meal.

I frequent this cafe/deli. I love to get the grilled chicken panini with extra mayo. It's so simple, but so good. I always enjoy the panini whenever I get it. They do get busy. Sometimes, I try and call to place my order and no one is able to pick up my call. The other day I came in to order and it took about 15 minutes to get my order so not bad. The sandwich ends up being a little over $15 which is expensive, especially with the size of the panini, but worth it to me. Parking can be difficult when it is lunch time as there is only street parking. Whenever I have had put coins in the meter, they never work. So I downloaded the Park Mobile App so I am able to pay through there when I stop by to pick up lunch. I have never eaten at the cafe, but they do have indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor dining is nice because of all the greenery you can enjoy while having lunch!

This Laguna owned café is the best in San Leandro hands down, I'm always so sad they're not open weekends. They're always so friendly and I love getting their carnitas torta with a Cesar salad, the carnitas are on the sweet side but it's so delicious and the Cesar salad is evenly coated with tons of parm. They have a beautiful patio/balcony you can at with beautiful views. Don't be shy to come! everything here is amazing you can never go wrong.

I've been coming here since I was a little girl. My dad used to bring me to get a sandwich then go to the small park area across the street. To this day, they have not failed me. The food is always fresh and delicious. Prices have gone up just a bit, but its understandable given the time we are in right now. Nonetheless, I do not hesitate the price because of the EXCELLENT customer service and delicious food. 10/10 recommend if you're in the area.

Family run business that knows how to make really good sandwiches. From deli style to Panini they are packed with fresh cuts of meats and bread. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating is available. One of the best places in San Leandro for really good sandwiches! Roccabs has catered several of our staff meetings, and the sandwiches always arrive well packed, fresh, and delicious. The staff is very polite and provides great customer service, which makes ordering easy and pleasant every time. Besides the sandwiches, they also offer fresh, tasty salads that are definitely worth trying. Highly recommend! read more

I started calling at 1:30p on 1/19/26 and there was no answer, however, when I googled them, the hours for today say 8am-3pm. I decided to go to Sprouts to get a salad instead. When I passed by Roccabs at 1:40pm same day, the doors were open and patrons were inside eating lunch. I continued to call and no one was answering the phones. After I finished shopping at Sprouts, I returned to my car and decided to go to Roccabs in person. I was still calling and still no one answered. I pulled up in front of the deli before 2pm and there were still patrons dining "inside" of the deli. I got out of my car and headed inside only to meet one of the employees as she was leaving and she smiled and said, "Im sorry we are closing now". I looked over at the two women who were sitting down and eating their lunch, as I was turned away. There were no hours posted on the door, and everyone behind the counter was literally standing around talking. I probably will not return based on the service. Not answering the phones, but your doors are open and you are serving patrons who were white and turning away people of color coming through the door, during normal business hours according to Google and no signs on the door indicating special hours today. All while turning away POC patrons on MLK day. Nope!!! Do better Roccab. You could have taken the time to post special hours and since you were in fact open, you could have answered the phones to let customers know you had special hours today or that you were Not open to the public. These are simple things to do. And it looks really awkward telling someone you are not open, when you have other people dining inside your establishment. read more

I stopped by Roccab's to get some work done and honestly, I'm so glad I did! The atmosphere is super homey and it literally feels like your tías are in the back cooking up quick comfort food with love. The vibe is calm, cozy, and perfect for getting some work done while enjoying good food. You can't go wrong with their paninis and mine was perfectly toasted and full of flavor. The strawberry banana smoothie hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. If I'm ever in the area again, this will definitely be my go to spot to grab a bite, relax, and get some work done. Highly recommend read more

Always fresh and made just as ordered. I usually Door Dash for convenience, but doesn't matter because it's always good and consistent. Fresh produce (always get the Turkey sandwich), bread is also always fresh. When I am in the area the staff is very welcoming. read more

It's a cute little place, with friendly service, a pretty outdoor deck, and a good vibe. I came here because I heard they made panini, and I was craving one. Most sandwich shops don't do that. The real bummer was the sandwich itself. It was turkey in name only. Paper, thin slices of mostly salt and gelatin that you can actually see through. I could've bitten through the sandwich without any teeth. If they up the quality of their meats and cheeses, this place would really shine. read more

