I had a pretty simple lighting question that I couldn't find an answer for online, so I called... after all their site says "ask us anything" so I figured a call was easy enough. I simply wanted to know if I bought 3 of the ceiling mounted pendants for lighting, is it possible to get one large ceiling mount rather than 3 small ones, like what is offered for many other pendant products. I called customer service and was shocked by how rude the salesperson was on the phone. He said he would have to talk to the lighting department and "they're not going to like it" and then that team would have to contact the vendor to ask. He then made me very aware that any modifications to the product wouldn't be covered under warranty... I told him I understood that and he kept on hammering on it, saying the easy answer to all this "is just no" and they "don't do custom orders." I reiterated that other products that look extremely similar on their site have a solution, so just want to see if we can figure out a way. It's ok if not, but let's see if we can. He said "I guess I can email them... is that what you want me to do?" I finally found a light I liked, was ready to buy if they could help me figure out how. If it's not possible, that's ok! But can we at least try without having it be a big battle? I'm a customer calling customer service, just asking for some help, and this guy was a royal jerk. NOW, not only am I NOT going to be buying the light from them, I also won't be buying the sofa, the coffee table, or art from them either. Their prices are already high, but I like the style of many of them so always thought it was worth it. After this experience, no way.
