1 star for the inventory, 0 for ownership/management/customer service. I used to be a regular here, this was my go to spot for band shirts. Prices are a little steep at $30 but the quality was always good. The dude with the long hair who works here always helped me & was always cool with me until now. Has a distinct raspy voice which is easy to recognize. Never claimed he was the owner or manger whenever my girlfriend & I would go in there but he certainly acted like it. Not sure if it was done to avoid any heat from customers if accountability would come calling. Came here on December 19th 2023 to get my girlfriend a band shirt for Christmas. The shirt design wasn't to her liking which was no biggie, so we came back to see if we can swap it out for another shirt on New Year's Eve. Long haired dude wasn't working that day, but we were helped by a young female employee who was friendly. We came in and told her we wanted to exchange a shirt and showed her the receipt. She immediately gets on the phone with her manager to ask permission? The conversation between her & her manager was in Spanish, luckily my girlfriend is fluent. It seemed as though the owner was already defensive and rejected our request to ask for an exchange. My girlfriend asked to speak with him and he was put on speaker and immediately I recognized the raspy voice. He told my girlfriend that we only had a week to exchange the shirt otherwise we could only exchange it for another size. We explained that it was a Christmas gift bought a week before Christmas so there was no way we could've met the deadline. His tone was arrogant & unprofessional. Told my girlfriend that he explained that to me when I purchased the shirt which he clearly didn't because we were talking about him training a new employee that day. In his words he said, "If they don't ask me the policy I won't tell them". No 30 day policy or details are written on the receipt or anywhere in the store. He told us that "He's the owner & he can run the business however he wanted to". Sounds pretty shady & untrustworthy, especially to a regular customer who kept this business going. The young female employee had her mouth open and looked shocked that her employer spoke to us that way. Good job at setting an example for your staff, which we heard is getting paid under the table. This kind of attitude, tone, & behavior for a business is unacceptable. We won't be returning. read more

I already knew this store since before it opened in Riverside. Therefore I already knew what to expect. Its nice and quiet. Very well stocked with shirts, shorts, pants and many more. Nice employees, as their instore inventory grows I look forward to coming back. read more

I met Juan González mota who also goes by Leo for an interview a few weeks ago. Shopped at the store a couple times and seemed like a cool place to work at. At the interview he told me he wanted people that will help take his store places that will want to grow with him and open multiple stores. He also mentioned ex employees and how he went through a total of 10 employees within a year and let them all go because he said they were all "money hungry" and only there for a paycheck. He even told me the longest employee he had only lasted 2 months. So many red flags for an employer but during the interview he made it seem like a really cool place to work at and I was excited for something new. He hired me on the spot I was working Thursday-Monday doing 41 hours a week. My first day I saw how messy and disgusting the bathroom and break room was he had me clean his whole store while he did nothing but sit down all day and make videos not even showing what was in store only showing his face. Already on my first week working there he gave me a key to the store. I would leave the store clean and every time I came back to work from my days off the whole store would be messy he didn't upkeep the store while I was gone and would basically just wait for me to go back to clean everything. Juan was also paying me under the table. I was not comfortable with that at all and Juan was also underpaying me and not paying my hour OT I was not able to take any breaks uninterrupted because I was alone in the store. When I called him asking about my pay he got really defensive and told me he was underpaying me because he was "testing me out". He never mentioned any of that in the interview. He was completely fine breaking multiple laws. When he came back into the store he told me I was not worthy enough for minimum wage, he told me my morals were wrong because I didn't accept the pay he was giving me bc I did not clean up after him once I mentioned he was breaking the law he got even more defensive and decided to let me go. Once I told him he will be paying me minimum wage he told me he will write a check with the total amount and that I had to write him a check for the time he gave me to train me. He told me multiple times on my first week he liked my work and by the end of my first week he said I can have the job as long as I want but the moment I stared questioning him about my pay he started to say my work was not good enough that I did not meet his expectations. Do not work here, do not sell yourself short for someone who only see's you as maid. I wouldn't even want to support a business that takes advantages of their employees and underpays them. I met the store owner, Leo, for a job interview at the Montclair location. He said he was offering a full time position on the weekends. Friday and Saturday from 10am-9pm and Sunday 11-7pm. He said he wanted his business to feel like it was run by a family; people who care for the store and each other. At the interview, he wanted me to work for him immediately, but I needed two weeks to give my second job a notice and he seemed to be understanding. He also said he would be paying me in cash only At first, it seemed enticing and I was excited to work for him; but I still had questions. He asked me to come in the store before my first day to get in the POS system and essentially train, and even had me check out a customer. I never got paid for that time given to him. I called Leo and asked him if he would be giving me overtime pay at all and what he considered to be overtime and he IMMEDIATELY told me if I was so money hungry that I shouldn't come in on Friday and he'd find someone else. He told me that I shouldn't have asked that question and whoever wanted me to ask (my Father) was wrong!!! My question was entirely valid for someone who would be working for him and he became defensive and wanted to turn me away, I didn't want to lose this opportunity, so I reasoned with him and told him I'd see him on Friday. After giving this some time, I didn't feel safe working with someone who didn't want to obey the laws and insulted me and my family. I told him over the phone that he would need to find someone else for the weekends, thanked him for the opportunity and wished his business the best of luck. He hung up on me! You can say that the store is cool, and it's nice, but this is the man behind the business and it speaks for itself. read more
