I went to this HomeGoods location last week and purchased a gorgeous $200 mirror, which I unfortunately broke 2 minutes after I bought it while trying to fit it in my car (totally my fault). The staff was SUPER helpful hauling the mirror and broken glass away too. I didn't ask for a refund because, like I said, entirely my fault, but I got a notification from my credit card today that HomeGoods had issued me a full refund (again, which I didn't request, so totally of their own volition) -- that is incredible customer service. read more

After contacting corporate, they referred my information to the bank that issues the credit card and they were able to halt the credit card before being issued. Although, the original application did trigger a hard credit check, which lowers your credit score. Corporate also told me they would provide training to the cashiers there to ensure they know that both cards are credit cards. I upped my review due to corporate being on the ball and doing the right thing in response. read more

I haven't found a HomeGoods I don't LOVE yet. This one is conveniently located next to Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and super chicken!! If you have been to the home goods in Gaithersburg than this store is huge in comparison. I need to find the bigger HomeGoods everyone keeps talking about. This one in particular is full of fun eclectic furniture, modern decor, beautiful paintings and a lot more home furnishings. I came to this particular location because I have my eye set on mercury stained lamps and I haven't been able to find them at my local HomeGoods. I had no luck here but I did pick up this GORGEOUS piece of art for my kitchen. It was a little overpriced at $130 but I do not regret it at all. It really sets the whole room off. I believe it was a Nicole Miller piece but I will have to confirm that later. I find they carry a lot of Nicole Miller items which are just gorgeous! I definitely think this HomeGoods is worth stopping by and checking out. I actually didn't even have to wait that long in line. I was shocked! read more

On 10/29/23, I spent 30 minutes shopping in the store. I found an item but preferred it in another color. When I approached ERIC/Manager and female employee, I shared that I had a question. ERIC/Manager made a gesture with his hand and turned around and walked away. I found that rude but said nothing about it. The female employee answered my question politely, but I was not sure she understood. A male employee approached, and I asked him. The two them shared more information and the male employee offered to search the information online. When we got to the front the male employee shared information with ERIC/Manager. ERIC/Manager looked at me and asked - what do you want? I shared that I wanted to know: 1) if Home Goods sold the item I was holding in another color; 2) if yes, is there a way of finding out which stores have it; 3) can the item be purchased online. ERIC/Manager told me that he did not know if the item came in another color and items could be purchased online. I said great this young man has offered to look it up online. ERIC/Manager then says items cannot be purchased online. I asked is it that consumers cannot purchase online but stores can. ERIC/Manager said nothing can be bought online. I asked if he was sure because he had changed his answer. ERIC/Manager YELLED - THANK YOU, HAVE A GOOD DAY SIR. I shared that I still not clear and I asked my question again. Louder, ERIC/Manager YELLED - THANK YOU, HAVE A GOOD DAY SIR. I displayed the same gesture he exhibited to me when I first approached him and walked away. Yet again, ERIC/Manager YELLED - THANK YOU, HAVE A GOOD DAY SIR. I turned around and asked him his name. ERIC/Manager YELLED - MY NAME IS ERIC. THANK YOU, HAVE A GOOD DAY SIR. ERIC/MANAGER stood by the entrance doors and stared in my direction as I completed my purchase. As I left, ERIC/MANAGER SIMPLY GLARED AT ME AND SAID NOTHING. The behavior exhibited to me was RUDE and UNNECESSARY. I believe customers should be able to ask questions. I believe Managers should exhibit behavior that encourages a sale and a welcoming feeling. If a manager is sensitive to questioning then the customer should be referred to the corporate headquarter's customer service number. Additionally, ERIC should wear the name tag assigned to him that displays his name instead of one does not so he can be easily be identified without someone asking his name. Yelling is a scare tactic or method of bullying -- none of which is pleasing in 2023. read more