I have tried 4 types of sandwiches and they are sooo good The torta de carnitas is really good, just missing some jalapeños, but nothing we cannot fixed. The torta is available only on Fridays if you want to try it. I also like they put good effort in layering each ingredient in orderly way. I do recommend order for catering too. This place for me is overpriced, but economy is a mess everywhere, so I don't blame them. I prefer to support this kind of local places than anything else. read more

I have been wanting to visit Roccab's for quite some time now as their salads look amazing however upon entering, I couldn't help but order a sandwich and was super glad I did! The price is on the more expensive side which is understandable given current inflation and it being a deli4 let me just say, the sandwich was worth every dollar spent. With this heat wave in the Bay, we wanted something lighter for lunch, so we ordered sandwiches from Roccab's Cafe & Deli located in Downtown SL. They're only open for breakfast and lunch, so the menu features breakfast and lunch sandwiches, paninis, salads, and an assortment of cold and hot beverages. I've wanted to try Roccab's for a while, so ordered a variety of items for us to try: Denver Breakfast Sandwich, Caprese Panini (no Basil for me), Portobello Panini, Pastrami Sandwich, and Torta of Carnitas. All were flavorful and came on either a Semifreddi's French Roll or Herb Focaccia, which we really enjoyed (well because carbs of course). Ingredients were fresh and special instructions followed (thank you!). Overall, we were happy with our meal. Solid cafe serving sandwiches and drinks. There's not a lot of parking in the area, so I parked down the block at the shopping area and walked over. They have a nice long patio in the back for outside seating. It doesn't look like it's wiped down or checked on so a star off. The torta sandwich was goodbut the meat pieces were so small, it felt like I was eating ground meat. read more

The food was delicious, I am recently plant based and ordered a panini and didn't want any cheese, the server was awesome and knowledgeable without me even asking and offered excellent substitutions! She also made me a delicious oat milk vanilla latte that I savored til the last drop. I will definitely come back to this hidden gem. The atmosphere was clean and refreshing and I was not worried one moment about the cleanliness of this place it was refreshing to visit a business that was clean and pleasant. I received excellent customer service as well. Thank you and I almost forgot the music was so good it inspired me to continue learning Spanish I should have gotten the play list!! read more

I LOVE this place! Their sandwiches are unequaled. We like to treat ourselves there and make an effort to drive to San Leandro for them. However, I only gave 4 stars because of their lack of proper communication. One, they rarely answer the phone and there's no personalized answering machine message which would be ideal to communicate to customer if they closed early or closing for certain holidays. Two, this also pertains to the website, who according to them, are open Monday - Friday, but we've come by during business hours and they are closed. We now call to check, but again, no messages, no answer. No updates on the website. If they took care of this, they would definitely be a 5 star place! read more

Roccab's Cafe is a must go to in San Leandro. Food is great and the customer service is even better. I took one of my co-workers out for lunch. He got a roast beef panini and I got a turkey w/ avocado on toasted wheat bread. It was one of the best sandwiches I ever had. This will be my new go to spot when I'm in San Leandro. read more

I've been looking for a horchata smoothie for so long ever since Costco closed their food stand and it SMACKS. so gooood. So worth it. And the Mexican wedding cookies and chocolate chip are Bomb. The prawns were so well cooked, and came in the most delicious egg & curry sauce. I loved the vegetables that came in the dish, as well. You can't go wrong with the tiger prawns, and they go so well with some jasmine rice on the side. Overall, we keep coming back for good reason! This an unknown secret in Berkeley, definitely the place to be for lunch. Morning coffee is great as well. Forget Starbucks, come here where your first encounter will definitely not be your last. Their sandwiches are mouthwatering and it is at a reasonable price. I have actually had them cater both breakfast and lunch for two of my events. All the people in attendance really enjoyed the food and it was a bargain for the amount in which we received. read more

By far one of the best sandwiches in the bay area. The atmosphere is great. You feel like all the meals are made with love. Maria (the owner) is a lovely person and will treat you wonderfully.
