Came here for dinner this has that old school diner feeling sorry didn't get to take picture of all the food, parking is ample and restaurant is nice and clean service is on point th waitress host are very customer oriented and friendly, thy took care of us table on 10, breakfast served all day. This is a staple of San Leandro.

    Taco Salad Special on Tuesdays

My wife and I always go to Elios for their Tuesday Specials. What we always order is their Taco Salad. One picture is worth a thousand words! The humongest taco shell is fried individually and the fresh ingredients are the best......lettuce, refried beans on the bottom, plenty of ground beef, cheese, olives, a nicely sliced whole half of an avocado, salsa, sour cream and upon request.... Thousand island dressing. This is only one of their specials that day. Remember to go early as they may run out. Also, the other reason why we go to Elios is because of their great Waiter named "Eli!" ........always great service and courteous and personable! Make sure you sit in his station!

I visited Elio's for the first time to make a YouTube video review of the food. Upon walking in, I really like the old school diner feel with the counter seating, the large dining areas filled with deep red upholstery booths, and bar area with flat screen tvs showing the games. The menu has a large variety of American Diner classic foods to choose from. I ended up ordering a few items: Chicken & Waffles: 8/10 Spare Ribs & Spaghetti: 8/10 Chicken Fried Steak: 9/10 ABC Burger: 8/10 The food was solid. The service and staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my experience and look forward to visiting again.

Second time here first time was during Covid. Service was ok not bad. We were seated right away. They took our order and our drinks were brought pretty quick. Omelet is good size loaded with ham and cheese. The pancakes were pretty flat and not a ton of flavor were just ok. The egg breakfast was a good size. Eggs were cooked perfect but felt like the potatoes didn't have much flavor. The mimosa flight is huge great deal but it's def a lot and made for sharing. Lots of different options for juices and brought in a pretty display. Lots of parking available and the place was busy but it didn't feel like it was too loud. Overall it's a basic breakfast place nothing extra didn't seem to have variety but it was good.

I never got the waitress' name but she was very welcoming and the food came out fast!! I ordered the Mediterranean Salad and Irish Coffee. The waitress was a young Hispanic woman who wore glasses and had her hair up in a bun. I gave her a 20% tip

We love trying out local restaurants and supporting local businesses. This place has a beautiful interior. It's great for family brunches. Came here after a 9am service from church and it was packed. Pretty popular place! We waited for 30 minutes since we were a party of 7. We had another appointment so I asked the host if we can just order to go. They tried to accommodate our group right away and got seated in 5 minutes. They have large servings of great American food! We had leftovers for lunch! Our server was efficient and nice too! We will come back here with other relatives to share the good experience and food!

We came here on a busy Sunday morning after mass. The place was packed and busy. The wait was a while but man it was worth it. It was busy, but the staff here were very friendly and accommodating. The place had a nice home, comforting feel. The food here was worth the wait. Its a diner style food with flavorful and generous servings. Also the regular coffee was good. We had the ABC omelet, breakfast burrito, and the Hawaiian omelette. .

It was a Friday night and I had a craving for prime rib. I remember seeing recent YouTube review of this place that serve prime ribs on Friday nights. So off I went though it was past 7 pm. Checking with the waitress, there was one piece remaining but was medium. Although I prefer it medium rare I was happy to have the remaining slice. The beef was nicely seasoned, it came with au jus, creamy horse rasdish, baked potatoes with sour cream and butter, and steamed vegetables. I usually eat the skit part first and it didn't disappointment and was enough for me. I finished the baked potatoes and steamed vegetables. The service, I felt spoiled with the amount of attention. That in itself was worth the visit and future visits.

I came here for an early dinner with my bf. I was looking for something light and it seems like my bf really enjoys places that have breakfast food. When we walked in, we were asked if we wanted to be seated in the front portion of the restaurant or the back. I was surprised at how much space the restaurant was - we were led to the inner back area and seated there. After looking through the menu, I decided I was more hungry that I originally thought and wanted breakfast food, too. I guess we were on the same wavelength when it comes to having breakfast for dinner! After ordering, our food came out pretty quickly. We chatted about our day and random things. The interior is very nostalgic - red booths and dated decor. It reminds me of old family restaurants - the kind where people go to on a routine basis and all the staff knows you. That seemed to be the case here as well. As we sat, ate and chatted, I noticed a lot of people who seemed to know their way around the restaurant and the staff very well. It all had a cozy feeling to it. When our food came out, it looked a lot better than the pictures represented. Overall, I enjoyed my omelette plate, especially the hash brown. As with most breakfast foods, I did have to add salt/pepper to adjust the flavor to my liking. I asked my bf how his food was and he said it was fine. Once we were done, we waited for the check. It was a nice family style restaurant - good place to get some food with a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. It was quiet and conducive to having conversations, but service can be slow at times - my bf had to grab the jam/jelly container from another table and we waited over 10 minutes for our check and to-go box. I would probably visit again as my bf seems to frequent the place.

It's family owned with a cozy feel. There aren't many restaurants in the East Bay that have this down home vibe. The menu is robust, plenty of options to choose from. Service has always been efficient/friendly. Food portion sizes are generous. Nostalgic and a great place to spend QT with family and loved ones. Note, there's a bar in the back with TVs. So, bring a date or come solo. Can't miss! Ample parking. Enjoy this one, tell them Stu sent ya! Coffee is on me - Irish Coffee that is!

I just asked Florence (Flo) and she said that they do not have egg beaters. She did say that they can do egg whites if that works though.

