After fabrication / installation update: The granite we picked out was finally installed last month. We got a quote from the fabricator at $42 per square foot!!!!! Kind of stuck at that point because our project was set back a few months waiting on appliances. We learned that the fabricators raised labor prices significantly from the quotes we got in December. Beware that you should call fabricators and ask lots of questions before you purchase your slabs so you know what to expect budget wise. read more

I was looking for leathered gray stone to use on a coffee table and end table. The guys were super helpful in pointing out remnants to consider. Once I found a piece for the coffee table, they were able to find a matching remnant for my end table. Pricing was great. They even have fabricators to recommend you to (and the bonus is they drop off the pieces at the fabricator for you). Today, I went in to look at granite slabs. I found a piece that I loved by a wonderful young sales person. I asked what the price would be and he gave me a price of $273. When my Granite installer then called, they gave him a price of $360. When I called back, the owner said that they can only guarantee the price they gave the installer. This is horrible business practice. If you give somebody a price, that's the price. You don't mark it up. You especially don't mark it up to the installer who has to make money on the same item. I realize that everyone is human and makes mistakes, but the owner did not take full responsibility and back up what her employee had offered. I had already spent three hours of my day, Granite shopping in Garden City, which is nowhere near where I live. Then, I need to start over because at the end of the day, I got this phone call that there was a mixup. Now the granite won't be picked out in time for the install on Monday! This is disgraceful. She not only lost my business, she lost the business of the granite installer. read more

The best place to go for quality stone on any budget! On my first visit I was "window shopping" but after having a short talk with Gisele about my budget and what I wanted to accomplish with my kitchen remodel she showed me their HUGE selection in the remnant yard and I was able to piece together enough granite after a few visits to complete my remodel. I still can't believe I got the countertops I wanted for under $1,000! All my guests comment on the leathered texture which gives the countertops a slate or soapstone look to complete the farm house feel. The leathered finish is something I've only seen a large selection of at Rock Bottom, as well as the prices! So happy with the quality and value that I was able to afford matching countertops for the bathrooms and a window bench in the living room to tie the whole house together. Very impressed. read more

do not trust them. 1st I was lied to. They claimed my quartz on hold broke when really they sold it. 2nd I paid in full for a piece of quartz at a location down the street through them. My husband and I walked into Rock Bottom Granite and was immediately greeted by staff (Madison) and was willing to do whatever they could to make us feel comfortable in this current Covid environment. Madison helped us out with what we were looking fo and we found the perfect granite with the best prices in town. They were willing to display all the pieces so we could pick which ones we wanted. Their customer service is spot on. Then a few weeks later we decided to change up to use two different styles of granite in our home and again they were spot on. There is a strong dichotomy between Rock Bottom and its competitors, with Rock Bottom being on the winning side. The beautiful stone yard is at the end of Murray St (not the best signage, but keep driving to the end and its' enchanting entrance is off to the left). One would anticipate shopping for granite would be synonymous with cold and lifeless, but not here! This FAMILY-RUN business makes you feel welcome from the start without the pressure of buying (or feeling of wandering aimlessly in a warehouse?) from some other suppliers. The owner and his family showed us around the yard, asking what our project was/what colors we were looking for. When we found a slab that seemed like it would work, the owner wanted us to be completely happy with our choice so he drove the slab into the sunlight so we could really experience the natural rock in full. I'm a little late writing this review, but wanted to share my experience. The folks at Rock bottom were supper helpful and friendly. We actually bought some specialty green granite and they help it for several months while we got our remodel going. The granite fabricator then told us the granite was too soft for our purpose. They graciously refunded our money even though we had paid for it months earlier. The service from this family business could not have been better. read more
