I've only been here twice and I have to come back with my husband again for a date. I think this would be a really great date night place. The first time, I ordered out, the staff was friendly and receptive. I ordered the tuna tataki, it was sliced and seasoned perfectly; crab wontons, they're fried Panko style and it makes them super crunchy and delicious; the Madonna roll, it was ok never had crawfish in sushi before; and the Pearl Jam roll which is really nice. It does get super busy during lunch hours. The second time we ate in the restaurant and it took awhile for our food to come out. I think everything is a bit more chill during the evening. It's not a large space like some of the other sushi places in town. But the ambiance is really cool. If your kid doesn't like loud music or sounds, this isn't the place for them. Decided to try this place based on the latest reviews. We were the only table seated. The place was empty. Food came out at different times, the first roll came out in about 25min and the last roll never came. The rolls themselves were mediocre. Drenched in sauces that were overpowering. Keep in mind this place doesn't serve alcohol and only has 4 different soft drinks otherwise it's water. It's understaffed and only 1 chef working in the back. Hello, I recently placed a to-go order online and even added a tip, though I wasn't dining inside. When I arrived to pick it up, I stood at the front for over 15 minutes without being greeted or assisted. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but both staff members at the counter looked at me and continued with what they were doing without acknowledging me. When I asked the young man at the counter if I could take my daughter to the restroom while we waited, he just shrugged his shoulders. Afterward, I approached another young lady who kindly helped me right away and even apologized. Unfortunately, I then realized that my order had been sitting on the counter the entire time I had been waiting. Cool album cover menus. California roll good. Boston cream cheese roll eh. Salmon roll good. Spicy Chili Pepper Roll, which the sushi guy reccomended, was probably the best one. Hibachi shrimp seemed precooked, compared to the much hotter rice next to it. Sapporo beer dad said was adequate. Miso soup good. Last roll, one with Pop Rocks our hotel front desk lady had reccomended, had basically rotten avocado (it's not avocado country) and weird fish. It was a weird color too. I'll start by saying, our waiter was fantastic and not responsible for any of the reasons why I'm giving one star. I'd give him 5 for sure. However, those preparing the food fully deserve a singular star, if that. I understand Rock n Roll is not authentic sushi but we've been to many and always loved it. Every one I've been to has always been so kind to sub tempura shrimp for boiled shrimp to accommodate a gluten allergy. However, at this location, that is not possible. The only explanation was that the tempura shrimp comes pre-breaded. Understandable, but they literally could not understand how to sub one type shrimp for another. Second, the rest of my family agreed their rolls were the worst they've ever had anywhere else. My advice, if you like other Rock n Roll Sushi locations, avoid this one because it is not like the others. read more

I've given this place 4 chances. Each experience has been worse than the last. Some of the rolls I've gotten have been good but most just seem cheaply made and poorly prepared. The staff in my opinion seems lazy and checked out. When I came in today to pick up my order I waited 6 minutes before even seeing a staff member. There was only 1 other table in the whole place at this time, and nobody was waiting for to go orders, so I'm not sure why it took so long. The food itself was not great, and the service was awful. We kept being told to wait a few more minutes. We were never asked how things were. In general, the server seemed very uninterested in being there at all. We have been before, but the service and food were better than they were today. Based on our experience tonight, we will not be back. Despite the varied reviews, I thought this place was pretty good and I'd definitely go back. I ordered takeout through the Waitr App and I love that they have an option for "light rice" on the sushi rolls. I had one of their specialty shrimp tempura rolls with the kani on top. I really loved the quality of the kani they used, it didn't taste all sponge-y like some other brands I've tried. My only complaint is that the shrimp was battered in panko instead of actual tempura batter. I also ordered the Shrimp Hibachi and this too was very good but I thought the sauce was a bit on the salty side so next time I'll probably order it with white rice instead of fried rice to balance it out. read more

I have always loved the food her. But the last time I went I noticed a gratitude charge on my to go order. I have a family of 6 so we usually spend over a hundred easy with each order! I called to place a new order today and asked about it. I was told that it's something the owner puts on all orders but had no other explanation! And that it can't be taken off. So I cancelled my order and until they fix this my family won't be back and I will let friends and others know! Just since January my family has ordered here at least 10 that's at least $100 of my money they have for nothing! I didn't eat in and I alway do a tip! The service was terrible. They were severely understaffed for a Friday night. I waited 10 minutes just for someone to take my order. That should have been a sign to leave. It took another 40 minutes to get my food. Actually the bigger sign should have been the fact that not a single worker was wearing a mask properly. Two under the chin and two not at all. One worker was not changing gloves between orders. So much cross contamination... Hand on the raw fish, hand goes into the salad, hand goes into the bags... The service for one wasn't great, our server was very blunt and acted annoyed with us for not knowing what we wanted. The food was okay at best once we got it. I got the Madonna Roll and my husband got the Green Day roll and we got the wontons to start. The wontons were good, the sushi roll I got was decent and he didn't like his very much. We shared a spicy tuna tower of some sort, the twister? Maybe tornado? The avocado was fresh, but not so much the spicy tuna. Also shared.. spider roll, spicy shrimp roll, California roll, Red Hot Chilli Pepper roll, the Johnny Cash roll and a side of fried rice. Mom enjoyed the spider and fried rice. Great flavors. Highly dissapointed. Place has a great atmosphere. Ordered the miso soup, was not good at all. Way too watery and way too fishy. Then I ordered the sashimi salad, received the tuna sashimi salad instead. It was basically some lettuce, cucumber, tuna, a whole bottle of ponzu sauce and a whole bottle of Sriracha sauce. It was barely edible, the only thing I picked out was the tuna after I removed the bottles of sauce from it. We also waited 40+ minutes for three sushi rolls and the place wasn't busy at all. We never got our rolls, just ended up leaving. The best thing about this place was that the waitress was phenomenal.
