**Under New Ownership** As of January 2024 this place has new ownership and chef, but kept the same name. I stopped in for lunch and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The family that owns this quaint restaurant is from Karachi, so this is authentic Pakistani cuisine, not the typical flavorless kabob joint! They have a interesting menu with all the typical grilled and curried favs. I tried their chicken karahi (A.K.A. Chicken Qarai) and asked for it spicy and it was perfect! Lots of nice spice flavor, as well as decent heat. I also opted for their chicken biryani and it was spot-on! Their hummus is also pretty good. However, their chickpeas are always a hit or miss. At times they are good, one time it tasted like they threw a bunch of tomato sauce in them. This last time you can see a layer of oil sitting on top of the beans...yuck! I have also tried their spinach, and it is always swimming in oil...totally gross. I finally came through and tried the Stafford Kabob Room and it was about what I expected. I ordered the combination #4 which consisted of Chicken, Beef, Lamb, and seekh kabobs with a salad, bread, and Spinach. The proteins were seasoned well and tasted good. The was warm and soft, the salad was chopped up and I mean chopped up almost like a pico de gallo spread on shredded lettuce so I was not impressed with it. The spinach though was great and seasoned a bit spicy which I really liked. The meal came packaged as a carryout and took about 15-20 minutes to prepare and then I was called to the counter to pick it up. I decided to dine in as I was not going home anytime soon, the restaurant has limited seating and seems to focus on carryout more than dine in but that is understandable as it's a small restaurant. If choosing to dine in the restaurant is dimly lit with most of the light coming from the front glass windows. The gentleman that greeted me was polite and explained the menu as I looked it over and confirmed my order before he disappeared in to the kitchen to prepare it. This spot serves gyros and kabob in Stafford. It was pretty disappointing. I'll start with my gyro platter lamb meat which was basically microwaved sliced deli meat that had been frozen. It was pretty gross, I was expecting it to be fresh or at least cooked rotisserie style. When I called to place my order I had also asked for a salad and he told me salad comes with the gyro and asked if I still wanted one..(don't you want the sale?) so I said no. The lamb (I think) kabob was delicious, as was the chicken. The only room for improvement was with the beef kabob and is the only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review.
