Located on the second floor of the Riverwalk Outlet Mall at the Port of New Orleans, this small stand does a great job putting out fresh sushi. You can choose both pre-made or made to order items. I chose the pre-made spicy crawfish roll and was not disappointed. I usually use soy sauce, ginger, and Wasabi with my rolls, but the spicy dressing and well seasoned Crawfish were perfect on their own. Don't let the location fool you. It offers a great alternative to the usual mall food people have become used to.

plastic swimming in their food. I almost chocked

Almost chocked on a piece of plastic mixed in their broth. Disgusting, and dangerous. Staff didn't care a bit and charged me for the bowl and drink claiming "I had some". I left cash to cover the soda and left. What a joke of a place!

The Spicy Tuna on Crispy rice is really good! The sweet girl Keiara Miller had fantastic customer service! Really enjoyed my experience!

Ordered the spicy tuna on crunchy rice and really loved it! The cashier Keiara Miller was a sweet girl with fantastic customer service! Overall a great experience and I'll definitely recommend and return!

Sooooo good! Best ramen I've had so far in Nola. Selena was a great server. Enjoyed the sweet tea she made especially!

Cool view of the river if you sit by the window. I really enjoy Rock n Roll Sushi. The one here and the one in Slidell. Great service from Selena!

We have been there few times whenever we visited New Orleans. They changed the location closer to the food court. This time I am so disappointed of their services, actually no service whatsoever and I paid 15% tips upfront. It used to be a full service restaurant but not anymore, when I requested water, I need to buy bottle water, I am a paying customer, they didn't even give me a glass of water. The ramen was salty, pork belly was like bacon, it was in a to-go container, no more river view, no more service. It was a down grade. I don't think I will go again.

This spot has the best views and even better people! Owned by women, they support the community any way they can. They are located in the Riverwalk and are centrally located in the mall, right above Forever 21. I went with a friend and I love sushi. I am obsessed. The views look out to the MS river and you can people watch as well. We asked BeeJay what was the most popular. I'm not a fan of cream cheese in my sushi but the one we order had it in there. We ordered the Cyndi and the heart roll friend. After I told her I did not like cream cheese, they made sure it was in there but not a huge chuck like other places would do. The edamame is delish! I love spicy edamame. They also have RAMEN! Enough said. The broth of the spicy ramen is delish and you must add some black garlic in there.

Didn't get a chance to try this place yet, but I wanted to sneak in and take some photos while I had the chance. This place looks super cool. They play really cool rock music. The vibes are immaculate. What led me to this place was the cool interior. I will definitely be coming back to check this place out. $10 headliner rolls each day, can't beat that price. The prices aren't terrible either. Small woman owned business, support local! :)

I enjoyed eating my spicy crawfish roll while watching the boats move up and down the river. Such a wonderful view while eating.

I've heard about this place prior to the one opening here. I love sushi and always wanted to go to this place, but there was never one here in the city. Until now! Checked out the menu and I love the theme of the restaurant. Walked in to place a to go order. I ordered the Spicy Crawfish Roll and the Thriller Roll. The Thriller Roll, named after the classic Michael Jackson hit "Thriller" of course. The servers were friendly, service was fast, and the ambience was great. Reminded he of Hard Rock Cafe, but it's a sushi based menu. If that's ok for me to say. I came home, opened the containers with the sushi, took one bite, and i was hooked! It tasted so good, and I was satisfied once finished. Located on the second level in the Riverwalk Mall, it's a small but great place if you wanna grab a bite before, after or in between shopping in the mall. I highly recommend this place. I will be a frequent guest.

This spot is located inside the river walk, I went on a date here, and when I tell you I was totally impressed. The sushi was the freshest I've ever had, the heart roll is to die for. The atmosphere is funk and there's an amazing Mississippi River view. The staff is polite and food comes out fresh and fast. The menu cover is old album cover.

Kenji Omakase will be a new annual special occasion go to. Japanese Omakase experience and style, a one of a kind food experience where every course is a harmonious blend of flavors, textures and eye appeal. The sushi chef talks you through each course after he places it on you platter. I asked if these were supposed to be eaten by hand if you wanted to, he agreed most people traditionally eat these that way. The flavors were buttery and tangy, textures delicate and sometimes a small crunch with fried scallions etc. We had tuna, ocean trout that was Similar to salmon but a different shade of orange, scallops and finished with waygu beef. It was amazing with each course the flavors seem to improve. A great experience, if you are any type of sushi fan or even on the fence, this could easily make you a sushi lover. I give this a complete recommendation. Try Kenji you will be very happy you did. The ambiance was fun also traditional Japanese. I may have Mis-named a few photos but know they are all just incredible journeys across your palate, hard to describe, melting with texture and flavors.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure if I agree with the current ratings of 4.7 this place has (as of Feb 2,…read more2025.) To me, based on our experience tonight, it's none other than a super over-hyped sushi restaurant that only has a high end feel to it. Service: was decent. We arrived at the place 11 minutes before our reservation time of 5pm. Since my daughter works in the restaurant industry, as a politeness, we didn't go inside until 4:59pm even though one of the workers came to the door and unlocked it at 4:51pm. Once inside he knew we were the 5pm reservation. He was polite but somehow his whole demeanor lacked friendliness. Menu: Even though the drink menu was an actual physical one, the food menu is online. How strange. After scanning the QR code, we were hoping to see a good selection of food items. But to our surprise, the food menu is/was very small. Actually this place's main thing is nothing but "omakase" where if you choose to order from the a la cart section, the choices are so limited (we were here in town from Denver, CO. After eating some deep-fried stuff for the last few days, we felt that we were truly healthy food or salad depleted; just to clarify, we didn't show up to to this restaurant just to eat salad because after all, this is a sushi restaurant. We love sushi. And yet we were hoping for some decently sized salad. Unfortunately none is/was found on the menu. I even personally asked the guy to see if the sushi chef could whip up something but he gave me a nonchalant no.) We still believed this place could do some magical things so we ordered a bowl of miso soup, oyster tarter (lobster tarter replacement), tuna, salmon and yellowtail nigiris. Miso soup, for the price of $10, was extremely small. Also the entire soup was lukewarm to a point where the center of the small tofu pieces was still cold. Ugh... All the nirigis tasted fresh but I didn't care for the sweet sauce (mainly used for unagi/eel) on the salmon nigiri. Why?? I've never had a salmon nigiri prepared this way.) The only item that was impressive was the oyster tarter (not on the menu as this was the replacement item for the lobster tarter.) This was excellent where we could have easily ordered another one but at this point, we didn't want to spend anymore $$ as all items on the menu are not cheap here. We are a fan of yuzu. The only dessert item (once again, there is only one dessert on the menu) is yuzu tart or something like that. One of the sushi chefs informed us though that the online menu hadn't been quite updated for this so he said it would be a yuzu sponge cake type thing. We decided to give it a try. This, however, failed to impress us either as it was a very much average sponge cake, nothing more at all. We didn't order any drinks besides the water so the final bill was about $75 with some change. Well, tonight's overall experience of ours didn't justify this amount in any way possible. There was another sushi restaurant that had the similar ratings with similar location (when we searched it yesterday.) Maybe we should have chosen that one instead. Disappointed....

We started with cocktails which had fun twists in flavor. We ordered the Omakase and upgrade one fish dish to the Wagu beef ($50). I dug in, forgetting to take a photo. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasty, including some unique ingredients like ginger imported from Japan. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough. If the chef is reading reviews... switch the miso soup with a mini-ramen to give the meal more substance.