(October 19th 2022 between 11am-2pm Cashier #1) This is actually my favorite store. The reason for the low stars is that at checkout I was basically harassed into signing up for their credit card. I do not mind being asked once. I don't even mind a second time where she brought out the info showing me where all I'll save if I do sign up. But once I say "no" that should be the end of it. I was basically held hostage by her sales pitch because she stopped ringing me up to continue her "won't take no for an answer" position. Now I understand why they have such long lines at their stores because each customer getting rung up is taking 3x as long because they're running credit applications and if not, a hard core sales presentation! And I've worked retail before. This is 100% the fault of management who's taking orders from corporate. This is the behavior of an employee who's been given a quota to fill or they'll lose their job! I know it when I see it. She literally hounded me like her job depended on it because it probably does! SHAME ON YOU CORPORATE! You should be ashamed of yourselves putting that kind of pressure on a cashier which translates to a bad customer experience. You should consider yourselves lucky you get people to work for you at all. read more

It's not so much that the product we purchased, a rug in this case (very large 10x14); It was more so the store manager Mary Lou, who after seeing me with a broken arm waiting in line to simply order the rug insisted I go through the very long line of 15 or more folks in order to purchase it. She was adamant in not allowing the clerk to help, after the clerk had agreed to meet me at the check out with the carpet in tow. Manager Mary Lou insisted I go through the the 15 min line a 2nd time with my $500 purchase. I own my own company and would have serious is with an employee acting like this towards a client. read more

Even though you're shopping on a budget, you really don't feel like it since this is Tysons Corner and you get more of a middle to upper/middle class crowd trying to stretch their dollar to compensate for the skyrocketing gas prices since Iran is threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz. After saving the hundreds of dollars they would have otherwise spent at the mall or other designer boutiques they stuff the trunk of their Mercedes Benz and drive off. read more

A clerk at the Vienna, VA store failed to return my gift card to me - it had a $200 balance. When I called the Corporate offices in Massachusetts, they were able to see that the card now had a zero balance. I feel robbed....the Corporate office told me they were unable to do anything else, despite having records which would show who made those remaining purchases - most likely the clerk who checked me out. I tried to reach Michael Ball, District Manager, at his Falls Church office, but he refuses to call me back. I will not be revisiting this chain of stores. read more

so i am in #homegoods and came to return a stepping stool that broke from underneath me. I go to the cashier and explain to her what happens and she spends over 5 minutes talking to the store manager; she comes back places a sticker on the stool and asks me for my identification. i look at her and ask if she told her manger what happened and she says no; i ask her to speak with the manager, once he comes over i explain to him that i bought a stool and it was defective in his nature. Why must i go through this extensive process of completing a return for $7 ( mind you it's not the money it's the principle behind it) His response, of the bat is combative w/ me, so i ask him for his name. He gives me his first name and walks away as i'm asking him for his last name. I ask the cashier for his last name and she refused to give it to me. So yes i called the non emergency police to the store. Once the police arrived they got his last name and then the store filled out a trespassing notice for me ( as if i would want to shop her again ) !! Then i was told by the policeman that the stool in question was not from this store- low and behold i ended up finding the receipt that listed the stool on it (storage organizer). So not only was this handled inappropriately but they tried to make me out to be a liar ! Personally i was lucky that i didn't fall on my back and severely injury myself ! read more

After wandering around Tyson's Corner's furniture shops (West Elm, Z Gallerie, Arhaus, Restoration Hardware) all afternoon, I was relieved to find myself in the very affordable Homegoods store! It's like the TJ Maxx of furniture and household items....you can find anything from rugs, bedding, couches, end tables, lighting fixtures, decanters...EVERYTHING. It's also nice & bright and fairly well-organized, considering all the stuff they have inside. Thus, if you are budget-conscious, creative, and interested in interior design, this is the place for you! I am happy with all my purchases here so far (lamp, laundry basket, welcome mat, silicone spatula, eco-conscious frying pan, area rug, candles etc). In fact, if you search through the store carefully you'll probably find items that look like they'd be worth $400 at Restoration Hardware for a quarter of the price - isn't finding a good deal half the fun of shopping? This is a great store. It is much larger than the store at Bailey's Crossroads. It has a lot more selections of everything. I think this store has twice (or more) selections on Christmas decor than the other store. And the cashiers were friendly and staff were helpful. That's definitely a bonus. Great selection but be careful to examine EVERYTHING before purchasing because they have tons of broken/scratched/dented items. It's unclear whether customers abuse goods or the store actually expects to sell broken items. Shopping here is sort of like doing a treasure hunt, but it does feel rewarding to win the game. Their selection is probably the best in the area (maybe the location has something to do with it...) What is especially unique about this particular Home Goods is that they carry dining tables. I rarely ever see dining tables at Home Goods stores. Typically, they carry patterned arm chairs, bar stools, dining chairs, and benches, but almost never tables. A rustic/vintage-looking dining table (table alone) was going for around $186, I believe. Not bad. Of course, the quality was probably only so-so, but this is a fantastic option for a starter home or apartment. Another great find was a vintagey wicker picnic basket, boxy variety, which came with two wine glasses and a few other picnic accessories. I got mine on Amazon for around fifty bucks. Home Goods' merchandise was going for half that price! Oh, I was so bitter. I pushed the picnic basket around in my cart for a bit, fuming and contemplating buying another one for myself but finally came to my senses and put it back. Anyway, check out the picnic baskets if you like having old-fashioned picnics or need something like this for setting a scene. Despite the store being conveniently located off Rt. 7, I find it's proximity to corporate buildings, the construction of the Silver Line, and the mall too much. If these factors don't deter you, definitely check out the Tysons Home Goods. read more

