This turned out to be a HUGE blessing because we received several responses but the one that stood out the most was Greg from GT Stone Works. He quickly responded to my inquiry and was the most pleasant, respectful and incredibly thorough person we spoke with. He was highly knowledgeable about all things countertops and could not only answer all of our questions, but also asked us questions to help us think of things we hadn't thought about. We knew right away that we wanted to work with him and boy, are we so glad we did! Greg walked us through the entire process, was even super patient when we realized midway between his driving to us that we had to postpone the measuring until the sink was installed (we were newbies!), had solid vendors he uses to source the materials, and thoroughly communicated with us throughout the process. We decided to go with quartzite and he even FaceTimed us to make sure we were happy with where he was cutting out the pieces to get us precisely what we envisioned. If you in the market for a countertop, look no further than Greg. He will take care of you every step of the way and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. He is a natural stone expert! Our kitchen is now 12 years old and it is used like a kitchen -- we do not just order takeout and throw things in the fridge. Kitchen use = granite abuse. Art sets realistic goals. You cannot make something that is heavily used and abused into something brand new again, but that does not mean you have to let it fall behind either. I parked in the residential street around the block, a very short walk to the shop. The shop is located near Brand Blvd. where all the car dealerships are so very convenient to find. We found out that our bathroom shower wasn't sealed correctly and were faced with having to re-do our bathroom. We started the process looking at Floor and Decor which was fine but felt impersonal. My husband suggested we stop by Glendale Tiles and Tops which is in our neighborhood. It was there that we found our dream tile for the shower statement wall. Martin and Abel were the team who did demo, tiling, constructing the new shower etc. They were lovely to work with. Martin is a very talented tile installer and Abel was his right hand man, always professional and hard working. They set up and protected our floors every day, were very clean and considerate and maybe most importantly did an excellent job. The electrician and the shower door guys that were brought in by the team were also very kind and good at what they do. Whenever we hit a snag or problem - for instance we had to figure out placement of the mirrors and that was a bit of a puzzle, Sam would come by noodle on the problem until we came to a solution. We ended up buying a vanity base and Sam made the vanity top - we used the same quartz on the shower bench, looks great. I couldn't be happier with the final result. It's truly a dream bathroom and we had a wonderful experience.
