We've heard good things on Instagram about Rock n Roll Ribs, so we thought we'd give it a try since we live nearby. The ambiance is that of a rock club venue, complete with a drum set and music memorabilia covering the walls. Rock music videos were playing, ironically none of which were from Iron Maiden, lol. Our server, a tall blonde woman, was excellent. She helped us with food recommendations and was very attentive and sweet. My husband and I ordered the same combo platter of ribs and pulled pork. I also ordered the in-house beer called Trooper and it was delicious. The ribs fell off the bone and I loved the light char on them and the spicy bbq sauce was excellent. The steamed veggies were average and the macaroni and cheese had a wonderful flavor, though the cheese sauce was a bit thin. The pulled pork was a bit dry but also had great flavor. My husband got the onion rings which were good but oddly had an Italian seasoning flavor to it, maybe would have paired better with a marinara sauce. The Texas toast was typical of its kind. Overall, we would definitely return for the ribs and to try other parts of the menu. read more

We've been here once before and had an okay experience, so when my dad chose this place for Father's Day because he was really looking forward to the ribs, we were excited to come back. He even called ahead to ask about a reservation and was told it wasn't necessary. We arrived around 7 PM and the restaurant was packed. There were two dirty tables right in front of us, while we noticed three open booths in the back. After waiting for a while, we were told they needed to clean the tables before seating us. We eventually had to specifically ask if we could sit at one of the available clean booths in the back. After we were seated and had a few minutes to look over the menu, our waitress informed us that they were out of chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and fries. Considering we came specifically for the ribs for Father's Day, this was extremely disappointing. Overall, the experience felt poorly managed. I understand busy nights happen, but running out of multiple main menu items and having trouble seating guests made the evening frustrating. Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown. read more

We came to Rock n Roll Ribs tonight at 8pm (they're close at 9pm). There were a decent amount of tables filled but by 8:40 pm it was just us and another table and they started putting the chairs on the tables, cleaning (smelling cleaning products when you are eating actually ruins how you taste the food). We understand they probably had a very long day and wanted to get out as soon as they closed the door. It's unfortunate though. I feel like we arrived with plenty of time but it felt like we should've taken it to go and enjoyed it slowly at home. The servers were VERY nice. Very down home. We ordered some drinks and I'm not a beer drinker but I tasted the Trooper beer and it was actually very smooth and something I didn't wince when trying. The Pino Grigio was very light with little body and a very small glass to where it was filled to the rim vs space in the glass for it to open up. The food was 2.5-3. We would rate it as bar food that was very 'British' in that it didn't have much depth in flavor or spices and was very 'vanilla'. It tasted fine but nothing was outstanding or memorable. The onion rings are ginormous cut! The jalapeno poppers were decent. The sweet potato fries were not cooked fresh and were very dry (end of the day I suppose). They were out of regular fries and the potato salad was different (had peas and corn) but could've been more fresh. The coleslaw was good. The garlic bread looked very tasty but sadly it was garlic powder or garlic salt so it wasn't what we expected. The ribs and pulled pork was tender but not really smokey. The bbq sauce is very average with no choices of spice. They were out of mozzarella sticks and regular fries, so that was disappointing. The veggie burger was good and flavorful. Messy because the patty is so much bigger than the bun but it would be nice to be able to add avocado or jalapeno's, something to spruce it up a little. The veggie burger with onion rings would be worth coming back for. The atmosphere, phenomenal! All of the Iron Maiden memorobilia was so awesome! That definitely caught my eye! Sadly, they had little to no merchandise I could buy. They said they've been waiting for weeks to get a shipment. We wouldn't return for the food so much. My husband got the final frontier dog cause he has been talking about it since the last time we went. it's huge and taste so good with the crispy bacon wrapped around the whole thing. we went for a bday gathering and they were very accommodating and put us in a corner so we didn't bother anyone else. our server I don't recall her name, but she said she had