The store is very organized and clean. Even the clearance aisles had items that were neatly arranged to the best of their ability. There was a section in the back of the store with additional furniture that was marked down. Some items were clearly damaged, so a label indicating what the damage is would have been helpful for the customer. On this particular visit, there was a great selection of floral centerpieces and unique food items. There was ample walkway space to maneuver with a shopping cart so that was a plus. However, it was a Saturday afternoon with only 2 cashiers open. The wait was about 10-15 minutes. read more

This store is great - lots of modern furniture and eclectic decor. My only issue with this place is the con artists. I was casually shopping today after work, alone. I was approached by two different women at different times, posing as shoppers. They both started out by complementing me - One woman complemented my shoes and the other complemented my top. Then they proceeded to ask me the exact same questions: Where did you get your shoes/top? Which location? Do you shop there a lot? Do you live/work nearby? At that point, I politely said goodbye and walked away. Apparently this is a scam where these women are targeting other women, and they want your personal information, probably so they can steal your identity. Beware! Homegoods - please be vigilant about these scam artists and kick them out. They're making your customers uncomfortable and trying to steal from them. read more

I've been living In the Tyson's neighborhood and since coming to this location for the last 3 years. The staff is always on point and the selection is of higher value than any other location I have visited. Since covid, I've put some emphasis on making home more comfortable and want to thank the manager and team at the home goods in Tyson's for being there to provide a friendly/ familiar place and for not missing a beat during the awful mess that has been 2020. I am an artist and buy a lot of glass from Home Goods. As such, I have visited a lot of Home Goods, from Asburn to Alexandria. I havent found a Home Goods that I can resist. The one in Tysons, is by far the worst I have encountered vis a vis service. I have tax exempt status and used to carry my papers with me always. A few years ago, they updated their system and now, I just have to provide them with my telephone number and they can bring up my details. I can prove my identuty with my driving license. However, today when I was in the store; I was asked to show my papers. When I replied that I was in the system, they refused to acknowledge that. The Manager was extremely dismissive, disparaging and condescending. I shopped in the Leesburg store last week, and they just found me in their system. Problems only arise in this store. Unfortunately this store ismy home store. Its very sad that I always have horrible experinces in this store only. They have everything from furniture, cookware, frame, rug, to kids' toys. I can spent a really long time browsing. I wanted to buy something, but I just could not find anything good enough to buy. The quality is average or even below average. Where do they get the goods from? The same item could not be find at another store. What is going on? I wasted my trip only to find out it is not there. The store is relatively new and it is kept pretty clean. They also have clearance sections in each area of the store. read more

Make sure whatever you buy here you want to keep, because they won't let you return anything and treat you like a criminal for asking. A lot of this stuff is broken or damaged so you aren't really getting a bargain. The last thing I purchased broke with one washing, another strainer I bought started to rust immediately. read more

I LOVE Home Goods! What's great about this one is the location - it's right by Marshall's, and not just any Marshall's, but one with a great women's shoes selection and more organized clothing racks. Plus, you have Super Chicken in the same shopping center (which is good), and Pier One if you feel like browsing, since Home Goods is unbeatable in value for the most part. Also, in the shopping center literally next to this one west of Route 7, you have the T.J. Maxx with their runway section and nice little children's section. I recommend Home Goods in general, but just a few perks in shopping options with this location. read more