The energy was incredible, and you could really feel how excited everyone was to be there cheering on the team. One thing I really liked was that instead of having one giant screen, they had multiple TVs throughout the bar, making it easy to catch the game no matter where you were sitting. There was also a DJ keeping the crowd energized, playing music and hyping everyone up during the match, which added so much to the atmosphere. The bar itself was really nice, and I was honestly pleasantly surprised by how great the overall vibe was. They have a taqueria inside and even though I didn't eat on this visit, the food I saw coming out to nearby tables looked delicious, and several dishes definitely caught my eye. I'll definitely be back to try the food for myself and will update my review afterward. A heads-up that the parking lot is a little small, but there is plenty of street parking nearby, so it wasn't a problem. The space itself isn't huge, but that's part of what made the atmosphere feel lively, energetic, and welcoming. If you're looking for a great place to watch a big game, enjoy a fun crowd, and soak up an exciting sports-bar atmosphere, Frank's Sports Bar & Grill is definitely worth checking out!

Unfortunately, the service at this location seems to be a serious problem. There is one female server who is there almost every time we visit. She always looks unhappy and unapproachable, to the point where it feels uncomfortable to ask her for anything. The reason I decided to leave this review is because my baby accidentally dropped and broke a glass. I understand that breaking the glass was our fault, but no one came over to help or even check whether anyone was hurt. We ended up picking up all the broken glass ourselves. When we asked for something to clean the floor, the same server simply brought us some napkins and walked away. She did not ask if our baby or anyone else was okay, and no employee helped us clean up the broken glass. I usually judge restaurants mainly by their food and try to keep my reviews focused on that. However, I am still shocked that the staff watched us clean up broken glass in a potentially dangerous situation without offering any assistance. I understand that the restaurant is busy and doing well, but basic customer service and concern for customers' safety should still be expected. Instead of focusing only on collecting an almost mandatory tip with toast machine, I hope the staff can provide at least the minimum level of service that customers deserve.

Actually probably with out exception...the best in the Bay Area from a fast food joint. So why the 3 stars you might ask? Well.... Read on. Ok so I have heard so much hype about Smack Burgers that I was willing to drive "in traffic" 74 miles round trip to try them. It's located in a little shopping center where parking is a premium, seriously I was blessed to pull in as a guy was pulling out "the whole lot was completely full, cars were circling like vultures looking for a spot" after parking we walked in and noted the inside was simple yet orderly with with well placed signs, a very simple clear and concise menu, tables that were all clean a TV to watch the soccer game " I thought that was very unique for a fast food restaurant, and a soda machine. Fast food but with a take your time and stay a while attitude. 5 stars for the set up! Our server was great! I wanted to order a breakfast burrito along with my hamburger because I've herd so much about the Burrito's but unfortunately for me I was about an hour too late... "sad face" as they only serve them until noon. I think she felt sorry for me because she gave wifey a free drink. Anyways she gets 5 stars. I ordered: A strawberry lemonade. A 1/2 onion ring, 1/2 waffle fries tray. A Smack burger with lettuce and tomato, no pickle. The run down: The strawberry lemonade: IMO mediocre at best. Solid 2.5 stars it did have a strawberry flavor but had a funky aftertaste. The Onion rings: Meh 1.5 stars tops. While they were crispy and not oily they had a tiny flavor to them and honestly they just were not good. "Even their ranch dressing could not help the nasty aftertaste" The waffle fries: I'd give them a solid 3 stars while they are not the best fries I've ever had.... I found myself reaching back for more, the spice on them was also very good. I only wish that they had ketchup to put on them. (I didn't ask and I didn't see any, maybe I needed to ask?) The burger: this is the best part! People come here for their burgers!! With 2 three oz. perfectly seasoned patties, tons of grilled onions, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and their sauce They are simply amazing! How amazing you ask? Well after eating the above menu items "and they give you a lot of food mind you" I ordered one to take home with me, no joke, I really did, they are that freakin good. Bottom line: #1.Their prices are reasonable for today's crazy high food costs #2. Is it worth driving 74miles just for their burgers and nothing else? You know it just might be.

I love the New Orleans food scene and therefore had a pretty high bar for Cajun food outside of Louisiana. I came in a little hesitant because I've been disappointed too many times by the options we have in the bay for Cajun food. But after I opened the box and took my first bite of that blackened shrimp Po Boy I could've sworn I thought I was sitting in the French Quarter again. The nice young lady that took my order recommended the blackened shrimp as an underrated choice on the po boys so I had to try it out. I came stuffed with a Red wine coleslaw, tomatoes, pickle slices and a drizzle of their special sauce (that I can only describe as spicy cajun mayo). 12/10 and I'm not exaggerating I also had a side (and when I say side take it with a grain of salt cause this feeds like 3 people for being a side) of the fresh Crab fries. Not overdone with the ingredients yet what a powerful hit of flavor, the Cajun seasoning usually comes out a bit salty on fries but these guys figured out how to balance it with the fresh shredded crab on top, garnished off with some green onion and more special sauce, this thing made me look around the room to see if anyone else was reacting like this over the food. (And they were! People were sitting there talking about "last time I tried ___ and ___ and it was fire") In the end I saw a guy that looked very proud to be there and was helping around the place while running back to his computer, that was Brett, the owner. I had to go and shake the man's hand and pick his mind a bit. He's a born and raised in New Orleans guy and you could tell by his kindness and southern hospitality. (Dude gave me a delicious carrot cake to go) Unfortunately in the end I had to walk back out into the reminder that I was in Castro valley and not New Orleans but for minute I was able to remember everything that had previously experienced from my trips there and that's what a great meal should do for you. His city should be proud of what he created here. I will absolutely be back to work my way through the full menu and add more pics to this review.