been there for 16 years. Came here for father's day and it wasnt too busy to say the least. The space is kind of small but has a nice vibe especially if you are familiar with Iron Maiden. Service was fair, nothing exceptional but to it didnt seem there were many servers on duty that evening so I cant complain all too much. We started off with their combo platter that came with onion rings,mozzarella sticks, and chicken tenders. To start, the onion rings were excellent, definitely some of the better onion rings I've had. As for the mozzarella sticks and tenders, they just tasted frozen and or store bought. I wanted to try their grilled chicken breast but it turns out they didnt have that at the time, they also didnt have shredded chicken either which I thought was weird. We were also informed that they were down to just two full rack of ribs left in inventory remaining so we ended up getting one since we wanted to try their ribs anyway. I ended up just getting their ribeye with toast and potato salad. My father got their burger with fries and coleslaw. My mother and got onion rings and a baked potato along with sharing the full rack with me. Starting with the ribeye, it was meh, not blowing your socks off good but didnt make me hate it either. I asked for a medium rare cook and definitely did not get that but I didnt bother to complain since I didnt want to make a fuss. I knew the steak wouldn't come out prepared as I asked since it took just over 30 minutes for our entrees to arrive. The garlic toast is just as good as garlic toast gets and so was the potato salad. Now onto the ribs, they were very hit or miss, some parts of the ribs would be extremely dry and tough meanwhile some parts would have some moisture to them but still be kinda dry. I personally wouldn't order the ribs again seeing how dry they were. The baked potato my mother ordered was also a bit small and didnt really have anything special going for it. You could honestly make a better baked potato at home in the microwave with some proper seasoning. According to my father the burger was great so I'll take his word for it. Overall id say this is a decent spot if you're looking for a unique restaurant to eat at with mediocre barbecue. Ordered to go: two burgers a chicken sandwich and a trio which consisted of onion rings chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. The chicken sandwich was extremely dry. Very overcooked. Don't recommend it. Both my companion and I notice the burgers have an aftertaste that stays with you a long time. Seemed like charcoal . Additionally the ventilation is not really good. The one thing I went there for with a friend was to try their ribs, and were they Deelish!! We were at the end part of their day, didn't expect them to close so early, saying they ran out of a lot things. But that's ok, the ribs made up for human error. My brother ordered the frontier hotdog with coleslaw and onion rings, he had no complaints except for the apple juice that he thought would come in a glass like the other drinks but it came in the little Tropicana bottle. Had lunch there on Thursday. I've been there before, but the food seems to get better with each visit. The restaurant itself is rather small but the service is great and the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! My wife and I both had the baby back ribs. I hadn't had real BBQ since my last trip to Georgia back in '18. They nailed the ribs. The meat was so tender and came right off the bone. I got mashed potatoes & gravy and macaroni & cheese -- both heavenly. I took my friend from Cali and his Cali peeps were in awe from the pictures. Great lunch experience today! The two ladies working, Deb and I didn't catch the other woman's name, were SO nice and patient as we reviewed the menu. Very accommodating and friendly. Food was great! This is a restaurant I have had bookmarked forever to try but never got around to it. With gas prices being what they are, I am doing a little backyard exploring this summer which led me to lunch at Rock n Roll Ribs. Rock n Roll Ribs is owned by British Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain who decided to combine his love of rock with his passion for BBQ which he developed while touring around the United States with his band. A south Florida resident when not on tour, Nicko partnered with his close friend, guitarist, and restaurateur Rick "Moby" Baum to open Rock 'N' Roll Ribs. Every year they throw a huge anniversary party with concerts in the parking lot where Nicko signs autographs, at least he did pre Covid. This December will be their 13th year in business. This is a pretty small place seating about 70 people. I have actually never seen Iron Maiden in concert but I am a fan of one of Nicko's friends, Alice Cooper and was excited to see a signed Alice record on the wall behind the tiny stage with a small drum kit that is currently being used for restaurant storage. The rest of the walls are covered with Iron Maiden memorabilia. While you dine rock music is played but it is at such a low level that you are hard pressed to hear it. I have had a craving for ribs for several weeks now and it finally got satisfied with the baby back rib lunch special. My meal came with two sides and I chose the fries and macaroni and cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and came with a tasty sweet and dark tomato based sauce. I really enjoyed the fries but I'll take a hard pass on the macaroni and cheese. It was covered in a tasteless glop. My fault for not asking. I liked the baked kind and I could really help you guys out with a much better simple recipe. Hit me up on Pinterest. The food was fine but what makes this place stand out is all of the cool rock and roll decorations although I think it could be cleaned up a little bit. It is looking a little cluttery especially by the stage. I visited during a week day and it was pretty dead inside although I did see takeout orders flying out the door. The local restaurant review show Check Please portrayed a much more lively atmosphere which I would have preferred. The episode was shot a few years ago so maybe it is more sedate now or perhaps you have to go on a weekend. We came here because we're all big Iron Maiden fans! This place did not disappoint in atmosphere at all it was awesome! Our server was great and extremely talkative! We got the baby back ribs and the frontier dog which were incredible!!! The frontier dog was wrapped with bacon and chili and onion which was very yummy! The Mac and cheese and garlic toast were also extremely good. We were disappointed with the pulled pork and baked beans unfortunately. The baked beans felt like an overload of bbq sauce and the pulled pork was quite dry. All fans of BBQ will truly appreciate the aesthetic. Now the food truly takes you to a brave new world! The Iveys pulled pork sandwich is my go-to because it is a fantastic selection and it comes with two sides! I always have trouble choosing my sides because every choice is so delicious! However, I will say the onion rings are truly massive and the exact definition of what an onion ring should be. The only downside I have is that I wish the venue was a little bit bigger to avoid having to wait for a table. However, they do great takeout which is phenomenal when time is limited. The unassuming exterior of this seemingly small (from the outside) establishment located at the corner of a strip mall says only RIBS atop its entrance (in Iron Maiden-style lettering)... But the inside is in EVERY way the opposite; as it is an expansive visual overload of decor that demands a trip around the interior like it's a gallery or museum. The ribs were falling off the bone, charred to perfection, and very tasty but were LUKEWARM (don't understand why). My mashed potatoes were piping hot, creamy and seasoned very well but I'm thinking they came out of a box. The corn was chewy, mushy and kept sticking to my teeth when I bit into it, I couldn't eat it. And my garlic toast looked soooo delicious until I bit it and it tasted burnt so I flipped it over and yep burnt. You come here because you love Iron Maiden. The drummer of the band owns this restaurant and I think he comes here frequently when he is in town. The restaurant is decorated with the bands memorabilia and videos. Looks so cool!! Second - the Trooper beer. I lived in England and these beers are the ONLY good British beers. I've listened to rock and metal for decades and was familiar with Iron Maiden. Their drummer Nicko McBrain is owner of this restaurant. We decided to check it out since it's close. When we arrived we found a shopping center with many medical offices. There was ample parking. It's clear that someone invested time, money, and effort in designing this restaurant but the first impression is that the day to day operations are in the hands of the employees. There are old, handwritten notes plastered in different places including the windows and doors. The first impression wasn't great, but the host and wait staff made up for this. They are all super sweet and attentive. The food was okay. Nothing too special, but it arrived hot and pretty fast. We had a few burgers that were all cooked as requested. My dinner had the chicken sandwich. All side dishes were in order. There's memorabilia all over which is fun if you ate into Iron Maiden. There's a drum kit and hold records. A concert dvd was playing. No loud music. Apparently that starts after 7. I expected metal heads here, but instead there were many senior citizens eating dinner. If this place was in a different location the clientele would be very different. I don't believe we will go back but if we do it's for the attentive staff. read more
